Sentinal on the Mac is simply amazing, it takes all the fuss and bother out of managing 2FA. I use it for all of my 2FA logins.

Great 2FA application

Many services now require the use of 2FA as an additional verification. I tried several applications and found them all quite complicated until I came across Sentinel.

Sentinel perfectly meets my needs, being simple, convenient, and easy to use.

The application is brilliant, as well as being one of the few to be really pretty!
What's more, the technical support team is always on hand to help. I was overwhelmed by the kindness, clarity and speed of their response. Of all the OTP applications I've tested, this is the one I'll remember!

Like many before me, I’m a Sentinel user for years now. What attracted me to the app was the reasonable pricing and great privacy policy. The developer is very kind and highly responsive, and the app itself works great, for most things. I only experienced problems with widgets, which I couldn’t get to work for a long time now, even after troubleshooting. I think the problem may be on my end.

Another reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the app cannot auto-fill codes. I have to open and it and manually copy a code each time.

I can, despite giving 4 stars, recommend it to everyone. It is my go-to 2FA.

This is my go-to Authenticator app! Syncs across all my devices, easy to import/export keys. Don’t want to ever be without it again. Gets my highest recommendation!

I usually hate trying out new apps of this nature where privacy is so important, because I never know what apps I can fully trust or not. (And yeah, the App Store customer reviews are helpful — sometimes — but what about the issue of fake reviews and/or reviews that were actually written by the app team themselves in an attempt to lure in new potential customers?)

Sentinel Authenticator has been the best two-factor authorization app I’ve ever used. It’s well-designed, perfectly functional with limited bugs, and has both a mobile (iOS) and a desktop (Mac) version — don’t worry, they sync over iCloud, so you’ll always have all your 2FA codes in one place when using Sentinel!

The ONLY issue I’ve ever had with the app(s) is the goddamn widgets. I’ve struggled to get the widgets (on both the desktop and mobile versions) to work properly since I first downloaded this app, and now that I’ve had it for over a year now (I think), I would have expected this same old issue to be fully resolved… it’s not. Oh well, maybe it’s just somehow something I’m doing wrong on my end? Cause I’ll give them credit where credit is due: everything else about the apps (besides the widget issues, which imo is only a minor issue since widgets aren’t necessary at all) is great! I’m totally satisfied with this app for all my 2FA needs and will continue to pay to subscribe to it each and every year until they stop updating it or it becomes obsolete or whatever.

Functional, and definitely more intuitive than similar app

I am using Sentinel for years now. Amazing how perfectly it integrates with Mac and iPhone making MFA token available on a brief click and no stupid typing. I also like the continuous improvements, every few weeks/months there is a new release which brings new great features to the table, like the usage of folders - I have an endless list of tokens and organizing it into folders makes it much easier to find them. Also love that you can reach out to them and always get a response.

I recently set out to find an alternative to Authy for my two-factor authentication (2FA).
I wanted an app that prioritizes data privacy while delivering an aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly experience.
To my delight, I stumbled upon an exceptional 2FA app that ticked all the right boxes.
This is why I highly recommend it!

Great app for storing my 2FA codes! Never had any issues and the iCloud sync always worked. I will be using it for the next years to come! :)
