Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 42 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people experienced frustrating issues with faulty hardware, including broken components, crashing systems, and failing motherboards shortly after initial purchase. Consumers frequently noted that customer service was entirely unhelpful, unresponsive, and extremely difficult to reach when trying to resolve issues. Additionally, buyers expressed deep dissatisfaction because warranties were rarely honored for severely damaged items. Though some customers encountered major hurdles, a small group of people were satisfied with their purchase overall. These individuals found specific hardware components to be exceptionally stable, durable, and dependable over long periods of use.

Poor Product, Poor assistance with Warranty

I recommend steering clear of their brand and products entirely.
I bought a FV43U which came with a stuck green pixel which stands out when displaying black or dark images. Refused to help with warranty when the shop that sold it also refused. Waste of money.

seems like none of their products work properly

i have had simular errors to people with motherboards on my graphics card: the rgb fusion doesnt work, the little white led on the top and the rgb logo stay on and the control centre has no option to control them most of the time and when the option actually pops up in the program it doesnt control anything sometimes when i turn it on the lights are both off but it still doesnt work as it should. when i try to play a game it stuters that much its unplayable and gigabyte dont bother to answer their tickets (ive put 2 in so far) needless to say i will NOT be buying anymore gigabyte kit!

finally got an answer off of gigabyte and they tell me to use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove the gigabyte software even though DDU only works on nvidia and AMD software so all it did was unistal my AMD adrenaline and leave the gigabyte stuff there. they also completely ignored my white led being stuck on and instead told me what to do if it was flashing. this company is USELESS!

Stay as far as possible away from this…

Stay as far as possible away from this company. Purchased a Gigabyte AORUS Master motherboard a year ago, while building my new PC. Within six months of purchase, the motherboard started having USB port problems. I contacted support and the runaround started. They had me either remove completely or remove and reseat components on the mother board including, CPU, Memory, GPU and all connected devices, nothing helped.
I then asked to return the motherboard for a refund or repair. Support said get a RMA that their motherboards were warranted for three years from date of manufacture. I asked for a RMA, and they said that I had to contact the RMD site. Never could get a good response from them on my email. Support said they had no way to contact the RMA department.
As of this posting, I still have no good response from them.

I had a very good experience with gigabyte Canada. I had an rma provided to me by form rather than online was not able to do it online, but they were kind enough to send me a form for power supply. They were very professional and responsive repaired the unit (750gpm) and sent me back a refurbished unit but like new and better than original. Very happy with gigabyte Canada.

Junk - Stay as far away from their products as you can!

I have a Gigabyte Mainboard and it has been a pain ever since I bought it.
There are constant static noises on my speakers when I connect them to the backside IO output - this is coming from the mainboard, no other device does that.

The Mainboard comes with RGB LEDs - by default orange.
I can not change the color, because their control software is basically a malware.

Let me explain...
If you have Adobe Products or Microsoft Office products installed, installing the Gigabyte software will WIPE your drives on restart (it actually wipes the adress table so data is luckily restorable with some effort and know-how)
I couldn't believe it myself when this happened to me, until I found multiple reddit threads on this issue.
Search for "RGB Fusion wiping drive"

Don't buy Gigabyte for any reason at all and warn your friends about this - if their software is that dangerous, their hardware sure as hell is too.

Sent in my 2070 originally during my warranty time and they sent me another in replacement. Ok that's cool I guess. Fast forward a couple months no issues but then problems started happening again all card related. PC displays randomly shut off during idle and had to constantly reboot to get my displays working or rather attempt to get them to show. Now I figured well I'm probably out of warranty by now. The serial code didn't work when I looked it up on the website so I personally called. The customer service guy said I have my warranty on this card til 2025! Alright cool I'll send it in. Week later I get a email saying this warranty was given out by mistake and all they can do was try and repair it. Lord behold the same card gets returned to me and not even a week later same issues arise. Artifacting and displays shut down randomly. I use my 970 as a backup and i have no issues so it is the card. Now I'm out my 2070 for real this time which was almost 500$ at the time. I'm disappointed that they didn't just honor that warranty that was given out my mistake and let me get a new 2070 or something and send me on my way knowing good and well that card was defective.
1/10 for wasting my time and money.

Cheap and Lazy.

Bought a brand new monitor from them for 800 pound less than 18 months ago. monitor developed a visual fault rendering it faulty. Contacted Gigabyte rather than the supplier as it was well within its 3 year warranty. Gigabyte had the nerve to ask for me to pay for its postage and packaging, which I refused. I went to my supplier who were happy to take it and send it to Gigabyte on my behalf. Gigabyte have now had my monitor for nearly an entire month with absolutely no word from them to me or to Scan, my supplier. They had the cheek to ask for postage from me, for this service? Absolutely horrendous customer service. I will never buy anything from them every again.

Bad update, mate.

My PC is barely 5 years old and both me and my partner look after our things really well.

Since the latest Bios update in September the PC has been acting up a little. It has crashed and frozen a few times, which is definitely not normal.

Since yesterday it doesn't even start up anymore.
We spent most of last nighttrying to reset the motherboard to the backup numerous times, using different suggested methods, and nothing has worked.

To top things off we had to find out through the community that the update is a beta version, something that gigabyte fails to tell you anywhere on their site?

The only conclusion we can come to is that the update killed my motherboard, and the only thing I can do is buy a new one?

Now I don't know if I really want to fork out for a new board from a company that seems to have little to no transparency about updates.

Possibly no real people but rather very bad AI

I did not have a real problem with my motherboard, after a BIOS update and some tweaking everything worked fine but the lack of a motherboard speaker annoyed me so I plugged one in on the header that says "speaker", expecting a confirming beep at startup and some coded long-short beeps in case of any issues. Instead it just makes a continuous racket until the machine is switched off. This did not seem right so I asked what signal I should expect from that speaker header.

First time around, 8 days after raising the ticked, I got a response that said I was unclear and they could not help me.

Really?

So I made it real easy, leaving out any context information, just straight to the question about the header that says speaker, next to the power switch header. What is it supposed to do?

Four days later they ask me to check the memory compatibility list and try with one stick only in slot B2.

I am torn between amusement and contempt.

Customer service is very bad they take 15 days minimum for a minor issue in the board and even after that they reject board just for the sticker damage i recommend to go for asus or msi board which are much more reliable and customer service is better

Stayyyy away please, they doesn’t care about you :’)

Please, never buy something from them. I bought a graphic card 7900xtx, it was faulty. I sent it to Gigabyte with many pictures of the problem and all names of games that I experienced a total shutdown in my game. They only test it with a game that I never played before, so I can’t say if I would have an issue with it ( overwatch 2 ). They said my card doesn’t had any issue. They only propose me to swipe it to a same graphic card who’s a faulty graphic card who has been ‘repaired’. I paid the full price but they offered me only a repaired one. They send me back my graphic card, I changed my cpu, motherboard, ram and a new psu 1200 watts. All of my components are all last gen ddr5 and it still have random shutdown all the time in many games when I put back my 7900xtx. When I put my Asus 2070 super back in my case, it works perfectly !

This is a Tech Companys Website? Thats ironic...

Their website requires you to have an Email username. So I'm literally browsing around their site with that address. But when I need to return my broken laptop, they redundantly require you to input that Email address YOU ARE ALREADY USING as a username then tell you "THAT EMAIL ADDRESS DOESN'T EXIST."

How dare they involve themselves in tech.
