The picture turned out great...and true to me. Most of these don't and so I am very appreciative as I wanted a picture to put on my brochures. Would have liked a little less shadow...but at my age...82, this is as good as it gets. lol

Easy to use but needs to offer more options
Excellent website and have created two magnificent portraits. On the positive side, I like how edits can be made before buying and so I added a wedding ring, shortened sleeves, and so on. On the slight downside, it would be nice to be able to decide on the choice of background and pose first and then add the face, rather than just selecting a style of portrait and having the site come up with the clothes, colours and pose. Also, I tried to create a portrait of my late mother, and had three attempts with different photos, but none of the portraits actually looked like her and so I couldn't proceed with buying one. There were too many slight alterations to the eyes and mouth so that the portrait was in her style but just didn't look like her. I'm sure that this site will progress and improve as time goes by.

Your point about choosing the background and pose first, then adding the face, is really useful. It is exactly the kind of control we want to give people, and we are working on more flexible options that move in that direction.
I am also sorry the portrait of your late mother did not come out as you hoped. Capturing a true likeness, particularly around the eyes and mouth, is the thing we care about most, and it is the area we are working hardest to improve. I found the website user-friendly and was amazed by how quickly the photo was created. The wow factor is the best feature of the process. I uploaded a photo of myself and asked my wife to come review it. She viewed the image, and her reaction was priceless. That response confirmed my desire to purchase the image. I have a very large frame with multiple matboards. I plan to place an 11-by-14 photo in the frame.
