Really nice pleasant staff at Tenerife South and had time for a quick chat. Good price for an Airport, burger could have been a bit hotter, but overall a pleasant experience.
Terrible service at Manchester airport
Terrible service at Manchester airport. Takes ages for a server to come to you. Ordered a full brunch and coffee, with a side order of bread and butter. Coffee arrived dripping everywhere, there was a full length crack in the mug, so had to send it back. Brunch arrived but no cutlery. Took ages for someone just to bring a fork, no knife that I had to wait longer for. The brunch was then cold, and the side order was toast. As a regular airport user this will be the last time I will use them.

Fill her up before late flight
- Travelling late p.m. on a fairly quiet airport day, I chose Giraffe Gatwick South (well-lit and spacious) in preference to its less welcoming neighbour pre-security. I wanted a substantial meal as I would reach my destination close to midnight.
- I chose the larger Brunch breakfast, £16, double what I pay in the High Street but you expect to be ripped off in airports - captive customers and all that.
- Sorry to see so many negative reviews for this restaurant. My server was charming and welcoming (less so her two female colleagues). The meal arrived quickly, piping hot, quality constituents, attractively plated and delicious. I appreciate that the sauces are in bottles, not messy, eco-unfriendly sachets.
- Would I visit again? Yes, If I had time to use up, a pocketful of money to invest and an urge to try their more exotic fare.
Charged me 3 times and can’t contact to refund
Had problems with the card machine, it declined 2 transactions then accepted the third, in case it was taken from my bank 3 times I was given a number and name to call to resolve, however after the money being taken multiple times I’ve tried calling numerous times and someone answered then immediately hung up my call.
Only leaving this review to try to resolve the incorrect money being taken as there’s no way to contact them.
T1 Manchester airport. Should do better
Sat in a QR table which is fine but when it doesn't work help is non existent! Staff complain about being short staffed so can't help. After 25 mins of no help we walked out. Place is filthy also with rows of uncleared tables.
LHR Terminal 5
LHR Terminal 5 - excellent service - catching an early BA flight to Barcelona, we wanted to grab a quick breakfast before we boarded. Excellent, prompt service. An error was made, as we had requested toast but this was missed. To make up for this, the server Aida offered us pastries to take away, and this was fantastic customer service. We were travelling with two young boys, and we knew they would get hungry for the rest of the journey. I just wanted to highlight that even when you are in a rush and can get poor customer service, some servicing staff do go above and beyond and this should be recognised. Particularly on a Monday morning during the peak holiday season. The restaurant was full, with no tables available that I could see. Thank you.
Heathrow T3 - Lunchtime Robbery
Heathrow T3 - ordered lunch for our team of 5, although it was very busy we finally received our meal 15mins later. When paying the bill with my card, the e payment was pending, but the assistant said there was something wrong and called her supervisor who insisted that it hadn't gone through and to tap my card again. Despite me telling her that she would receive the payment she asked me to do it again. So not to miss my flight I tapped again and it went through, but I told her the money would come out twice and again she said it wouldn't. On my return home 4 days later my card was debited twice. I had to email them for nearly a week before I got my money back. Will never eat there again.

Terminal 2 site .
Portions were ridiculous, I was charged £12 for half a piece of bread with avocado spread !
My daughter’s meal was inedible , it was £17 .
They said they would refund to my card and it would be automatic as it was a web order via the QR code .
They told me to get to my gate (they made me late ) and it was sorted .
I never received the refund .
Absolute rip off and daughter was distraught as she was starving .
Please avoid eating at Giraffe at T2 , take a packed lunch for the plane and save yourself the hassle and cost .
Staff are busy obviously but that doesn’t mean you have to be rude .
Do NOT recommend.

Incredibly slow service. Had to wait to be seated despite the restaurant being half empty. The seating is too close together and felt cramped. The web based order seems good but there's not the option to omit things from your meal. I wasn't able to omit tomato from my burger.
We opted to order from a server but this took forever. We were on the verge of leaving when the food turned up. There were notices proudly promising a 10 minute for food. The drinks took longer than that. I asked for no tomato but my burger came with it. The food was average at best. Seasoned fries with no seasoning and poor choice of condiments.
I tried to pay online but that didn't work either.
Overall bad experience all round.
Girraffe T2
Girraffe T2, Manchester, meagre starter portions, mustard in the mayo, I hate mustard, fish and chips not the best, batter hard, fish wet and soggy inside and not quality fish, tarter sauce didn’t taste like tarter sauce to me, all in all a poor meal. Staff behind bar splitting flat pints into two glasses then serving them. The flat pint had been sat there 20 minutes. Place empty at half 1 on a Saturday, wonder why. Very poor. £33:50 for two plates of the worse fish and chips I’ve ever had. Won’t be visiting a Girraffe establishment ever again.
Very poor
Very poor - charged a premium for eating at the airport and sub- standard breakfast even if it was half the price
Just had a lovely meal at the Gatwick…
Just had a lovely meal at the Gatwick Airport Giraffe Restaurant.
Both the service and the dish were had were faultless and we will definitely be seeking out other Giraffe Restaurants on our further travels.
Definitely recommend the Crispy Duck stirfry with Noodles dish!
Our waitress was called Pavi, she was excellent🤗
I remembered a former visit as a good…
I remembered a former visit as a good one. Plenty of choice in the menu. Sadly, Boxing Day on the Southbank was a disappointment. The chips were cold. And like the hash browns, somehow barely resembling potato The fish was encased in a thick layer of soggy wet batter. The fish itself was dry, but hot.
The menu mentioned eggs with the vegetarian brunch. This should have been an uncomplicated choice. However the waiter brought me the vegan brunch which doesn’t include eggs. The coffee was good but, like the rest of the meal soon became cold in the draft from the entrance area. I’ve had much better luck in a simple transport cafe. I suppose Giraffe are not expecting busy families to care too much about quality. But it will be interesting to see how long they can get away with it at these prices. The trust in dining with this chain has gone. Too much careless failure on a plate. Noisy and grubby interior, a bus shelter with sticky tables. The staff were too busy to complain to. It was easier to just pay and leave.
Gratuity and Charity Donation Scam
Twice I have had a gratuity and charity donation added to my card payment without me knowing.
Terrible breakfast
Terrible breakfast.
Three of us had a breakfast costing £11 and three teas, the meal were awful, luke warm scrambled egg, over cooked thin bacon, mushrooms that looked like they had been drowned not cooked
The tea wouldn't brew because they brought a mug of water not hot enough
Total price £58 and then wanted a tip which they didn't get.
DISCUSSED.
BOGUS CHARGE
BOGUS CHARGE. Got my credit card charged on at Gatwick airport for something I didn’t have as I never stepped foot into the restaurant, just walked by it on the way to PretaManger. I urge anyone walking by this restaurant to protect your cards. Been battling to get a refund 3 months having provided all the evidence needed. God knows how much this place is racking up on bogus charges like mine as so many people in an airport would walk by the restaurant.
Giraffe restaurant Manchester Airport…
Giraffe restaurant Manchester Airport T1 breakfast. This 1-star (zero-star) review is not aimed at the staff, they were fine.
I ordered two breakfasts (£13:50 each). They were small portions and luke warm. My advice is have breakfast elsewhere!!
Disappointed
The only positive was that ordering via app worked well and the food came quickly. On the downside, the Eggs Royale - muffins stale, hardly any salmon and eggs almost hard boiled.
Absolute disgrace!
First time I’ve felt the need to walk out of a restaurant and instantly write a review. Me and my family are heading on holiday and had some breakfast at the Giraffe restaurant in Manchester T2. My son ordered the pancakes and strawberries and received 1 small strawberry cut into 4. This we only received after sending them back because he had zero strawberries to start with. I was then accused of swearing at the server which I fully deny doing! Never been so angry in a restaurant, to not only get served a pathetic amount of food at extortionate prices but to then have a restaurant manager come over and accuse me of swearing at the staff! I would fully recommending avoiding this place and was not surprised at all to see it already has a rating of 2.3!
Lovely food and very pleasant staff
Lovely food and very pleasant staff. Music could be a bit more calming and less noisy
