Odered 2 roof lanterns everything was…

Odered 2 roof lanterns everything was going smooth got my delivery date.
When my delivery arrived only the glass came. Contacted Glazing store and was told the frames would come the next day which they did, but when they came they were just dumped on front drive with all boxes open and damaged.
Once opened, the majority of frames were scratched. Contacted office and provided pictures and was told replacement frames would be sent out. I explained this would have a knock on affect on other contractors and some sort of compensation would suffice as property needed to be water tight. It has now been 2weeks and still no replacement frames have been sent.
Company have since ignored my emails and have given no updates.
very poor customer service will avoid at all costs there all about taking your money with no customer satisfaction.

Scratched glass - replacement not provided

Our korniche windows were delivered however sadly the glass was scratched. Photos were provided and a conversation started about replacement however the conversation then stopped and the company stopped responding.

Fab roof lantern at a great price.

We are extremely happy with our Korniche roof lantern which was supplied by The Glazing Store at a very reasonable price. I had compared prices with other companies and Glazing Store's was the best. Their emails with instructions were very detailed and clear and I knew exactly what to expect on delivery day. I was given a delivery date within a day or two of ordering and then the afternoon before delivery I was given a 4 hour time slot for the delivery. I then received a phone call from the driver advising me that he would be with us in an hour, which he was. The information in the email had explained that the driver was authorised to deliver to kerbside only so I was able to arrange for our contractor to be available to help in moving everything indoors. The phone contact I had with Emma at The Glazing Store was positive as she was helpful and answered my questions clearly. Our contractors found Korniche’s fitting instructions clear and easy to follow and they were also impressed with the quality and appearance of the roof lantern, as we are. We would definitely recommend The Glazing Store and Korniche roof lanterns to anyone.

2000 x 1250 Korniche Lantern

Glazingstore supplied this to my doorstep £1000 cheaper than the locally advertised 'Glossy Magazine' windows/door company (who also expected me to collect for that price).

All of my queries (email and telephone) were promptly resolved by Glazingstore, and the final product (fitted by a different company!) looks fantastic.

Very happy to recommend them.

Ordered a 2500 x 1500 lantern(…

Ordered a 2500 x 1500 lantern( korniche) online and glazing store promptly gave me a delivery schedule which was confirmed a few days later. Delivery driver was courteous and efficient. Product arrived well wrapped and although large only took a few hours to erect. Thoroughly pleased both with the product and the price. Will definitely use glazing store again for my glazing.

Brilliant

I was a bit apprehensive about buying patio doors on line , usually go to local window and door company , well I needn’t of worried I measured up with there help got delivery on time , got local builder to install , I helped him , all complete they look very modern easy to open and lock ,glide when you open them , they are brilliant really well made with a unique locking system. Real good I am very pleased I am quids in on local company I have used before. Will be using Glazing store again thank you

The glazing store had great…

The glazing store had great communication throughout, even with clients making changes. They worked efficiently to get my order processed before Christmas as not to delay the delivery date. I ordered 2x custom sized korniche roof lanterns and they arrived on time, packaged well with no issues what so ever and they were so easy to install. I would recommend the Glazing store

Fantastic customer care

My experience with the glazing store has been very good there were some issues with the company they got my lantern and bi-fold door's from (korniche) but Emma was more than helpful on every occasion and kept me in contact on both the phone and email arranging everything for the damaged parts. Emma and the team were more than helpful from start to finish and kept me well informed.

Superb Customer service from Emma and the team at Glazing Store

In today's world of non existent humans, online bots, being held in telephone queue positions on numbers older than I am It is an absolute pleasure to write an excellent review commending Emma Milsom ( a human and very valuable commodity) and the rest of her superb team at Glazing Store.

Due entirely to Emma's intuitive diligence, patience, reassurance and professionalism ,my initial enquiry, which could have easily evaporated into the ether, and onto the books of another supplier, resulted in a well deserved sales order which I hope is the first of more to come.

I can truly say, hand on heart, I have received the best customer care ever, to date and I would have no hesitation of employing Emma on my team any day.

Thank you so much Emma, for guiding me through to sign off so spectacularly and always going the extra mile, when i needed your guidance, and in particular, your endless patience. Sorry for all the needless questions along the way.

Unprofessional and dishonest company

Our experience with Glazing Store was extremely negative. After agreeing on a price of approximately £4500 (VAT included), we were shocked to discover the price had been SECRETLY increased to £5800 on the last day to place our order. The following day we called them and they explained this as their mistake regarding VAT with their partner. A price change of this magnitude should have been communicated immediately and transparently, rather than waiting for us to discover it. With no time remaining to find an alternative, we were forced to pay the inflated price.

Adding to our frustration, the sliding door (3.6m x 2.2m) arrived fully assembled, despite the fitter specifically instructing that it needed to be unassembled. Because of this, the door wouldn't fit through the entrance. I had to pay my builder £200 to remove my back garden fence for the door to be brought in.

Firstly with regards to the pricing, unfortunately on this occasion looking back through the correspondence it’s clear there had been a misunderstanding between us on the VAT as the difference you speak of is approximately 20% in difference. with regards to the price we do our very best to communicate clearly if a price is including or excluding VAT prior to ordering.
We apologised in case we were has caused any confusion for yourself and gave written confirmation of the final INC VAT prior to ordering.

We always aim to be as transparent as possible with all pricing but on this occasion a human error was made which you respected within your correspondence. As always, we did offer you the opportunity to seek out alternative suppliers and would never force anyone into a decision.

With regards to the door arriving unassembled in kit form, with any project (and to avoid disappointment) we always send a sign-off prior to going into production in order to ensure that no changes that have been requested in phone conversations with installers are missed.

With this in mind, we had a written sign-off of the received door as part of this process which is always followed to avoid mistakes.

We hope you are enjoying your new products and wish you well for the future.

Avoid- don't be dragged in by low price

This is a very long winded review but if you're thinking about ordering through this company, please please read it!!

I purchased a bifold door from this company in December last year. My joiner dealt with the company at the start. The first of many issues came when he called the company before ordering to double check they delivered to our area, he was given assurances that they did and the delivery was included in the price. When I went to pay through an online portal a £250+vat charge had been added for delivery. I decided to pay this as I was in a rush to get the door. The company then contacted my joiner to say they actually couldn't deliver to my area. After much discussion they agreed to organise delivery through another company closer to me. In the interest of fairness I will say that I appreciated that but I would guess they were so accommodating because it was there error.
We then had lots of issues with delivery dates and confirming dates. At one point they actually contacted my joiner to double check the sizes, even though they had led us to believe the door was ready to be sent. It was a good job they did, as he had to incorrect measurements they had. At this point I was asking for more definite dates and was given a date that was guaranteed. I realise now following further contact their answer to this is they never give guarantees and delivery times can be subject to change. This is completely untrue and they have 100% guaranteed dates on two occasions and I have email proof of that. These dates were missed and trying to get hold of anyone had become increasingly difficult. I was given every excuse you can imagine and also more promises of callbacks that never came. I was spending hours chasing the company up and this seemed to be the only way I could talk to someone.

By this time my joiner had taken the old window out as he was now on a very tight timescale and we were given such confident assurances about confirmed delivered dates that we thought this would be ok.
Still no delivery, on one occasion I was told by the company that the reason it didn't happen was because they forgot to pay the delivery company.

My joiner couldn't wait any longer so had to move on to another job. I explained this to the glazing store who told me they would look into compensating me financially for the inconvenience.

I then contacted the delivery company directly which required about 5 phone calls to find the right person. They then gave me a possible date but later pushed that back again. I decided then to arrange delivery myself. I had a courier pick the door up and this cost a further £300. Again in the interest of fairness, the glazing store have covered this cost and refunded the originally delivery charge they sneaked in.

During the last few weeks I have been recieving emails from the glazing store team advising me that they have escalated this case to one of their directors. They have told me on multiple occasions I would receive a call. They have now started saying they are trying to reach me but getting no answer. I have given them my number twice to make sure they have the right one.

The other day I received an incredibly arrogant and dismissive email from a director who told me he has now text me. Which again is not true. His email was so inaccurate it made me think his team have maybe told him a pile of rubbish to get themselves out of trouble or he is just a completely arrogant incompetent overconfident salesman type.

I realise this is a very long winded review but it is the first review I have ever done. I am not a fan of complaining and leaving negative feedback but on this occasion I feel it's important to notify potential customers of how this company operates. Yes they have very competitive prices, but don't make the mistake I did. Pay a little bit more and get a decent service. Steer well clear of the glazing store.

Think very carefully.

I regret having used this company. I ordered a bifold door on behalf of a customer.
My FIRST question - Do you deliver to our postcode, is the delivery included in the quote ?
Answer - YES

Customer then paid directly, a stealth delivery charge of £250 had been added, which they paid anyway just to get the door. Later I received an email saying that they don’t deliver to our area but they could drop it off 100 miles away and we could pick it up. It measured 3.6 metres x 2.1 metres.
It then turned out they hadn’t actually ordered it yet from the manufacturer as I was sent a drawing to confirm specifications, one measurement was actually wrong which I had amended earlier but they hadn’t passed this on.

I had to hand communication over to the customer at this point due to the stress of the situation. I did however receive an Amazon voucher for my troubles.
Customer was then met with all the builders merchant classics -
He’s on another call
He’s in a meeting
He’ll call you back
Family emergency
He’s nipped out for lunch
He’s on holiday
Who did you speak to ?
Theres been a death in the family…

Nobody called back by the end of each day as promised.
They agreed to sort out delivery to site after much communication. Several guaranteed dates were not met and I had to walk away from the job at this point due to other work commitments. I passed the job onto another contractor who was left standing waiting for a door not to appear on a GUARANTEED date.

The customer collected the door after making his own arrangements and to this day it sits on his driveway until it can be fitted.

He was promised a call from the Managing Director which never came until yesterday in the form of a sassy patronising email. Customer has forwarded it to me, MD seems upset they are out of pocket as they had to refund delivery costs !!

Anyway, as they say ‘‘avoid at all costs, I’d give them zero stars if I could’’

Get the feeling this outfit could actually be one man in his spare bedroom.

Also to note, the managing director has give his own company a fake 5 star review on trustpilot, Mr Russell Tarry.

Thank you for your review and our apologies for the disappointment you have received with your order with the Glazing Store. We have been trading bifold doors and roof lanterns for over 4 years to hundreds of happy customers across the UK and can assure you we take complaints and issues very seriously. With this is mind, I wanted to address some of the points raised in your review.

Firstly, I wanted to answer the question with regards to the delivery to Scotland. At the point when you ordered we were indeed of the understanding that we were able to ship to your area of Scotland and accepted your order with goodwill and of the knowledge that our supplier could get the order to you.

It is never our objective to mislead or misinform customers and as soon as we were made aware to the contrary that this service was no longer available then we did make you aware of this. At the point of ordering, our supplier also applied a delivery surcharge to the area within Scotland that your customer was in, a point that is clearly listed as the first item within our delivery policy and that is made clear in our correspondence at the point of ordering.

Whilst I appreciate that this is an additional cost, it isn’t a charge that we request as the third-party distributor and has been set by our supplier.

As we were no longer able to get the items shipped by the manufacturer, we then agreed that we would work within our network to try and source a distributor or hold and ship the goods to you. Although this did take slightly longer due to lack of contacts that we have within your area for which we have sincerely apologised, we did manage to find a supplier and agreed that we would pay for the delivery from the original £250 that you provided.

Although there have been delays as part of your order and alterations to the originally agreed delivery dates which we again sincerely apologise for, we have attempted to correct the issues at every part of the process and as a goodwill gesture agreed to pay the costs towards your personal courier picking up the order.

With regards to the after sales calls and follow up, on this occasion there has been delays in responding to your correspondence which we have considered and as a business will work on improving going forward.

However, this has been because of the necessity to discuss the ultimatums of bad reviews and professional threats against our business that your customer made if we did not issue them with a full refund. This is something that as a business we cannot accept.

We’re sorry about the resolution of your order and for the issues you have received and wish you well with your future projects.

I ordered a roof lantern and while it was being installed I was informed some of the glass was the wrong size I then had to pay to have a temporary roof covering I then had to pay the installers again to to return and finish . You have not been replying to my emails with reference to my additional costs that were not my fault

After investigating your situation and the communication between us via email, we had responded swiftly and organised to have the pane of glass back to you on a priority delivery basis. The costs incurred from your installers revisit is regrettable and we wish we could cover this for you however as stated in our many emails before the delivery was made we do advise that the lantern is not to be organised for install until you have thoroughly checked your delivery and ensured there are not missing or damaged parts. If this was the case it would have been replaced free of charge for you and once all parts were accounted for you would then be in a position to install it with out any delays to the tradesmen who you had appointed. This has been explained via email. If there’s anymore we can assist with please do let us know. We hope you are enjoying your new lantern despite the mix up with the glass (we are very sorry about this) it can happen from time to time but it is very rare.
