oh my gosh where do I even get STARTED these stupid STUPID people... they blocked EVERYTHING I have no entertainment at home and my Chromebook is the only thing I have... you guys don't even UNDERSTAND how ANGERED I am because they blocked my fav sites...

Ok so basically, this extension is spyware, covered up in a blanket as a helpful platform for teachers, to monitor their students activity. They claim to be "privacy-focused" however as soon as I logged into my school account on my Windows PC, it started booting up Goguardian and making it run in the background. The only way I could revert this was by wiping my browser. This is an absolute loser excuse for a monitoring website, and the CEO is an absolute foolish person, and they are deceiving schools into thinking this is a safe way to monitor students without any flaws.

i, as a sixth grader, am now afraid to even write my own stories on MY PHONE because im so parsnoid someone is logging every. single. word. straight up legal spyware. My teacher can see what im doing ALL THE TIME no matter WHAT. I could be at HOME ON BREAK and these beeches could have it on from fluffin China while were in america if they wanted.

GoGaurdian sucks. I got free time in a class and a part of that free time was computer games. but I cant go on my computer or enjoy my break because another teacher has GoGaurdian active causing certain safe websites that my current teacher allowed to be blocked. I currently am writing this on the exact break and I hope there can be a feature implemented to fix this.

GoGuardian I swear is like the walls of a prison. I have been trying to search things up and my teacher can literally look at my screen while being at the other side of the room. It's a real invasion of privacy and as a 6th grade student, I don't think it should be allowed in schools. I feel so scared whenever I do something, feeling watched and unsafe. This is probably one of the worst app/website ever. I feel bad for students that can only use their school computers because they don't have enough to get their own. They will feel watched every single second using their comupter.

THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL STUDENTS, TEACHERS AND ADMINS; Go Guardian steals students’ information. Not only that, but is a MASSIVE invasion of privacy. teachers are able to monitor students 24/7 even when they are at HOME. Some kids only have a school computer at home and spying on kids is a MASSIVE VIOLATION. And it gets worse. Go Guardian can see deleted search history and monitor students’ screen in real time. Was that not enough? It’s proven that go guardian doesn’t even protect students or keep them on task more than not having it at all. It has no use other than privacy invasion. Students deserve privacy, and teaching them that being watched is completely normal is terrible.

Hi! I'm in the sixth grade and I am TIRED of my teacher friggin SPAMMING goguardian and my math teacher, (pretty sure he new George washington as a child. YES HE IS THAT OLD) Keeps on BLOCKING MINCRAFT AND ALL THE FUN WEBSITES. First of all, my teacher chooses to use it all the time, and it once broke when my teacher tried assigning a quiz on Google Forms. He also makes it a habit to have the class view projected sometimes.
Once, I was doing research for some project, and a website seemed to have useful information from the short part you see on Google. However, the school blocked that website, and I had to rely on other websites.
I did find it funny that my school board chose to block the words 'proxy' and 'vpn', along with every vpn and proxy website I could find.
Thank goodness the high school I'm going to allows us to bring personal computers.

I’m convinced this thing is a Stein—a massive, unkillable beast that stalks my every move. I looked up "how to boil an egg" and my teacher messaged me within seconds asking if I was planning a heist. It’s "funny" how they call it a "learning tool" when it’s actually just a high-tech babysitter that treats me like a fugitive on America's Most Wanted. I can’t even sneeze without GoGuardian flagging it as "suspicious head movement." If I wanted this much surveillance, I’d move into a high-security prison—at least the food there might be better than this app's UI.

This website is the worst. I know it’s supposed to “protect the youth” or something, but from what exactly. I’ve heard from several people that things like PornHub aren’t blocked if you go to a more obscure url, but god forbid you want to play chess or Tetris on your chrome book. In fact, this program has even blocked things that I need for my classwork. It also makes schools act more as miniature police states, where students will have to be monitored 24/7 by administrators. The program is also integrating AI, which, for many students I know, is a moral issue. It would be like having everyone required to eat pork, but half of the students are Muslim or Jewish. There are much better alternatives to using goguardian anyways.
