I love having the meats delivered and they are truly delicious! I will probably supplement at Winn Dixie now and then when they have a sale as I always have, but no more trips to the butcher shop.

So far, we have received our first box, and the quality of the meet is exceptional. The difference between Good Chop meat and what you can get from the store is night and day. Reminds me of the fresh meat we used to get from my dad's butcher shop when I was a kid. My only criticism if I had to give one, would be the cuts of steaks could be a little thicker.

I have been ordering good-chop for 2 yrs now. Great quality love the way I can pick and choose cuts every month. Customer service always picks up my call with a live representative, if the box is late and meat may be compromised on temperature they send a replacement box the same week at no charge. I have no complaints and will continue to use this service. Much better than Omaha Steaks or Butcher Box.

WITH ALL THE HYPE OF FACEBOOK I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN. I WOUND NOT REORDER. IT IS COMPARABLE TO TO THE SUPERMARKET IN PRICE. I WILL BUY FROM MY LOCAL BUTCHER SHOP.

my daughter ordered two packages of frozen meat to be delivered to me because she was concerned about my protein intake. I received the meat. It was all frozen Solid and delivered correctly.
The problem is their quality is bottom of the barrel from the ground beef to their ranch cut steaks to their chicken breast and chicken thighs. I shouldn’t forget the sausages that we’re not even edible. This was a gift to me from my daughter, so I was really looked at to tell her about it, but after the second box arrived, I said no more, it’s absolutely the worst meat that I’ve ever eaten.
this is the note that they do not have any any reviews on their website or places to read a comment or two they have one from supposedly a chef Butcher that said it was the best meet. I like to see them follow up on that and produce, who that was, it was probably a staff member in their sales department.
do not waste your money with good chops they’re awful and when my daughter called them and complain, they just blew her off.

The ribeyes are amazing! I've been getting Butcher Box for years, but their ribeyes are kinda blah. These are well marbled and tender. Definitely added more to my next box!

So far it’s been good. I wish the portions were bigger but I do appreciate that it’s all locally picked meats. I also enjoy the home delivery concept and the discounted pricing has been Great. I left butcher box for Good Chop

So I was on the fence about the whole idea, I used to have a butcher shop I’d get my meat from. I pulled the trigger and was impressed by the speed and quality of the products I ordered, definitely worth the purchase

I hadn't been acquainted with Good Chop before so I find out a little each day by eating your products. I have enjoyed each one and so far I have my favorite cut but I have a long way to go before I have tried them all. It is nice to have a personal butcher service. My meat choices have been a nice variety of nice professional cuts and good taste. My only "bad" has been one of my choices (desserts) had to be set aside since each one had soy in them and like many folks I am allergic to soy. I wish I knew beforehand as I made my first set of choices so I could have picked something else. Overall, the experience has been a very good one.

Some of the meat is really dark in color and off-putting. Some is bright red and looks very fresh. In my opinion, this is a problem with delivery services... This is our second delivery service that we've tried. The first one. We had a problem every other shipment or more. This company good chop review is about the 1st, 2nd (free replacement box) and probably last delivery that we received from them. 1st box was missing 4 steaks as well as really dark colored on 12 of the steaks. Good chop replaced our whole shipment and we didn't even request that.!! So they did a great job in that regard.!! Unfortunately some of the new meet is also very dark in color and I'm convinced they just put it in the box and ship it. It looks like they don't look at the product to inspect it before they ship... It's a good deal, but a big hassle. And I'm thinking the local butcher shop is more expensive.., But way less hassle and ultimately the better way. Again, it feels like it's just a quality control issue. They'll ship you whatever and just be happy to replace and/or they need to get rid of the old meat...

Wow. I can’t believe I got sucked in to Butcher Box with their free for life offer; all the while missing out on such a better company! Good Chop has been exponentially better than what we’ve been settling for. We’re converted now!

We took a chance on our first box as a trial, just to see what we might expect. To say we were pleasantly surprised would be a huge understatement!
From the moment we unboxed the well-packed and very well frozen. Each protein was vac sealed in its own packaging and neatly labled. It all looked so fresh and clean.
From the very first chicken breast, to the Italian sausage, to the amazing pork chops and steaks, everything tasted terrific. It was as good or even better than we were getting from our local butcher and/or farm store.
This caused us to order a second box with different proteins (repeating chicken and sausages). Everything we added was high quality and we are looking forward to box #3 coming soon!

The meat comes well preserved and still frozen.
I had already left a review about the size of chicken breasts. Not worth it. I have to eat two breasts in one sitting because they're tiny.
I have found local butcher shop with grass fed beef and all natural chicken for a fraction of the cost. I will be cancelling my subscription after my last box shows up.

I recently ordered good chop here's my opinion. I understand marketing they make products appealing to get people to buy. I was tired of the poor choices at all supermarkets so I tried this. Now for me first impressions are everything, I ordered ribeye, pork tenderloin, filet mignon, Italian sausage and scallops. Everything was packaged properly and arrived still frozen. Now the bad I prepared the ribeye for cooking first thing is they were very thin cut. The marketing makes them look like 2inch thick which in reality more like half inch. Made them hard to cook and keep them juicy wasn't blown away nor impressed. The fillet mignon were better but still on the small side they held up well in cast iron skillet and were tender. Truthfully I have had better from restaurants and butcher. Now the pork loin again very small but a nice cut. Cooked perfectly and was very good but only enough for two people. The Italian sausage package only had 4 sausage in it. I didn't think they had much flavor and were packed loose in the casing. The scallops I haven't tried yet but they do look good nice large size. Overall I paid $144.00 for the order and didn't see much value for what I received so I cancelled my subscription and future orders. I'll be going back to a quality butcher shop.

It's wonderful that you get stuff you can feel good about eating. But I'll be honest the rib eyes are a little thin. I had butcher box before this and wanted to try this cuz they're less expensive and I have to admit I think butcher box has a little better quality of meat. And the steaks are definitely thicker and other stuff is more flavorful.

I received my first order of Good Chops one month ago. My order was totally wrong, I received all pork. and I ordered no pork. I called the customer service to complain about my order. They said they would credit my account so that I would not pay for the next order.
Unfortunately my credit card was charged again for the following month. When I called customer service they told me the credit would not take effect until my 4th order because I got a discounted price. This was not acceptable. I have cancelled my subscription to Good Chops. ( When you mess up you need to make things right immediately, The right order needs to be sent out when an error has occurred ) 4 more months of payments not knowing if I will receive the correct order is not ok!!!! NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH BUTCHER BOX !!

Good chop is an extremely convenient and affordable service. Their meat and seafood is some of the best I’ve ever had, and being able to chose specific cuts and portions is wonderful! Delivery/shipment updates are given in a very punctual manner, and lastly, the food is packaged so nicely. Instead of going to my butcher and doing all the vacuum sealing of usually more than 30 lbs of meat, I just put it right in my freezer! I have and will continue to recommend Good Chop to my friends and family.

As a former steakhouse cook and butcher, I find the quality of the meat to be excellent, at a very good price. Much better than many other online ordering services and the beef is aged to perfection compared to supermarkets or the local butcher.

Overall, the quality is very high. I like how well the really good cuts of meats are very well sealed. I came to good chop from Butcher Box because the quality of the cuts deteriorated over a few months.

I know things are very pricey for all of us at the moment. In my opinion what I am receiving for the cost paid is fair.

I am a butcher have been for 25 years and i will say that the meat is top quality! great cuts, not hacked up, no over or under trimmed, even cuts no door stops, no end cuts (strips and porterhouse), cant even tell that its been frozen when eaten! overall great product! Choices of cuts are amazing! Portions are perfect!
