Stay away from ROTTEN MEAT!!

I ordered my first box spent about $230+. Box arrived fine with ice so all meat was frozen as expected. When it came time to try the new freshly arrived meat 90% of the meat was rotten and stinked literally like a dead animal very disgusting. About 20 Grass-fed pieces mostly New York steaks, Ribeyes and filet mignon were all ROTTEN. Very disappointed and mad at myself for trusting this company. Called customer service explained the situation took photos and all that to show proof after going back and forth them saying it was normal for the meat to stink and be sticky they agreed to refund the money for the rotten meat which was about $200 but they only credit me half of it and after 20 days I'm still waiting for the rest of the refund. No call, no apologies and no money. Not only did I loose $100 on this purchase because I threw away all the rotten disgusting meat but I put myself in risk by eating a couple of pieces of what I thought was"good meat" before I discovered the entire order was rotten. The department of Health should shout them down. They're dishonest, cheat people and dont care about people's health or money. Do not buy from them. I'm buying from a local butcher.

I recently wrote a review highlighting the disappointing toughness of ALL the beef on my first order, including the rubbery chicken.
Good Chops response stated how sorry they were and that someone would be in touch for more information. Crickets, nothing..a load of bs.
Find a loca butcher, can't be any worse.

From a skeptic's POV... Give a shot!

I haven't had a good experience with food/meal delivery companies since my family ordered from Schwann's back in the 90s, so I was very skeptical about this one.
I'm only on my second order and I have to say, it seems to be worth it. I am spending a little more than I'd like to, but that's because the lava cakes and marscapone cheesecakes didn't last a week after my first delivery.
The quality of the meat is pretty decent. I'd say better than what you'll get at the grocery store, but not as good as getting it straight from the butcher, but that's just my opinion on the few choices I picked last month. I got more of a variety this time, but I'm sure my opinion will be more or less the same since nothing really beats getting fresh meat from the butcher.

I ordered good chop and had about four…

I ordered good chop and had about four months deliveries. The meat was subpar. Cuts were too thin. Silver skin was left on most of the cuts that I had to take off silver skin. Porterhouse was actually T-Bone and underwhelming. Lamb loin chips were ok. Don’t waste your money. This place is net worth a dime. Go to your butcher and get the beat. Cut how you want it.

I got a subscription for my kids , no customer service. HIre someone else.

I bought a subscription for my kids. On 1/30 Fedex gave this to the wrong person. I was unable to track as I was not the shipper. I got constant confirmation that they will make it right. FedEx driver probably took it. The point is that I was sending my kids food they needed. Now a week later they charged me for the next shipment and they never got a replacement box. No credit, no one that can make it right. I finally had to reverse it to my credit card company. Do not buy from these folks. There is no customer service. *** update they emailed and said we refunded your money and cancelled your account. Can you update the review? So here is my update I ordered through Butcher Box. The new box is on it's way. I just now heard from GoodChop and they did everything I did last week and .... still no one has called me to make this better. Don't bother. I am not sure any other company is better with home service delivery, but this was pretty bad.

Better steaks, more variety of products

For the last year, since our local butcher shop retired and closed his shop, we've been looking for a new place to buy quality meat products. We tried another 'well-known' online meat supplier, but we were not happy with the size of the steaks. Quality was good but paying top dollar for steaks the size of a hamburger. With Good Chop, was impressed with both the size and quality of the steaks and also the better variety of meat products offered.

Good Chop arrived as scheduled

Good Chop arrived as scheduled. My neighbor gets the competitors meat (Butcher box). We cooked up some of each and did a side by side taste comparison. Both were delicious but Good Chop was better. Our Good Chop meat had slightly more marbling in the meat making it more favoriful. Not sure what the price difference is between the two.

The hamburg was juicy even after…

This was my 1st time ordering. The beef roast I made in the crockpot...absolutely so tender & delicious. The hamburg was juicy even after cooking. The bacon was meaty & delicious and tasted great.I haven't tried the special butcher cut steak, but can't wait.
