Great selection, delicious meat, comes packaged well and still frozen. We buy all our beef and pork local from farmers we know and trust, but this allows me to get cuts I don’t get in my butcher orders, and allows me to get seafood and chicken, etc. so happy with this service. Highly recommend.

About a week ago, we had your Beef Ranch Steaks and they were terrible! Not only were they tough but had NO flavor. We've not had a bad steak from you until then. then just yesterday, May 28th, it happened again. I had a grilled filet that was full of fat and a filet shouldn't have any. They are from the prat of the staek that has no fat that's why you wrap them in bacon to grill better. You pay more for this cut since it's prime but this filet wasn't! I'm from Chicago and know what good meat is. If this is what I'm going to get from you, then I'll quit and go back to my local butcher!!!

I love and enjoyed good chop, and have been recommending to friends. I hope they like it, too. I
wish they also do grass-finished organ meats, but I can also go to my local butcher in Oakland for this.

TERRIBLE! The ground meat was like pate, the scallops had to be thrown out they smelled SOOOO bad and the "bonless, skinless" chicken thighs were not skinless at all! I cancelled immediately and returned to Butcher Box!

the premium cut meats are of great quality and nice cuts, but you need to pay extra for them, which makes them over priced, because the others are not worth your money specially 150 per box I could get all premium cuts from my laical butcher store for better prices, never the less the meats arrive frozen with dry ice, and are packaged nicely which seems to be the reason they charge so much!
if they were 100$ a box or 120$ for premium I could live with that... but for 150$ for standard cuts and 170$ for premium cuts, not to mention the 10$ shipping it become way too over priced for what you get.

Very good, tasty, well-marbled (beef) meat cuts. However, although there are deals and there are very much not-deals in the selection process and it winds up super-premium pricing. My local butcher shops can offer better pricing for Prime meats at the Good Chop full price.

Additionally, the packaging of individual steaks, etc. is not so good for freezing. By the time it thaws the sealed package seeps meat juices. In a couple of cases there have been outright tears in the packaging, which just creates extra hassle and refrigerator cleanup. [EDIT: Good Chop did contact me as noted below, and after a discussion I have full faith that their packaging issues will be addressed and solved going forward.]

I was with Butcher Box. Found bone chips in my ground beef. Gave Good Chop a try, and haven't looked back. I like how you can schedule your deliveries also.

Every bit the quality you'd expect when purchasing a box like this. For a Butcher Box devotee like me, I had apprehension about trying another, but Good Chop is excellent in every compartment. I'm now a Good Chop devotee too! Thanks Good Chop for delivering on your promises.

The shipping took a bit too long. The cuts were small and thin. Four of the steaks were rotten when we opened them. The price seems comparable to butcher box but not same quality.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My fiance forgot to postpone our latest box. They send ZERO notice that a box has been processed, (other services send a text), and give ZERO notice before, so you can make changes or postpone if you need to. When she tried to cancel it, they pretty much said "tough luck, you should have checked your spam folder". Sometimes people are busy and don't have time to "check their spam folder" daily. Spam is right. This company is literally spam.
NO offer to refund and not send. NO offer to do anything besides send their box and charge us. We have canceled our subscription and deleted our profile. No more "tough luck, that's your problem" from these amateurs.
You are SO MUCH better off using Butcher Box, (excellent customer service).
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO GOOD CHOP. They are NOT "good".
