Great guys really helped

They ended up being part of the circus they were supposed to help me fight. I given them the documents requested so many times for them to call and tell me again, after months have passed, that I need to send it to them. In the meantime, my case was passed to another person (twice I think), and they don't bother passing on the information they've got on you.Today I received the closure letter stating: "Not providing instructions".
Identity and privacy are not safe with them in my opinion.

Still waiting for repairs to be done

Absolutely amazing from start to finish got in touch with together housing all my repairs was done pretty fast. Even though housing had me waiting over 2 years go them done growing law got in touch with them

Efficiency in communicating and client care.

Gowing Law are meticulously true to their word and true helping hand to the vulnerable ones.
I didn't believe them at first, but I was very surprised how they carried out their words to perfect completion.
I would advise anyone having problems with their landlord to go to Gowing law for help. My house is now a pleasure to live in without paying a penny.
The landlord rectified everything which required needed repair.

I'm surprised it's only small stars

Not happy....Felt mislead....My Learning difficulties & Menta Health taken advantage of....Ended up with a pittance while they earned three times as much....only half of my work was completed....I'm still left with issues Gowing Law are not interested in getting Birmingham City Council to finish....They settled without my permission....Would not recommend....I feel scammed....

Based on my experience with them today, I would advise to avoid this firm. A 'charity' (Aid4Ummah) knocked my door yesterday (26th Nov 24) advising they were talking to social housing residents about tackling landlords who aren't carrying out repairs (Housing Disrepair). This affects me hugely, so after a discussion with them I agreed to allow them to assist me. At no point did they mention No Win No Fee - they informed me they had their own legal team and surveyors and they would arrange everything - no mention of this Gowing Solicitors until they handed me their flyer on their way out, at which point I challenged the mention of compensation on the flyer, asking them to assure me this 'assistance' was about getting repairs done and not about earning commission from compo - still no mention of No Win No Fee and they'd already taken all my details anyway! I received an e-mail a few hours later from this solicitors with various documents attached that I had not seen but were signed with my copy of my signature taken from something I signed for the 'charity' - I would not have agreed to a No Win No Fee Agreement! Anyway, I replied to the e-mail straight away instructing Goring to cancel everything, advising them my signature had been used without my consent for something I was unaware I was signing for! I just received a call from them, and the guy advised me he would close it down and I would receive confirmation in the post within 1-2 weeks - well the 'cooling off period' is 14 days so rightly so, I challenged the risk of not receiving this letter and risking having no proof that the case has been closed down within the cooling off period! The guy replied "Like I just said..." and just repeated what he'd already said, that a letter will be posted! The guy had already confirmed he'd seen my e-mail reply describing how they had fraudulently created signed agreements with my copied signature - no apology, no empathy, no suggestion it was being looked into, just attitude when I confirmed I definitely did not want to continue with the case that was illegally opened in my name! It definitely felt like the guy wasn't at all fazed by this, almost as though they deal with such issues a lot, which should ring alarm bells for everyone.
As for me, lesson well and truly learnt!

Avoid at all costs. Absolute Scam. Have done nothing but hassle me with calls and emails asking for information I’ve already provided multiple times. Told me I won’t be bothered again and got 2 emails and 2 calls less than 24hrs after that promise. I was told on day one I don’t have to be involved or do anything further, complete lie
Useless, unreliable. Unprofessional

They only done 2 out of 3 jobs ,when I showed them the jobsheet that u had sent me they simply replied it is not on our jobsheet & we will hv to ask our boss . They broke my butter dish which was in plain sight on the cooker with no offer to replace . Please send other ppl to complete the job ASAP . Ty

Very good company, very helpful and do everything for you which takes the stress off. They make sure all the work is completed. Couldn't of wished for a better service.
So greatful for all the help.

I don’t see anything they have done for us apart from wasting our time. My house is the same the council have done nothing , we are still suffering. I won’t recommend them

There hasn't been any repairs carried on. On Friday someone came to fix the door, they spent 5 minutes on working, but didn't repair the door. They sent me a remainder for appointment today, but nobody showed up. I cancel my shift at work waiting for someone to come, but nobody did. When my daughter called and asked them, they said there was no appointments booked for today and they couldn't explain why the message was sent

I`m so glad i chose the company to handle my repairs, which are now being done. This company have been professional and keep the clients up to date. I would recommend this company.

They did exactly what they promised which is great. My payout wasn’t as comparative to the years of stress as I would have liked but the fact they won is what we should focus on. Would have rather a digital transfer instead of a cheque but that’s just a minor niggle.
