The after sales service has been a great experience. The problem that I experienced with the app has been resolved and everything is running as expected.

I found Green Energy great. I believe that the people causing the problems now are Alvarez & Marsal Europe LLP (Jonny Marston, Mark Firmin and Paul Berkovi) who were appointed as Joint Administators t... See more

Absolute shambles

Absolute shambles. Despite sending in pictures of meter readings when asked ( I think 3 in the month before they went bust including a final one) I have received a highly over estimated final bill through a no reply email. Shell tell me this has happened to hundreds of customers but ultimately Shell are only interested in the new account with them being set up correctly moving forward. Obviously no one left at Green, the mediators cannot help and Ombudsman Services can’t deal with the complaint as Green have stopped trading. My reminder I received today to say I haven’t paid money that I don’t owe says failure to pay will mean I get contacted by Greens administrators an outfit called Alvarez and Marsal or a collection agency. I cannot believe hundreds of incorrect final bills have been sent out and there is no procedure in place to rectify the issue and ultimately pay the correct amount. Pathetic.

Is this not illegal

Is this not illegal? I swapped energy companies in September and green have randomly demanded £300 in December. Despite me not being with them, paying all outstanding money already and them going bust. Truly awful and criminal.

Utterly rubbish

Utterly rubbish, NO one ever responds. I am in credit £657.00 because they would not listen or respond to my emails that they were charging far more than they should of been.

Look after My Bills You guys are as bad as you put me into contract with this company and equally don't respond to your emails.

Would never use either of them again if they ever start up again.

THE GREEN RIP OFF

Worst experience involving an energy supplier thought it was too good to be true regarding the very cheap prices which only lasted 6 month's when Green went bust now another parting shot fiddled me out of a month's credit because I notified my bank and contested the payments from the direct debit taken out of my bank account the bank refunded me £300 but still I was in credit now they have sent me a final bill which means that I was and am still in credit which will be transferred over to my present supplier minus a payment which they have failed to include biggest scamsters going good job they went bust I'd have accumulated ££££s in credit but not seen a penny if they carried on trading

I don't recommend based on my personal experience

I would give it zero. I was going to switch. None of my emails were answered then I saw the reviews.attempted take first payment in the cooling off period before switch day - alarm bells started tinging. You have 14 days cooling off period. I would advise people not to switch. At 930pm it took half hour to get through. . I was lucky to get out quickly. Just heard it's gone bust im not surprised

I'm surprised by some of the negative…

I'm surprised by some of the negative comments by fellow customers of Green.

I joined Green from Bulb in January 2020 and have had a postive experience. My Bills were based on my meter readings which I supplied monthly. On some occasions Green based the bills on an estimated reading which was to cover a day or so between when I supplied my reading and a cut off date for the bill preparation, this didn't cause a problem because it corrects itself the following month.

The DD payments set by Green were in line with my own calculations of the cost of energy over the next 12 months divided by 12 to arrive at a monthly payment.

When it was reported that Green were ceasing business I immediately cancelled my DD to them and waited for the takeover supplier Shell to request I set up a new DD with them (which I did earlier today).

I didn't build up a large credit with Green due to the way I managed my account and owe them just £2 which I'm happy to pay when advised by Green's administrator.

I'm surprised by some reviewers who say that they have built up a credit of £1000 with Green.

The transition to Shell is going smoothly, they provided information today to enable my account to be set up and also my suggested monthly DD to them.

It's no wonder this company went bust.

It's no wonder this company went bust.
The most usless aftersales customer service I have ever had the misfortune to try and communicate with.
I have been moved to another energy company (without agreement) and have no means of communication with that company.
GREEN have completely washed their hands of ANY responsibility.

I am very dissatisfied with your service. For several weeks I have not received an answer to my email and there is also silence in the chat. My current contract has ended and I don't know what's next. Also, the electricity meter has not yet been replaced. The day when I had an appointment with you engineer I took a day off, but the appointment was canceled. This is the first time I come across such a supplier who does not fulfill its obligations and recalculates electricity for a broken meter. What next????

Green ceased trading on the 27th September 2021. I asked them my credit to be refunded, their answer was they couldn't refunded my credit because they ceased trading and my credit was protected and carried on to the new supplier. On the 20th October 2021 Green took my direct debit. To give my money back they couldn't because they ceased trading but to take my money from my account they could. SHAMEFUL Company.

The most incompetent Electricity…

The most incompetent Electricity supposed supplier in the world. Three times I have asked for help from your company and have been totally ignored. Never even had an acknowledgement. Ignorant people! This past couple of weeks I have been asked 4, yes, FOUR times for my meter reading for September. I have sent it three times. So now sod off and try to run your business.

Disappointed

Disappointed. Taking on new customers when it must have been plainly obvious that there was little chance of a viable future.

Very sad that Green is bankrupt

Very sad that Green is bankrupt. A company with integrity offering customers a good deal. Had it been an investment bank, it would probably have been bailed out. The government have shown that they do not understand either the free market or how to regulate an industry. I wish all the former employees the very best of luck for their futures.

For those reviewers moaning that they are in credit: you'll get your money back: check ofgen.
