I've had my GMG Ledge grill for a few years and just got the newer smaller version the Trek prime. Both are just amazing to use. No issues, they work as intended and the food that comes off is always... See more

GMG grills are for people who actually cook and don't need a deck ornament. I've cooked with a couple other brands and I can see why other grill companies copy GMG innovations. I LOVE my GMG.

For the money I spent it stopped…

For the money I spent it stopped working within a few months (Jim Bowie model). Had replacement parts and still bad. Tried it again and I have to dig all pellets out even though it’s covered with a Green mountain cover. So disappointing when you went to use your grill and it never works. If I had more time I’d file with the better business bureau. Do not buy!!! Better off with Traeger or pit boss.

On going issues poor customer service

I’ve had the Daniel Boone a couple years, and I have spent so many hours of my life on the phone with them, mostly it’s for the App not connecting they’ve replaced the board a couple times and then say it must be my Wi-Fi,
But it works fine for my TV’s garage door openers (X4) my sprinkler system, door bell and security cameras. I’ve been so frustrated I don’t even use it anymore, I’m looking at just getting a Trager and starting over.
DO NOT PURCHASE A GREEN MOUNTAIN BRAND!!!!

Can't even begin to describe the issues…

Can't even begin to describe the issues I encountered with green mountain grills. I could write a novel over the issues that occurred with their grills. Save your money and don't buy them. Customer service sucks. I have 75ish emails exchanged with this company over a 1 year span trying to get my grill fixed and it was push back all the time. Little to no help or support. They pretend to care but never actually help with the issues. Never again will I buy any of their products. The grill made a constant grinding noise. The auger clogged up many many times. Fan motor was replaced a few times. Couldn't hold temperature worth a crap. I would have more faith in a match stick holding a constant temperature than the green mountain grill I had. Needless to say I yarded the grill off my deck with my tractor and put it in the junk pile where it belongs. After all the heartache and issues that occurred over the time I had this grill I foolishly asked if green mountain grill would give me a discount on a new grill (yes, I should have asked for a new one with all the issues I had but at least asked for a discount) and the reply I got was'no'.... thanks green mountain. You'll never, ever have to worry about me ever buying a green mountain product again. I was disgusted over the product and wish I didn't waste the $500 on it. Model was a Jim Bowie Green Mountain Grill. Stay away from them. I have since bought a weber and have been happy and stress free since.

Bottom line: Green Mountain Grills WILL NOT stand behind their product.

Likely other issues here. Would love to assist. Like wet pellets or air leaking somewhere.

The 1st day that I brought my girl home…

The 1st day that I brought my grill home. The low pellet siren sounded I had to remove it. After that my circuit board kept going on and off. But I dealt with the problem. Finally after 3 years the circuit board doesn't turn on anymore. If you make a product that is defective you should have it replaced it. The product is obviously defective I have had 2 friends of mine have to replace the circuit board. Both of them got rid of their units and have trigger

The worst grill i have ever owned, my name is Jay Glotzer, ihave owned about 15 grills in my 60 yrs.I have never written a review in my life, i run a car dealership and im reviewed everyday, this is by far the worst grill i have ever owned, i have the top of the line Jimmy Bowie grill i have owned it for about 1 yr ,i never know when it is going to work, i have talked to GmG about 15 times the manager has never called me back, i have had the igniter changed 3 times ,the pellets always seem to get stuck, the worst of it all is i hade 15 people over for a barbecue and the temperature wouldn't go over 65, my wife was screaming at me that i should have bought a weber propane, i ran out and bought a 150 dollar weber charcol grill that worked great, 4 days ago zack from GMG told me a supervisor would call me ,no responce my 1000 grill sucks, i want my money back so i can go buy a weber propane grill.if anyone wants to call me 847 331 9823.

Nothing but poor experience with my GMG…

Nothing but poor experience with my GMG Daniel Boone I bought in 2019. The grill and app are both garbage. The grill has massive build flaws, it leaks smoke like you wouldn’t believe and can’t maintain a correct or even temperature to save its life. I have NEVER had a successful cook on this grill. I have wasted hundreds and hundreds of dollar of briskets that this grill ruins. The app is even worse than the grill if you can believe that. The customer service is even worse. Go with a different brand.

Buyer Beware

Buyer Beware! I have owned Green Mountain Grills for almost 5 years. I originally bought the smallest model smoker. It worked well, in fact it was great so good that I wanted to upgrade and thought I had found a brand both made in USA and was dependable. NOPE, I was about to be let down big time
I purchased the Largest model, Bowie I believe it's called. Retails around $900, +tax, +cover - was happy to do it. That was almost 1 year ago.
First one arrived completely smashed in the box. Ok maybe it was the shipping company. 5 weeks later replacement arrives and immediately the issues began out of the box. The Auger and Ignitor will not run at the same time. No matter what part they want to send me - that's right, they want me to do all the repair work on a warranty covered grill that I got from a local dealer. The local dealer has been out to my house to cover and repair the work two times already, in addition to the work I have already done on this brand new $1000 rock.
Now they want me to replace the auger again. They will not answer the dealers calls and barely interact with them on this very facebook page. I'm sure they will take this post down real quick so I'll screen shot and send on other grilling boards to make sure that no one else gets the same customer service I am getting.
Basically I'm getting ready to go buy a real smoker from another company, but I can not even get Green Mountain Grill to come pick up the garbage they sold me.
NO ONE SPEND ANY MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY, THEY HAVE ENOUGH BECAUSE THEY DON'T NEED TO ANSWER THEIR PHONES ANYMORE AND DON'T STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS.
Try calling their number here it is 800-603-3398- see what happens.
Their marketing department is still working to sell you stuff, but their customer support is not around....
This is where they blame the pandemic on high volume, I don't feel bad. I never complained about how long it's taking. I'm complaining your wasting my and I'm sure other customers times by doing the same repairs over and over again. That is not pandemic related, that's poor training and customer service culture.
If you care please refund my money and get the lemon picked up

Works great when it works...

I hate having to come here to post something negative, but I haven't been able to get traction on the multiple issues I had with my Daniel Boone Prime Grill.

Purchased a year ago, worked well through last summer, then it would fail to start after every 2-3 cooks. Wifi wouldn't work either. Cleaned it out, followed all the troubleshooting guides for starting and stopping the grill (the manual has different instructions than the web, just FYI). No meaningful change, so this past month I've spent time emailing customer support (we're up to 6 emails without a solution at this point). Tried calling but got voicemail. It's so strange emailing a company these days where you don't get "Hi, how can I help you, sorry there's an issue, etc." but instead an email with no name, no email signature, no ticket number, and zero empathy. In our third or fourth exchange, I did see a name on there, but the whole experience really shows they can't be bothered.

If the company is reading this, please decide if you want to be a premium brand (you've priced your PRIME grills as if you are) and then provide the quality and support people expect. Or maybe lower your prices to compete with the PitBoss on value then those of us who care about ongoing support and quality can make an informed decision.

Daniel Bonne Choice Smoker

Recently purchased a Daniel Bonne choice and love the performance. I have worked with serval other brands of pellet smokers and can attest to the units easy setup and consistent performance. I really enjoy the high heat feature, at 500 degrees it was easy to sear my lamb feta burgers without having to use a traditional grill.

Make sure that you follow the cleaning procedures, they are spot on and paramount to proper safe performance.

Happy smoking!!!

Their customer support SUCKS

Their customer support SUCKS! Multiple calls to them go straight to their voicemail and after leaving call back info numerous times, I’m STILL waiting for a call back on my inop Jim Bowie grill. I regret buying GMG

Paint flakes, wifi doesn’t work & no support

- Major paint flaking issues for which GMG takes no responsibility (they’ll send you a tin of paint to fix it yourself!)
- Wifi never worked properly
- Poor customer support; they reply but the little advise they give is useless.

I’ve contacted them several times to try and get the wifi issue solved.
I wish I bought a Traeger Grill!

Grill legs had bad welds and rusted, hopper leaks

Grill legs had bad welds and rusted. Company replaced 1.

Left the grill out in the rain and water got into the pellet hopper. I contacted the company and was told the grills are not waterproof. I'm shocked that they would build a grill that cant withstain the elements. I'm not sure I know of anyone that brings their grill indoors.
