Biggest ripoff ever
I Purchased insurance through them when I bought my couch through Havertys. I was told to get the pet insurance because I have pets. I have some scratches on the arm of the chair and they will not replace it or fix it. They said it is too extensive. It’s pet damage. There’s no holes just scratches. This is the biggest scam you’ll ever waste your money on. They should be shut out of business. They will not replace anything. They have an excuse of why they won’t replace anything. They just take your money and they never ever help out every furniture company should stop selling this for them
Ripped off with purchasing your warranty
If I could give them a negative I would. I made a request to have my chair repaired thru the warranty I purchased and now getting the run around. They keep telling me give it 3-5 days for an response. I am not able to speak to an supervisor. The service is horrible and a waste of money. Please do not purchase the warranty it's a waste of money.
Never buy Guardian Protection plan. It's waste of money.
I purchased protection plan by paying $250 for 5 yrs for Power recliner. After 3 yrs Motor got damaged and I raised claim. They are saying they can't repair the motor. Store says they can repair but it will be out of pocket. Guardian is returning the protection plan money and cancelling the protection plan which is still valid for 2 more years. Pathetic customer service.
Absoloutely worthless...DOT NO BUY
This company is useless and the companies to recommend their services are also scam artist. I purchased sofa and loveseat with power for 7K The Guardian warranty was $499.95 Five months after purchase both loveseat and sofa leg rest are sagging and armrest are peeling. I submitted a claim and was quickly denied because it was submitted past 30 days. on 10/2024 I discovered that a pillow on the loveseat is peeling, submitted a request and was quickly denied because they according to them is not covered. On their documentation it shows that "Human or pet bodily fluid stains" and "Rips, cuts, burns punctures" and "Breakage of frames, springs, motors and ..." It seems to me that they should be covered. What is the point of the warranty if you decline every item that is submitted? Very disapointed and angry! Try to protect my property by buying protection for $499.95 and get nothing!
WORST COMPANY TO GET PROTECTION FROM
I bought leather sofas from Bobs in 2022 and bought this goof proof plan. 3 weeks back one recliner ended up with a stain from the "peloton" shirt that my son was wearing. I called Guardian and made a claim and told that I think its caused by the shirt, but was not sure. Because first I thought how could the shirt cause a stain. I wish I could have recorded my claim conversation. Guardian rejected my claim saying they will not cover because I did not know how the stain is caused. This is ridiculous. The stain clearly shows dye marks. Later my son confirmed that it was caused by his shirt. He sent me pictures of the shirt.
This is accidental stain damage, which should be covered. The sofa is inside my living room. Why would I not care about my own sofa in my own home. I do not have any Pets. Just because I said "I was not 100% sure", they rejected the claim. I even gave proofs later with pictures of the shirt, that caused the stain and reached out to Guardian for review. They still rejected it stating the same reason. This is a clear rip off. They are just avoiding to service or probably they are sure that they can not take out the stain.
I wish I could have read Google reviews, before buying this Goof proof. Utter unprofessional company. I am so unhappy
I am vey disappointed. Look at the pictures and you can find that its caused by that Shirt.
SCAM Company
This company is DEFINITELY a scam. I accidentally damaged my bed by getting on it too aggressively resulted in a cracking sound and likely damage to the frame. Their policy (section 2B) specifically covers this type of damage but they are saying its not covered. I have started a case with consumer financial protection beauru (CFPB) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC). I also have recorded phone calls with them. A class action lawsuit definitely needs to happen for this type of scam.
Worst Scam Company out there
We bought a $1500 couch from Bob's Furtniture who assigns Guardian Protection. We bought the protection because we have young kids and I wanted to keep my $1500 investment ptotected. We had an accidental rip on the chasse side. We filed the claim in August. A few weeks later we had an accidental spill by a permanent black marker on one of the cushions. The Tech they assigned to came to our house. Spent less than 2 minutes to take pics and when I asked him will he treat the stain. He said no. I'm here just to take pics and make my report. I don't know what he reported but the Guardian agent whoever these group of crooks who are so called account representives emailed us and said we got the report from the tech and your claim is denied because they are no rips and there is no stain. I'm dumb founded by their response. They just dent every claim without any real reasoning behind their decision making and there is one you can speak to when they close the claim. They just give you a generic response sorry the account rep had closed the claim. Not to forget. The filing for these 2 claims was extremely painful with lots of back and Forth. It almost felt from the beginning that they're trying not to pay you for the claims. Worst crooked company I ever dealt with. Now im out $1500. I can't use that couch.
Do not buy furniture warranty from this…
Do not buy furniture warranty from this company. They denied my claim to repair my sofa cushion. Money wasted.
Had this on a lazyboy recliner
Had this on a lazyboy recliner. They turned down a claim, as I expected from a lame warranty. I will NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
worthless warranty
This company does not back their own warranty. It’s literally a scam. Do not waste your time or money with this company!!!!
Trash Scammers you’ve been warned your whole life about.
Same as all the rest. Never responded to claim within the up to 10 day waiting period, then asked for more pictures like the rest of the reviews mentioned, then found any excuse not cover the claim. I still have two more years of coverage from them and it’s junk. The first claim will basically keep the bed frame from ever being covered again. Shame on Bob’s Discount Furniture, and shame on any other company that supports these guys. Absolute scam. This is the epitome of the junk scam warranty's you’ve been warned your whole life to never purchase.
I wish I read all of these reviews
I wish I read all of these reviews, I would have saved a lot of money , time and useless conversations with useless people. Worst consumer company I’ve ever dealt with. They are a fraud and have no customer service guidelines what so ever no follow through. I spoke to 7 different people and had to repeat myself 7 times and each time I was told I’d get a follow up phone call in 3-5 days. All started in May and we are now August ! Still have gotten no where!
Guardian - don't waste your money
I bought the protection plan for a sectional couch from Bassett. You contact them to come and fix a stain, and you send the photos that they want, then they sit on that email for a few weeks, then they tell you to send even more photos. This is the worst company ever. Bassett does not care either, they tell me its a 3rd party and they don't control them. Don't waste your money.
Absolutely useless company Guardian…
Absolutely useless company Guardian Insurance.
we purchased a new suite of furniture from Soaf.com early 2023 and unfortunately marked it with a Magic Marker in December 2023. Guardian said they will replace a cover - just a cushion cover and today in August after 8 e-mails chasing and 8 month waiting no replacement.
Dont use this service company totally useless.
Waste of time and money
Guardian customer service and the furniture protection plan they offer aren't worth $1. They will delay, look for reasons to deny claims, and do anything in their power to avoid actually covering damage to customers furniture. Avoid this scam company, the only thing you'll ever receive from them in exchange for your $500 is a furniture cleaning that's worth less than $20.
They do not stand behind their policy…
They do not stand behind their policy on spills. They say all spills covered and now not standing behind it. Waste of money!!!
Don't waste your money on their crappy protection plan…
Don't waste your money on their crappy protection coverage. They are crooked. I paid good money for their protection plan when I bought my furniture. About a year into my plan I filed a claim. One was to repair the recliner mechanism on my sofa and one for the finish on my end table and sofa table. The finish was starting to come off. They fixed the recliner mechanism but denied coverage for the finish peeling. These people lie through their teeth. When I called them to ask why they denied my claim on the furniture they asked me what I thought about how it happened and I told them I didn't know, that the finish on the two pieces just started peeling off. They told me that it appears that something was spilled on it and made the finish start peeling. They then asked me what I used on the furniture and I said that I have always used Pledge. Then they said that that was what was causing it to peel off. They are such liars and crooks. I talked to them today and they told me a totally different story. They were telling me this time that they only cover furniture under accidental causes. They them told me that it would be covered by coffee or other hot beverage that is spilled on it. That would be covered. So right there they are lying because they first told me that that wasn't covered. So they are denying coverage and I'm stuck with two crappy pieces furniture mynext move is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Ridiculous. Don‘t ever buy.
Ridiculous! Made a claim, got told that ink, cosmetics, crayon, etc are covered, but no dye. What a useless insurance. Was totally upset. 400$ for nothing. Don‘t ever purchase.
This company is a SCAM!!!
This company is a SCAM!!!! Do NOT purchase their protection plan. Because it protects you from nothing.
To begin this nightmare story, I submitted my claim along with the pictures they requested the same day as the claim or the very next day. The following day they sent me an email stating that they received what I emailed and that they would get back with me with a determination in 5 business days. That didn’t happen. So, I called after that time frame. Once I realized I needed to escalate my concern, I ended up getting Daniel -Supervisor #1 on the phone. He promised that I would have a resolution in another 1-2 business days.
I had to call back again after the determination, I requested a supervisor review of my claim. As I am extremely unhappy with this result. I was informed by the supervisors I spoke with (Tammy & Page who is the top of the supervisor line apparently), that they don’t cover normal wear and tear even though that what was promised to me when I purchased the furniture. And that I would have needed to basically lie or come up with some type of outlandish story as to how the furniture frame broke and punctured the sleeper portion of the couch. Instead of the truth. Which was that I sat on the couch after having it for 4 years with my knee up in my lap and the frame just gave way and cracked in half.
At the time of me submitting the request for coverage I decided to also inform them of a stain that happened the weekend before that I was having trouble getting out. Do you all know that this company told me that they will send a tech out to try and remove the stain but that the broken frame piece and the puncture from that happened from the frame breaking due to regular use isn’t covered. SMH Like what?!
So, Guardian wants to only come and rub a stain out of the couch that we cannot sit on properly now because it’s damaged from regular use (because it’s a couch). How does that make any sense?
I have even asked that they send someone out to assess the damage. The supervisor said, “it’s not that the couch is damaged/broken we understand that. It’s how it was broken.” I reiterated that I didn’t do anything to the furniture but take care of it for four years and sit down on it with my knee up. I even sent them pictures. Which show that I do take very good care of the furniture and the damage the frame breaking caused. I was unable to get a picture of the break in the frame, as it’s under the couch and I didn’t want to hurt myself or damage it further by lifting it. The supervisor then said, “yeah, well if it was caused by you tripping and falling on the couch and then it broke, that would be covered.” I was baffled. So, if I’m understanding this correctly, If I would have called and lied about how the frame broke it would be covered? She then reiterates that if an “accident” like that had happened then, yes. I am appalled by the trickery and scam they pulled with this “protection plan”. This is an accident! I didn’t do anything purposely to damage the furniture.
This company is partnered with BOB’s Furniture, and they are allowing BOB’s to sell their protection plan to customers under the LIE/guise that they will be covered and taken care of if their purchase is damaged. I was assured when I purchased this coverage that it would cover any issues such as wear and tear and any other problems 100% including accidents, pets etc. Also, I used the allow because after my issue, I’ve seen thousands of people on different consumer and social media sites having the same or a very similar issue with this company. Which means that the company is aware that customers are being promised this information. Yet they have not fixed the issue with the information BOB’s is providing nor are they fulfilling what they promise to provide.
PLEASE DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS “PROTECTION PLAN” It’s a SCAM.
I guess I am expected to just purchase another living room set. Even though this one is still covered under a protection plan that I paid additional money for or find some way to either repair it, which I believe is unrepairable. SMH
This situation was a headache to say the least and a huge WASTE OF MONEY! If you do decide to take the risk for whatever reason, my advice, have an accidental lie prepared on your first interaction with them. Because these thieves will look for any reason NOT to cover the damage. Including taking advantage of your trust and honesty.
BOB EVEN AGREED THAT GUARDIAN IS A SCAM
THIS COMPANY IS THE BIGGEST SCAM. I CANNOT IN GOOD CONSCIENCE EVEN GIVE IT ONE STAR. I PAID $250 FOR A WARRANTY ON MY $3000 COUCH AND AFTER TWO YEARS THE ARM CAME LOOSE AND I CALLED AND THEY DID NOT HONOR IT. I WEIGHT 125 POUNDS AND THERE IS NO WAY I COULD HAVE DONE THAT. IT WAS DEFECTIVE AND THEY SAID IT'S NOT COVERED. I CANNOT EVEN IMAGINE HOW THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS.
