We try and avoid Cleveland as service very slow compared with Capalaba

My son ordered GYG from the Bundall store on Saturday night 28 March at 5.53 and starting continuously vomiting from 1am Sunday morning and still in bed this afternoon at 4pm Sunday. It is obviously food poisoning, so I rang the store to let them know as you don't want this happening to anyone else and no one has rung me back or acknowledged him being so ill. I did not want anything from GYG except hoping to help stop this from happening to anyone else. My son is an athlete and competing this week and I hope this does not affect his performance.

Stafford store, Sunday morning 9am, four staff, zero customers in store, one order on monitor (drivethru), eight minute wait before service. 29 Mar 2026

What happened to GYG?, Used to be awesome but now its horrible, I am so disappointed this place has let themselves get to the point of bad reviews and a bad taste in my mouth.
Sorry GYG your breakfast is only the good thing you have left.

As a vegetarian, I gave GyG more than a fair go... but after ordering a "vegetarian" burrito and biting into meat not once, not twice, not thrice, but *four* times - I'm done. Nothing kills an appetite faster than playing mystery-meat roulette with your dinner.

Could be worse, I read that a customer in Queensland found a battery in their food.

I wish there was a way to give a zero.

I ordered Dinner for my family and it was over 20 minutes late and ice cold. When we contacted the restaurant we were hung up on by the manager multiple times.

I reached Out to online support who took a month to respond saying they’d give me a few dollars for an extra visit. For food that we didn’t eat because it was inedible. For a team that is non responsive at best. This company is a joke. You’d be better off eating from a dumpster.

Just tried your food for the first time. I got a couple of $3 Tacos. There was virtually NO meat in either one. If you are going to be so stingy with the meat, ADVERTISE THEM AS VEGETARIAN

Me and my partner went to try the bowls in GYG ROXY and it was amazing. the staff are polite & fast, it really shows the customer service they have. Definitely recommend to others.

Unwavering warm friendly service
by the staff at Northbridge. I can highly recommend the absolutely stunning soft shell grilled chicken taco with habenero sauce, fresh coriander and lime... 10/10.

Most disgusting food I’ve ever eaten. Eat baked beans instead!

Firstly they claim to serve traditional Mexican. From what I have eaten there is nothing traditional about their food. Firstly, Nachos... No corn chips served with french fries. Sorry but that's loaded chips. I asked for spicy, well I would hate to taste mild because there was hardly any spice in spicy. The amount of sour cream I got with ordering extra tells me that the amount of sour cream normally would be negligible. All in all I rate this meal very low. Sadly I can't go below a 1.
Tacos leave a lot to be desired as well. Dry little to no spice. I can make better at home so not worth spending money at GYG.

When requesting dairy free I’m given tacos with cheese. I have a health condition so it’s not some frivolous thing. I specifically ask for no cheese no sour cream . Why is this still happening? Not impressed.

This time, I received the wrong order, again - with my drive through, take away order. As soon as I got home and unwrapped the food, I saw that it was not the right order. In the past, I’ve driven back to the store and complained and asked for it to be done correctly (after giving them back the wrong one). This time, I could not be bothered and simply threw it away! I will not be returning or purchasing from this place again - as the competence of the store is lacking, immensely.

This was a great choice for a breaky wrap meal deal with coffee which was great and a hash brown well priced and worth the price leaves Maccas way behind
Arana Hills outlet is the best

First and last time I buy from GyG. The chips were fantastic. But the beef cal burrito was full of pieces of fat. And huge amount of watery guacamole. I couldn’t finish it.

My two brothers got food poisoning. Vomiting, diarrhea for THREE DAYS after this food.
Do yourself a favour and never use this business. Location was Lidcombe Nsw opposite Bunnings.

I stopped at Guzman y Gomez in Ascot W.A. on the way home from a photoshoot last sunday night and ordered the salad with pulled pork.
When I started eating it I found some frozen cucumber and carrot slices in it and the lettuce seemed frozen as well. I ate it anyway but that turned out to be a mistake. I woke up around 2am with pains in my stomach and had a very upset stomach for the next 2 days. Hopefully they normally do better than this and I was just unlucky but that was my 1st experience eating at one of their restaurants.
