This product was recommended to me by my stylist. Was I hesitant in purchasing due to the cost? Yes, definitely but when you think about how often you wash your hair and how often you have to buy product, it's basically the same price if not less when factoring. You will not get instant results, trust the process, 8 weeks is a long time but you will definitely see the results after. But also you cannot really use other products, like styling...you should only use Hairstory while expecting full results. My hair is on its way back from an extreme recovery of 17yrs of box dye, since switching to Hairstory my hair hasn't looked this good or been this healthy in years. My stylist was shocked by how good my hair looked when it was time for my touch-up...credit goes to your products and her amazing skills. I do advise you watch you tube videos and the videos on their site, again it's not your average shampoo, so you should not be washing as you normally would with regular shampoo. 100% worth the time the results take to show and the money!

I used new wash exactly as directed until it was gone. What a waste of money! It did nothing for my hair. There was no change at all. I was willing to pay their high price because, based on the website, I thought it would make my hair softer and less dry. NO NO NO. It did neither, nada, nothing! I wrote the company to get a refund. No response in that regard. The only response was to try to sell me more. DO NOT BELIEVE THE WEBSITE, DO NOT BUYE THIS PRODUCT!

I'm so happy that my daughter who has long dark wavy hair raved about this product and gave me some to try before I purchased it. I have short blonde (colored) fine hair (but a lot of it) so I wasn't sure what to expect since I had been using an expensive purple shampoo and conditioner to prevent brassiness. Because of the coloring, the ends were a bit dry, and when I tried Hairstory just once, I was thrilled with the results! It works so well for my hair and it did not strip the color at all - no brassiness in sight! I had to order some right away!

My stylist recommended Hair Story, and I really love the product. I spent a great deal of time researching the product before buying, and paid close attention to how to use the wash on my hair. For reference, my hair is normal, not dry or oily. The directions say to rinse, rinse, and rinse again, with a brush, which is exactly what I did. My hair has felt wonderful and stays clean for longer. Other reviewers have commented about the cost of Hair Story, and if you compare the costs of a both a high-end shampoo and conditioner, New Wash by Hair Story is actually less expensive.

Any terrible reviews about this shampoo are from people who have not learned how to use it properly. I was one of them in the first year I used it, but I didn’t give up and eventually figured it out. The key is to use a enough of the product to thoroughly coat your entire hair from scalp to ends. I have also found scritching and preening daily to be super helpful. Now my hair is in the best condition that it has ever been. No more tangles or split ends. I can go as long as a whole week without my hair becoming super greasy as it has before. Plus, my hair dye now no longer fades after just a few washes. I swear by this product.

After reading negative reviews I thought I would add in my feedback.
I heard about Hairstory through a friend and thought I would give it a go.
My hair is past shoulder length, slightly wavy, and prone to frizz.
I would always wash twice followed by conditioner. I had products filling our bathroom cabinets - none of those I loved, but I still used them.
I purchased New Wash Original, and was extremely excited when it arrived.
Pouch appeared smaller than I expected, but I was aware what I had purchased. My eyes - I need to recalibrate- and get used to a different product.
First hair wash - yes, it sure did feel different. So I did it twice to ensure the product was through my hair.
Rinsing - again, I was enthusiastic and ensured my hair was well rinsed.
Result: absolutely love my hair. My hair feels different, no frizz. I feel as if I have the correct oil distribution throughout the length of my hair.
I have been using the products now for 8 months and will never go back to shampoo and conditioner.
I have also purchased the hair oil and hair balm.
Again, products are incredible to feel - they feel smooth and of high quality without feeling gluggy.
I am absolutely thrilled with my hair, the Hairstory products and the staffs response to my emails.

Horrible shampoo for oily hair. Never felt like my hair or scalp was clean and eventually just used it as a conditioner as that's all it seems to be.

Unbenotes to me was put on a subscription for refills. Never authorized that my cc number be kept on file. Currently trying to return plus not a great product

Wish I'd read the reviews before I purchased. Just got mine and washed my hair with it...and it justs looks dank, heavy and frankly, looks like I haven't washed it. I've got a feeling I'll need to wash it again tomorrow with my old shampoo as I can't have it looking like this thru the weekend. Expensive and as many have said on here...pretty ineffective...and sorry, but I can't wait the 8 weeks or so to keep using this in order for my hair to suddenly become miraculous and I love the whole product?

I purchased the deep new wash product after completing the quiz to find out which product I should try and found it to be very conditioning for my hair. I have dry end and greasy roots. It doesn't however solve any of the issues I have with greasy roots. In fact, even when using a shower brush it was very difficult to wash out and I found it made my hair very heavy with build up. I can't use it on my scalp for this reason, so I ended up using it like a conditioner in the end, which is pointless for the money. It's not worth the extortionate price and I'm quite disappointed with myself for falling for their instagram marketing. Will not be purchasing again.

Not worth the cost.
For this price you would really expect not needing extra products after this shampoo.
I’ve got curly coloured hair, my hair are soft but my curls disappeared! They are all freeze and I need another products to keep the curls in shape

I don't usually write reviews unless they're for products I love, but I think given the cost of this product it's useful for others thinking of making the purchase.

I was having an issue with my hair, one patch in particular. I would wash my hair but it would still be greasy. I'm vegan and I tried new wash as a last resort because it does include a little wool bi-product. I found it very expensive but read a few reviews that said that you only need to use a little and you might be able to go longer in between washes. At this stage my hair had been gross and unwashable for about a year so anything worth a shot! I was using superdrug own brand shampoo at that point, it was pretty much the only thing that worked on my hair, I'd tried fancier brands and shampoo bars but they only made my hair worse. I want to move away from shampoos with too many chemicals, thinking they were stripping the natural oils from my hair and so, making it worse long-term. Hence this decision to try New Wash.

The first couple of times I used new wash, my hair was worse than ever, lank and greasy all over.

Hairstory made contact and suggested I used more or wash twice. I did this and actually my hair looked great. I was really happy with the results. I should mention that I started taking an omega supplement at the same time so I can't be sure whether this sorted my hair issue.

I've now been using it for just over a month, I wash my hair every other day and I have to use at least a tablespoons worth of product. My hair hasn't returned back to the greasy mess it was but it only stays clean for a day and some days it looks better than others. I have fine hair and I was hoping new wash would add volume and bring out the natural wave. If I wash twice and use a lot more than usual it does help achieve this.

This is by no means a bad product but in my opinion it's really not worth the money. Here's why:

- it's really tough to use, I think the point is that you have to buy the brush to work it through the hair.
- you have to use lots, unless you have shorter hair you could easily get through a bottle in a month
- it's so expensive. If this product completely transformed your hair or you only needed to use a little then you might justify the price but for most people with normal hair, I think you could get the same result from a less expensive option

So not a bad product at all. But for £44 per month I want my hair to look f-ing sensational. If you'd usually spend a lot on hair products I would say, give it a try. But if, like me, a bottle of shampoo usually lasts you months and £44 seems like a lot, I wouldn't bother.

I was hopeful as I have dry hair. I didn't like the product at all. I rinsed well as per instructions but my hair was heavy and my scalp wasn't clean my hair started falling out in handfulls. I won't use it again.

I’m still trying out the shampoo/conditioner (Deep, since I have a pretty oily scalp). I don't know yet if I think if that’s worth it but I can say I LOVE the dry shampoo. It smells great, gives volume without that tacky feel, easy to apply at work if my hairs still a little wet when I leave from steaming to get curls back and the puff gives just the right amount. I will definitely be buying the dry shampoo again and recommend it to anyone who wants to go longer in between washes. Great product!!

Very disappointed by this product. Its super expensive and arrived half the size of what I was expecting - such a tiny pouch for the cost!! It made my hair super greasy and lank. Please save your money people. A decent, organic conditioner does the same thing! I picked up a huge bottle from TK Max and use that to wash my hair with every few days, it works wonders and only set me back £10 as opposed to £44!!

This product is brilliant, I have suffered from psoriasis on my scalp for years and nothing worked not prescription shampoos because of chemicals and frothing agents, nor ordinary shampoos for the same reasons,I have to make sure that it is rinsed out thoroughly or my hair looks greasy but on the plus side my hair is no longer frizzy; you do have to take time rinsing excess product out of your hair and then it is perfect; my hairdresser is astounded and has bought some for his partner who also suffers from psoriasis of the scalp, an amazing product my hair used to be very wavy but no longer I now I have the hair I longed for in my teens

I wish I read the reviews before. My hair usually get oily on day 2 and they are now oily straight after I wash them with this shampoo. I can’t believe they are selling it at this price. It’s a scam with great Marketing.

Poor product - actually lost hair. Requested to cancel before the holidays, they did not do so. ended sending two more crqppy products. disputed charge with PayPal. What a mess.

I agree with the positive and negative reviews. This product is very over priced and I won’t be purchasing it regularly. I have fine hair that gets pretty tangled. Hairstorys wash smells lovely and my hair feels fresh and clean. But it is a pig to wash out. If the water you use isn’t really hot ( which isn’t good for your hair ) and you don’t do it for a good five minutes, you’ll end up needing to rewash your hair. So highs and lows. I’m sure there’s something that does just as good a job without the hassle with the rinse, and possibly cheaper too. I’ll keep searching!

I absolutely love this product. I initially tried a friends and did not rate it, feeling like my hair was greasy and gross after washing. My friend gave me some more to try and told me to really make sure I rinsed it out thoroughly. I followed the instructions on the site to the tee (massaged really thoroughly, comb through, leave on hair for a few minutes and rinse thoroughly) and I was blown away with how my hair felt! Every wash since the condition of my hair has improved. I now can last around 4 days between washes, and I suspect this will increase when I have my colour done. My hair looks amazing every day. My hair is blonde (highly bleached), thick and wavy. I will never use anything else!
