Review for Hamilton Baskets: A Disappointing Experience
I wish I could give Hamilton Baskets a negative star rating because my experience with them was nothing short of a disaster. I ordered a birthday cake for my friend, specifically requesting express shipping to ensure it arrived on their special day. I took every precaution to make this order as seamless as possible, but the incompetence of this company was astonishing.
The cake was scheduled to be out for delivery on April 22, as I had instructed, and yet the courier never delivered it. Instead, it returned to the shipping hub. To make matters worse, when it finally arrived the next day, it was warm, spoiled, and smashed beyond recognition. I promptly provided photographs to customer service to illustrate the condition of the cake, but to my shock, they refused to issue a refund, claiming that I didn’t order it in time. This is an outright lie! I ordered well in advance and paid for express shipping precisely to avoid any issues.
The customer service representative, Christine Ann, was particularly unhelpful. Instead of addressing my concerns, she simply copy-and-pasted the same dismissive response, showing a complete lack of empathy and professionalism. It’s clear that she is not equipped to handle customer inquiries effectively.
Incompetence seems to be the order of the day at Hamilton Baskets, and deflecting blame onto the customer is unacceptable. If you value your time and money, I highly recommend looking elsewhere for your gifting needs. Save yourself the frustration and find a company that genuinely cares about their customers. Hamilton Baskets has proven to be unreliable and unprofessional, and I will never use their services again.
