ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I wish I could give this minus stars. I also wish I had read the reviews first. My order was cancelled due to unavailable items, with no attempt to offer an alternative.

When I called, the sales manager, Quincey, was rude and dismissive, and told me there was no one else I could speak to. The tone was condescending and unhelpful.

I understand inventory issues happen, but charging before confirming availability and then refusing to offer solutions is unacceptable.

Very poor customer service.

Review for Hamilton Baskets: A Disappointing Experience

I wish I could give Hamilton Baskets a negative star rating because my experience with them was nothing short of a disaster. I ordered a birthday cake for my friend, specifically requesting express shipping to ensure it arrived on their special day. I took every precaution to make this order as seamless as possible, but the incompetence of this company was astonishing.

The cake was scheduled to be out for delivery on April 22, as I had instructed, and yet the courier never delivered it. Instead, it returned to the shipping hub. To make matters worse, when it finally arrived the next day, it was warm, spoiled, and smashed beyond recognition. I promptly provided photographs to customer service to illustrate the condition of the cake, but to my shock, they refused to issue a refund, claiming that I didn’t order it in time. This is an outright lie! I ordered well in advance and paid for express shipping precisely to avoid any issues.

The customer service representative, Christine Ann, was particularly unhelpful. Instead of addressing my concerns, she simply copy-and-pasted the same dismissive response, showing a complete lack of empathy and professionalism. It’s clear that she is not equipped to handle customer inquiries effectively.

Incompetence seems to be the order of the day at Hamilton Baskets, and deflecting blame onto the customer is unacceptable. If you value your time and money, I highly recommend looking elsewhere for your gifting needs. Save yourself the frustration and find a company that genuinely cares about their customers. Hamilton Baskets has proven to be unreliable and unprofessional, and I will never use their services again.

Mouldy fruit and long delivery time

Our order took almost two weeks to be delivered, we ordered it for next day delivery for Christmas Eve but took forever to arrive. The fruit is all mouldy and none of it can be eaten. Do not order from this company!

Customer Service was great

Customer Service was great, unfortunately the baskets did look a little cheap. Not what I was expecting. Ordered to give out as company gifts and not happy with the product.

This was a big waist of my time

This was a big waist of my time. The order was put through on Thursday. I revived a call from the company that the cake won’t be able to be delivered on Monday so I canceled the order of the cake and just made sure that the wine and the glasses would be delivered for Monday. The representative said that yes the wine will be there on Monday. And since I was promised that it will get there on Monday I left the order. Monday came and the gift was never delivered. On Tuesday the gift was delivered but it was already too late. I don’t understand why the website asked you when you want stuff to be delivered when apparently it won’t be delivered on that day. I have called the customer service and the person on the phone was telling me that once I submitted the order I agree to there terms. I agreed to the terms that I have picked and the website accepted. Do not use this company they do not appreciate there customers and think that blaming the customer by saying you agreed to the terms is the right why to deal with companies.

Read Substitution Policy and Reconsider!

Everything in the basket came as promised, aside from the choice of wine. It was all very tasty, however, I ordered a rose, and they substituted it for a red. It was a little disappointing as the wine is the centrepiece of the basket. Be warned that they can substitute all of the items in your basket without telling you. Further, they will not reimburse you for the change nor will they adopt any sort of solution. Upon emailing in regards to the issue, I received a copy/paste email of the policies basically saying that they would not do anything.

Save yourself some money and buy from the store :)
