I used this hosting provider yesterday

I used this hosting provider yesterday. When I refused to provide a photo of my passport, they decided to cancel their services, and I still haven't received my money! Be careful, I highly DO NOT recommend this hosting company. It looks like they're a FRAUD hosting company that will steal your data.
My domain has historically been tainted with this hosting provider's NS records. Now I can't clean them up... I've already lost 24 hours of time because of them, and this is just the beginning. Every lost minute costs me money. They don't even think about what they're doing, and of course, no one will compensate me. I recommend avoiding this hosting provider if you want to save time and money! My losses (.io domain), I can no longer use it due to the connection history with this hosting provider, as well as the cost of the services I paid for, are ruined because I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN REFUNDED. And yes... they decided to leave my last question unread, unanswered, and close it.

Oh yes, it's also important that this misunderstanding also affected four mirror domains in the following zones (.finance, .com, .digital, .network).
These domains were extremely closely linked to the main .io domain, and now I also find myself using them for nothing. The total losses are over $100 on the domains alone.

As explained in your open support ticket, your order did not pass our fraud check for a number of reasons. Your client area profile appeared to provide us a fake name & address, your order IP address did not match the location of your provided details, and your payment method also did not match those details. A secondary fraud check was performed, and as you chose not to provide the requested verification documents, the order was cancelled. You were immediately refunded and we advised it can take up to 3 days for the refund to post, this is outside our control and is standard for any refund issuance across any industry. We will provide your refund ARN as soon as it is available to track the refund status with your bank/card issuer's support team.

Your statements that your domains were impacted by us cancelling your order are factually and empirically incorrect. Your services were never activated on our network, we never hosted you, and so any decisions made to modify or adjust your domains was entirely within your control. Hawk Host has absolutely no involvement with your external domain registrations as you are not an active customer.

Alfred was wonderful

Alfred was wonderful. He quickly straightened out a complex (to me) DNS issue in the middle of the night. I very much appreciate it... as always with the Hawk Host support team.

Fast and responsive help

I could not access my website/email, and contacted HawkHost. They responded to my inquiry in a very short time order (< 15min). It turns out the issue was isolated to my desktop computer's connection (when I tried to access my website via my cellphone it was reachable so my site was not actually down).

The fast response time and help with resolving the connectivity was very helpful - especially as I needed access to my email.

Great team, treat even shared hosting customers with equal care

Tony and his team, as always, are prompt to respond to support requests, and no question I've posed has ever been treated as stupid or not worth their time. I'm the kind of web guy who knows just enough to be dangerous, but it's good I know that, so that I don't have to ask HawkHost to bail me out very often. I've been with HawkHost for what, 14 years now?

Do NOT trust your site with this company!

The reviews for this service must be fake. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with for web hosting. They will just hijack your entire site whenever they want and pull it offline. No warning at all they have horrible customer service. This is directly from chatgtp:

⚠️ Warning about Hawk Host

Aggressive throttling: On shared plans Hawk Host uses CloudLinux with strict CPU, RAM, and entry process caps. That means even a small spike in visitors, a WordPress import, or background tasks can trigger “508 Resource Limit” errors and make your site crawl.

Limited growth room: Their “unlimited” plans are marketing — in practice you’re boxed into ~1 CPU, ~1 GB RAM, ~20 concurrent processes. That’s easily hit by WordPress sites with plugins, WooCommerce, or bots crawling.

Overselling concerns: Many long-term customers report slowdowns during peak hours because servers are oversubscribed.

Entry-level focus only: They don’t offer true dedicated servers, and VPS plans come without cPanel unless you pay extra. So if you outgrow shared hosting, upgrades aren’t always seamless.

When you try to do regular updates on your site they throttle your service and your site goes down. You can't do anything and when you contact them they say to just optimize your site more. Just go on AI chatgtp and ask them about this company they will tell you the truth.

Watch them try to blame me for their horrible service.

If you notice, the company now edited their comments to again try to blame the customer for their known issues.

EDIT: The customer has edited their review and relied on ChatGPT to generate misleading hypothetical statements about our hosting that are not based on real world experiences from actual customers.

To clarify the situation, the customer was using 30GB of RAM via MySQL in a shared hosting environment. Thankfully Hawk Host uses at least 64GB RAM in all shared hosting servers and so we were able to maintain performance during the customer's abusive usage periods. We were required to act to ensure system integrity before the customer's usage grew further.

Original response from Hawk Host: Unfortunately this was a situation where the user's website and its resource usage was impacting the performance of the entire shared server. That resulted in an immediate service suspension, as we cannot allow a single customer's account to impact an entire shared server and all the customers hosted on that system. The user was provided an upgrade path to a hosting environment that would have been more suitable to their website's usage and resource requirements, and also given an opportunity to correct the usage through a temporary unsuspension. Neither options were exercised.

Excellent and Timely Support

The team at Hawk Host was a great help with an issue on my website. There was AI bots / ddos bots scraping my site and they identified the problem and provided multiple solutions. And they even fixed a problem with an old script I had and made it work again! :-) Hawkhost is always friendly and support comes fast at any time of the day or night when needed, and I am very happy with the service I received.

I just created an account...and I cannot reach to the support

I created an account yesterday, and no emails get delivered to my account to confirm my email address. I contacted their support via Email, and no support emails received yet. I am not sure where I should reach to understand what is going on my account.

Hawk Host always makes it easy to…

Hawk Host always makes it easy to purchase a domain name and setup hosting all in one go. The account was up and running in less than 20 minutes which allowed me to start working on the website right away. I have used Hawk Host for several sites and the service is easy to use. One comment would be to make getting to the CP a bit easier as it is not to intuitive to have to click on the service URL to get the menu to all the site options. I am sure you can make this easier. If you like to do your own thing, this is the hosting service for you.
