Received the manual as a portable data file (PDF) and it included everything I needed. It was quite expensive for an electronic copy, but given the specific and relatively rare vehicle type, I can s... See more

Online Haynes manual no
As a person of an of the owner of 12 Haynes manuals paperback. I figure I would give their online version a try for $45 plus other b*******. Do not get these manuals they are horrible to navigate through they make no sense on how they're set up even the most basic thing . Example performing an engine oil change and just wanted to know some simple torque specs and a fluid capacity is a 45-minute search and chances are they'll still give you the wrong numbers. The paperback books are great the online stuff no
Rip-Off
Like many of the reviews, purchased an online manual for my Berlingo but it’s all generic rubbished that could easily have been downloaded from you tube. It’s no use at all. Then try contacting them, no phone numbers and they don’t reply to emails.
Steer clear of Haynes, a rip-off!
Just become scammers
Just become scammers. The original paper Haynes manuals were fairly good. Lots of pictures of covered all the jobs you would expect for the specific car. The online autofix manuals are nothing but a scam.. the one I bought didn't have even a single picture of the engine or any basic jobs for the car. Absolutely contained nothing. Multiple emails and online contact forms sent, not one single reply. Phone numbers hidden in terms and conditions now also out of service.
General and incomplete
General and incomplete, not specific to my car. I expected much better job from Haynes Manuals. Waste of money, I would not recommend
Absolutely useless manual
Absolutely useless manual. You can find more info using Google and watching YouTube. Nothing like the manuals of old. I have had one for every car I have owned. I will never buy another!
Avoid
Ordered on line. Cannot access my order, cannot phone them, their emails go unanswered.
Haynes used to be the go to source for car repair, not any more.
Haynes used to be the go to source for vehicle repair, I have a dozen or more of their paper manuals, the online manual I bought recently was a complete disappointment, Haynes are nowhere near what they used to be. Very little information on the specific vehicle the manual is supposed relate to, most of it is generic, examples of procedures may be shown with entirely different vehicles, the genuine VIN for my vehicle was not recognised. Don't bother trying to contact their online support.
I ordered a manual for holden barina…
I ordered a manual for holden barina have not received yet .I ordered it on the 24 April.
Lost their mojo, lost their USP.
I used to be a big fan of Haynes manuals and have used them to help with repairs and maintenance for my vehicles for decades now. Sometime in the late eighties and early nineties they reached a peak with good, often colour, photos on quality white paper. However when they moved their printing base overseas, the quality dropped dramatically with muddy grey photos on cheap grey paper.
Now I can only get an online manual for my car which is a totally different animal and which runs so contrary to the ethos of the Haynes manual. Navigation is not easy as you cannot 'flick' through it as you can a paper book. Nor have Haynes gone to the trouble of dismantling and repairing a car like yours; they have simply lifted diagrams from the official workshop manual along with some minimal and often poorly translated text. Additional stuff, such as videos, is very generic and not that helpful. Moreover, I do not have a computer in my garage so I have to plan and print beforehand rather than just take the book with me. Even then, the pages are not printer-friendly with even lines of text chopped in half over page breaks. If John Haynes OBE knew what had become of Haynes he'd be turning in his grave.
Bought a digital version of a manual…
Bought a digital version of a manual expecting it to be similar to that of the usual hard copy. Nothing like it, and very poor.
Very limited information, and some of the parts I looked at showed pictures of a completely different make of car.
I tried to access some wiring information today and every time I click on the digital link it now says I have to activate it again.
Complete waste of £30. So so bad.
Don't bother
I have used the paper manuals for over 40 years and they were the go to manuals. Full of useful diagrams and information, even when they moved from line drawings to photographs.
The move to electronic is just a big con, there is more useful information on YouTube and in the various forums. I own two a jaguar xf and vauxhall vivaro both are pretty useless. Don't waste your money on them. If I could give less than one star I would. As others have said the majority of the information in the procedures is generic.

Bought several Haynes manuals since the 1970’s without any issues until now. Website search advice was incorrect. Did as instructed and checked compatibility which confirmed correct item. When received, cover note stated it didnt cover the model I had searched for. Emailed customer services twice and submitted contact us form on website 4 days ago. Today tried to call. Number in T&Cs does not exist. Finally found another number on FB page. Straight to answerphone and instructions to send email. This would never have happened in the past.

The app in the 500 card game is being manipualated during play. Using the options for the position of the JOKER being highest or lowest in the Misere/Nullo call, The status of the JOKER is being switched mid game making a winning hand become a losing hand. I thought at first this was a bug in the app itself, but upon leaving a nasty comment cursing the developer as this was happening often, I received a glout comment at the end of such hand. Maybe the developer or administrator is also a player and using the JOKER setting to their advantage.
They are not the same as they used to be.
I bought two manuals hoping they would help me as I'm trying to keep the life of my Ford Focus alive and for my Volvo its reached the age where I ideally would no longer pay for service from a dealership. The online help was generic and the paper manuals are now paperback which for £28 is ridiculous. The Volvo help is particularly confusing as its nearly all generic.
Decline in Standards
Since they went to online only vehicle manuals, the quality of the manual has gone down. I've been using Haynes manuals for 35 years, and in that time, they've been dumbed down to the point that their helpfulness is questionable. The online only ones are the poorest of the lot. Sad.
Old, printed version is the king
I used the old, printed version for my former car and it was really a dream to work with.
For newer models they only provide "online" guides...
You can't really use an online guide when you are working physically on a car, especially when the new "guides" does not contains any relevant repair manuals for your car! I have a sixth generation Suzuki Swift, and the repair manual content specific for this type is about 10%...so basically useless. Most of the content shows me what I already snow from the car own printed user manual. Most of the content is "General DIY tutorials". It does not really helpful if it shows me e.g. a Ford or a Nissan, when I need specific steps for a Suzuki. It is compare a pear to an apple. It's just lazy work.

I just ordered online version so it's basically made for beginners. Not like older version (book). I was so happy with book version, but with online version very disappointed.
Perfect for DIY Car Maintenance
The Haynes manual is brilliant for anyone who likes working on their own vehicle. The diagrams are detailed and the explanations are straightforward, making complex jobs much easier to understand. I’ve used it multiple times already and it’s been spot on every time.
The Service is use less - total waste of money
The Service is use less. I have been unable to access my account in months and they totally ignore all communications.
I was not a fan of the service when I could get in, but I have an issue now that access to this service (that I paid for) may be able to help and I cannot get even get in (they changed their website, I found out) and their customer support is nonexistant
