Its a great station the best for movies and series in my opinion

My proplem you call yourselfs hbo nordic I thougt you are not where avalable in the whole notdic region. But its not so . Its true its avalable in Scandinavia Faroe Islands and Greenland, but not in Iceland.

They sell the rigths in wholesqle to Icelandic billioneers. And they then resell to the locals trough there own outlet for a rediciusly high Price... Shame on you!

Series disappeared all of a sudden! What a waste of time! How hard is it to give a note in the movie or series overview what is the last day to watch it!? Frustrating waste of time not to be able to finish what was started!

HBO closed my 1/2 price lifetime subscription without notice. Explained that my card could not be charged. They will not reopen without new full price plan. Basically they try to wipe all old customers as silent as possible. If you experience this ask them accordingly to GDPR rules to have your account deleted.

my creditcard was change and one day after the cancel my price of 50 % discount..

Have not been using it for a while, but keept it because of the discount.. And now you cancel it after one day without creditcard.. I will never return

There is nothing, not a single movie i would watch in it

Quality has dropped so much, this should have been a 50 sek monthly fee, maximum. App keeps crashing, the subtitles are not alligned, sometimes you even get a different language which you cant seem to change back. Sad overall.

HBO Max is THE WORST streaming app, bar none. right now it's hardly worth the 50% subscription.
on a samsung tv, the navigation is slow and clunky, the selection highlighting isn't clear enough in the menus (I can only imagine how terribad it is for people with impaired vision), the clicking sound is ridiculously 90s - everything is just absolutely terrible.

what COULD have been their one redeeming quality - actually pretty good content - loses a lot of its charm when you can't go more than 20 minutes without HD dropping to SD, or worse still; freezes and buffers for ~10-20 seconds at a time.

and no, there's nothing wrong with our connection, our router, or our tv/app version. it's all updated and rebooted and all the rest. the app is just garbage.

Hbo max = unavaible to stream something with good quality.

No response from customer service in Norway after they merged into HBOMax on October 26th. I am still not able to log into my account. No one answers my emails. I am paying for a service I am not getting.

HBO (nordic -> max) doesn't care about existing customers. They care about attracting new customers and does so in a way that is unacceptable. Existing customers have to pay double to what new customers have to pay. That's a perfect example on how to not treat your customers. To tell existing customers that their long-term support is worth nothing and will be worth nothing in the future amazes me. Is that really how HBO tries to build trust? Loyalty? I wouldn't recommend a company that mistreats their customers, in such a direct way, to anyone.

Useless, just invest in VPN and get HBO max. Sh** has 5% of HBO max content available.

What nonsense is it splitting a service up in different categories. So when you are in one part of the world..that covers HBO Nordic you can't access hyped series like the redo of sex and the city. And there's no plans in the sight for the Tiger Woods Documentary part 2?? What a joke

Really? A maximum of 30 movies/shows in the watchlist. I can't see a single reason why you would need to limit this.

After my 3 time subscriping i thought they would have made a better app for my tv and Playstation, but no still lagging buffering and crashing, when all other streaming apps work just fine,

It is mostly fine (in regards to the content that they provide), but the User Experience of an app and website is quite bad.

Bad picture quality, killing the entire viewing experience. Fortunately they have a 2 week trial, so you can evaluate whether or not the sub-par streaming quality is an issue for you or not. For me it was a deal breaker.

I evaluated the service during an evening, as the library of titles looked much more appealing than Netflix's Meh library. However after sampling 4-5 of their titles, something just felt wrong. Blurry images causing eye strain, as if I needed glasses. Wife commented "could you increase the contrast or something".

To make certain we weren' just imagining things, I picked a show and a movie I already had transcoded from bluray, and the HBO image quality was way worse than my own heavily compress AVC1 (h264) rips.

To give an indication of just how bad the HBO image quality is, let me offer a comparison. I usually rip my blurays with libx264, using medium profile @ CRF 20. The HBO titles were a blurry mess in comparison. In order to figure out an objective measure of just how bad HBO's image quality is, so those of you with some familiarity with video can make a snap call, I re-ripped the bluray titles with higher compression. When compressing as hard as CRF 25-26 the image quality became similar to HBO's.

It's unfathomable why HBO, with such a great set of titles and high production values, is completely flushing that investment down the drain by offering such shoddy streaming quality.

In broadcast and streaming there is a saying; "quality is king". That refers not just to the production quality of a title, but also the viewing experience. HBO has really dropped the ball on streaming, and needs to urgently do something about it's streaming quality. I wouldn't touch this service unless all I needed was to view low resolution clips on my phone. For viewing on TV or a computer monitor, not a chance.

HBO Nordic has subtitles for their series and films. The problem is that it's almost not possible to use the function for reading as the subtitles is in white color and therefore not possible to read when something is in white on the screen. I have to use the subtitles as my hearing is weak. I have been trying now for more than a year to have them fix it but they can't.

I make short videos somtime that have subtitles and it's so simple to make a background for the text so it's readable so why can't a professional streaming company do that? If subtitles is present why isn't it readable?

No categories, so no way of searching for a specific movie or show. This is undoubtedly intentional nudging, why give the user choices, when we can instead just present an endless array of pictures of movies/shows that we (HBO) would like the customer to watch. I swear the continued worsening of stream services is going to cause piracy to become prevalent again.
