Good quality of food but abo is unflexible
I like the quality of food and the recipes are nice most of the time. But I'm currently pausing and this is very uncomfortable. Because you always have to think of pausing. It would be better to have the voice versa abo, so rhat you just order when you want a box. Otherwise you forget to pause and then you have a full box a food in front of your house door when you're not at home.

I’ve been very satisfied with HelloFresh overall. The company offers a great variety of dishes, and the deliveries are always punctual and uncomplicated. The system is well thought‑out and makes weekly meal planning much easier.
I do, however, have a small point of criticism regarding the quality of some fresh ingredients—especially the herbs, which are occasionally not what I would consider top-tier quality. Additionally, although this may not affect many customers, I would personally appreciate a larger selection of vegetarian and gluten‑free dishes.
Despite these minor drawbacks, HelloFresh remains a very reliable service in my experience, and I genuinely enjoy using it.

Great discovery
The delivery with the option to leave the box in front of the door works perfectly and the recipes are exactly as the picture/name appears, including the cooking time. Recipes are simple and easy to follow. I love that I can choose e.g. protein-reach, low calories meals with exact indications on the menu, so I know exactly what I am getting. The choices of meals each week is amazing with close to 50 dishes! The best of all, is how amazingly tasty every dish I tried so far has been. Basically, I cannot think of any suggestion for improvement, which says a lot.

Technically, you could report missing and damaged items and get a little money back as credit, reducing the cost of your next purchase. However, it is not so easy to check the presence of all the items immediately upon delivery. You would need a big kitchen for that. Also, the recipes are sometimes hard to read and a bit complicated to cook.

Never ordering again and you shouldn't either
Never ordering again and I recommend you don't either. The amount you get is terrible compared to the price. It's almost 2x cheaper If you buy the ingredients yourself. And the payment system is downright terrible. I had it set to automatic payments through PayPal. And after I got my last order I decided to stop any future deliveries and thought it was over. A few weeks later I get a letter delivered from hellofresh. And it was a bill for one of my automatically paid orders. And it said I had a deadline to pay( the letter arrived 1 day after the deadline) so I paid it and thought nothing of it. A few days later I get an E-Mail from a debt collector that I need to pay 2x the amount I just paid. Downright extortion. And how something like this could even happen with automatic payments is beyond me.

Missing items in deliveries
Main items (chicken filet, …) are missing regularly. My last box contained 3 meals, and 2 of them were delivered without the main item. And instead making it quick and easy to fix the issue - and - instead of being generous when compensating for the mistake, hellofresh makes the interaction with their support complicated/time-consuming. Frustrating when you want to cook a meal and things are missing…

vielen Dank für Dein ehrliches Feedback. Es tut uns unglaublich leid zu hören, dass bei Deiner letzten Box gleich bei zwei von drei Gerichten die Hauptkomponenten wie das Hähnchenfilet gefehlt haben. Das ist absolut ärgerlich und enttäuschend, denn wenn man sich auf das Kochen freut und dann die wichtigste Zutat fehlt, ist das Gericht eigentlich kaum noch zu retten. Dass dies anscheinend regelmäßig vorkommt, entspricht keinesfalls dem Standard, den wir Dir bieten möchten.
Wir verstehen auch Deinen Frust bezüglich unseres Kundenservices vollkommen. Wenn wir einen Fehler machen, sollte es für Dich so einfach und unkompliziert wie möglich sein, diesen zu melden, und die Entschädigung sollte so ausfallen, dass Du Dich fair behandelt fühlst. Es tut uns leid, dass Du den Prozess als zeitaufwendig und unsere Reaktion als nicht großzügig genug empfunden hast. Das war sicher nicht unsere Absicht.
Bitte melde Dich doch noch einmal bei unserem Kundenservice, damit wir uns diesen speziellen Fall und die Häufung der Fehler bei Deinen Lieferungen noch einmal genau ansehen können. vielen Dank für Dein Feedback! Es freut uns wirklich sehr, dass Dir das Kochen mit unseren Boxen Spaß macht und Du die Kochanleitungen als leicht verständlich empfindest. Genau das ist unser Ziel: Freude am Kochen zu vermitteln, die unkompliziert in Deinen Alltag passt.
Gleichzeitig nehmen wir Deine Kritik bezüglich der Herkunft unserer Zutaten sehr ernst. Wir verstehen absolut, dass Dir regionale Produkte am Herzen liegen und Du Dir mehr Transparenz sowie kürzere Lieferwege wünschst, anstatt Zutaten aus China oder Fleisch aus Polen in Deiner Box zu finden. Dein Wunsch nach mehr Saisonalität und Regionalität ist ein wichtiges Anliegen, das wir stetig versuchen, in unserer Lieferkette weiter zu optimieren.
Wir arbeiten bereits eng mit vielen lokalen Erzeugern zusammen, um den Anteil an regionalen Lebensmitteln zu erhöhen. Da wir jedoch eine große Vielfalt an Rezepten anbieten, greifen wir in manchen Fällen auf internationale Lieferanten zurück, um die Verfügbarkeit das ganze Jahr über zu garantieren. Dein Feedback bestärkt uns darin, hier noch kritischer zu prüfen, woher unsere Bestandteile kommen.
Wir raten Dir, dass Du Dich bezüglich Deiner Präferenzen für regionale Produkte noch einmal bei unserem Kundenservice meldest. Unsere Kollegen können Dein Feedback direkt an unser Einkaufsteam weitergeben und Dir eventuell mehr Informationen darüber geben, wie Du in Deiner App gezielt nach Gerichten suchen kannst, die einen besonders hohen Anteil an lokalen Zutaten enthalten. So können wir direkt auf Dein Anliegen eingehen.

I am very satisfied with HelloFresh. Unfortunately, it has happened that some ingredients were missing. But that doesn’t matter — where people work, mistakes can happen.
It would be great if the HelloFresh boxes were not left standing in front of the front door, as the products get squashed.
Overall, everything is fine. Cooking with HelloFresh is a great time-saver.
