THEY WILL NOT CANCEL MEMBERSHIP I HAVE TRIED FOR 6 MONTHS
THEY WILL NOT CANCELL MY MEMBERSHIP
Be careful of extra charges.
I was charged a monthly fee of $14.99 0n July12th for future help
when the tech didn't arrive until July 15th.
Good job Justin!!
I scheduled a visit on Fri
I scheduled a visit on Fri. for a tech to come on Sunday at 9 AM. Just before 9am I received a message from the tech that the visit had been re-scheduled to 6PM. At 1:30 PM I received a message that the tech would not be able to get there until Mon. evening. The website should have scheduled another tech.
This is a scam website. They will try to get you to agree to a monthly fee for something they will never deliver.
Beware
I called Hello Tech on a Thursday, and they quickly answered the phone and scheduled me for an appointment the next day between 9-1pm. The next day, no one showed up or even called, but they sure did charge me $86.00 for
the service fee right away. I called them at 1 pm and sat on the phone for 25 minutes before someone answered. The lady rescheduled me for the same day between 1-5pm, again no-show and no-call. Don't call this company if you need help setting up your theater equipment. Twice in one day, a no-show or a simple call. They were unreliable and unprofessional. Scam!
Double check their work!!
The first tech rescheduled multiple times, then didn't do complete work. I complained to HelloTech, and they agreed to send another tech to finish the work. The second tech had no idea how to finish the install. I had to figure it out myself, which is what I had paid to not do. So now I'm out almost $300 and still had to do it myself. What a waste of money!!! If you use their service, make sure your tech knows the system they are working with (mine was Eufy) and don't sign for a completed job until you verify everything works! I did get the $129 value of base install, but had to do the cameras myself after I paid them.
I scheduled an appointment for a…PS5 set up
I scheduled an appointment for a technician to set up a gaming system for my grandson. The technician arrived on time and 15 minutes later was 'finished', Imagine how surprised I was to learn that the set up was nothing more than hooking it up to the internet, (which had already been done) In the advertisement, it was a set up, hook up and establish 2 on line accounts. I certainly did not think it would be 129.00 just to hook it up to the internet. When I questioned the technician, he said that was all they did. They did not go through the log on procedure, they did not set up any accounts and basically did nothing technical, for all it was worth, I could get a monkey to do what they did. Be careful
"Call a local plumber"
My friend told me his company signed on to HelloTech and I should call HelloTech for toilet plumbing when snaking and plunging did not help. The guy who chatting was polite and professional but ultimate response was don't call us. "Call a local plumber."
DO NOT use HelloTech!
We hired HelloTech for the purpose of wall-mounting our TVs (one in living room and one in my office) and for installation of grab bars in our 2 1/2 baths, as I am disabled. The date of the work was March 28th, 2024. The tech's name was Dustin. We did not sign a contract but took out a membership with HelloTech. On June 24th, 2024, the TV and mount in the living room just fell off the wall (no studs were used; just sheetrock) and the wall was damaged and the TV was destroyed. On June 27th a second tech from HelloTech (Brandon) came to inspect the
damages. HelloTech then issued a damage claim #1219331. Brandon wanted to do the right thing (repair everything) but HelloTech HQ would not let him. Supposedly the claim was to be paid in "7 to 10 days". We were not paid until August 19th, 2024 ($538.96). And this is when the real problem
started. In trying to received the monies from PayPal, I mistakenly and quite accidentally REFUNDED to monies back to HelloTech on that very same day. Seeing my mistake, I immediately sent HelloTech (via PayPal) a request to resend the monies back to my PayPal account that same day. They would not and they wouldn't respond to my inquiries about it. Through many emails and phone calls,
they still have not resent my money back to my PayPal account. And that is all I'm asking. I gave them until close of business today, 09/13/2024 to resend the money or I would file a complaint with everyone that I could. They ignored me, yet again.
Complaint description
Briefly state what you would consider a reasonable
resolution from the company Simply resend the $538.96 to my PayPal account that was mistakenly refunded to
HelloTech.
wish i knew before I paid for this service
wish i knew before I paid for this service. In July i bought a TV From Walmart and included the wall mount installation. The TV was delivered. but then it went downhill from there. I received a text from a tech saying they would be there the next morning at 9am. Then i received another text the next day with no explanation that the call was canceled. when i called Hello Tech they said that there were no techs available for the install and would not have one anytime soon. I ask who was the tech who said he would be there. They could not explain. I called Walmart to ask for a refund for non service and was told Hello Tech would have to reimburse me. The calls went back and forth between the two for weeks. I finally got what i thought was a good answer only to find out that Hello tech said it would be 4 to 6 weeks to receive the refund starting from August 1st. From the reviews i just read i have little faith in that. Walmart needs to dump this company or face possible loss of a lot of good customers. I agree with the other customers they are a bunch of Crooks
This was my second time around with the…
This was my second time around with the same problems that I paid for. My services that I asked for were not completed by the first tech. Then I asked for a second tech, and the second tech didn't fix my problems. It was left up to me both times. I paid $158.00 dollars and got nothing.
On June 13th I ordered a TV from…
On June 13th I ordered a TV from Walmart my mom and I accidentally added the TV wall mounting and 8 canceled it the same day and I was told that I would receive my money back in 1 to 2 weeks and then I was told that I will receive my money in 4 weeks and I haven't received my money back yet. What a bunch of crooks.
On July 25th I finally got my money back. This company is very crooked
Billed for cancelled service.
I signed up for an appointment to check my wi-fi. Then, less than 2 hours later I cancelled it because I solved the problem. They cancelled the appointment but still billed me $21.39. When I disputed that charge I was told too bad.
Paid to have a TV mounted
Paid to have a TV mounted. 3 Days in a row they set an appointment based on my availability and then cancelled the hour prior; on the third day the technician had the audacity not only to depart from their house (according to the app) 40 minutes after the appointment was supposed to start, but also to then claim it was "unserviceable" because it was a customer no-show. I was at my house the entire time sitting by the front door and cancelled plans to do so. These people are a complete and total waste of time and money.
They said they would send a technician…
They said they would send a technician to fix my computer. Then I got a message saying that could go d a tech to help me. They are charging me $20 monthly for service they refuse to provide. They are fraudulent.
I called and set up an appointment to…SET UP A SIMPLE SECURITY BULB CAMERA
I called and set up an appointment to have a security bulb camera installed. 1st appointment was changed and another set up. Tech called 45 minutes before the appointment to say he had a very important job to do and would come the next day and call 45 minutes before he showed up. I noticed on the appointment confirmation that the charge was total $139.32 - not the $99.00 as advertised on their website. Instead they listed at $129.00 - taxes "0" - total $139.32. DOES THAT ADD UP? They told me the price is actually $129.00 (couldn't explain why it wasn't the $99.00 they advertised it at. The $10.32 was for "safety and support fees" which they tried to tell me was insurance and support" .
In the end they are a "BAIT & SWITCH" company, with the intent to push you into a membership, otherwise called future SUBSCRIPTION revenues. They wanted me to sign up for an annual membership of $149.00 "REMOTE" plan with $19.95 per month and a $69.95 in home fee. That comes out to $459.30. Nothing on their website is clear just like their support department twists things into picking your pocket. BEWARE AND STEER CLEAR.
