Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Food arrives late and in a terrible condition . Open jars , leaking and have been on the UPS truck for half day. Couldn’t feed this to my daughter . Terrible customer service as well. They didn’t refund correctly. So I lost money and the food: very unprofessional!
Scam service
Scam service. Items don't even ship by the "delivery date". I won't trust the baby food even when it does finally arrive.
Cancelled subscription and if I don't get a refund for the food I ordered over a week ago, I'll contest charges on my credit card.
Stay away from this service...will try Little Spoon instead which has great reviews.
Yumi Baby Food Never Arrives on Time and Sometimes Not at all
I relied on this company for my baby's food each week. After 2 consecutive weeks of non-delivery, I became really frustrated. I had to carve out time in my busy schedule to go to the store and buy baby food because I had nothing to feed my child. It wasn't the first time either. Multiple times, Yumi said that my order shipped when it actually never did, I would receive wrong baby food jars or missing baby food jars and even one time, a box arrived 1.5 weeks late and the food was warm and had mold growing on it. I've had a such a horrible experience relying on this company that I finally canceled my subscription.
I need a baby food subscription company that takes the needs of my baby seriously and is reliable. I can't continue ordering from a company that doesn't fulfill their subscriptions, continuously sends wrong food and lies about when the food will arrive, among other things.
Please be careful with this company. Their customer service is horrible and there will be many times when your baby's food just won't arrive and you will be left rummaging through the fridge trying to find something to feed your baby because this service never fulfilled it's promise of delivering the food.
Good food. Questionable quality control and freshness.
I genuinely was really, really excited about Yumi, and I absolutely love their premise of fresh/healthy food. However, I am incredibly disappointed with their quality control. Every single order I have had received has either contained expired food or had multiple seals broken. Specifically:
- I placed my first order on November 8, which arrived on November 16. One of the jars had a "best by" date of November 6 (two days before I even placed the order. Further, 3 of the jars had broken vacuum seals. I immediately reached out to customer service, and although they were responsive and offered me credits for the defective products, I never received an answer as to why I could have received expired food (if they make everything fresh that week) or what could have caused the faulty seals. They did acknowledge that the kitchen was having seal issues, but I have not received any further clarity on what that issue was or how it's being remedied.
- My next weekly order contained 2 broken vacuum seals.
- This most recent order that I literally received just 10 minutes ago - yup, you guessed it: 2 more broke vacuum seals.
I'm giving Yumi 3 stars because although their food does seem high quality, it's concerning that a company that prides itself on delivering "fresh" food would have so many quality control issues as it relates to that freshness.
I am currently looking into alternative food delivery providers and will likely cancel my Yumi subscription.
SCAM OF A COMPANY
WEBSITE IS EXTREMELY GLITCHY. Paid for a month's order. Baby HATED the food so i paused after 2 weeks. they automatically sent 3rd week after 2 weeks of being paused with 0 notification or warning. I called to complain, i talked to their online chat. they just dismissed me and ended the conversation. What a freaken waste of money.
I'm an extremely tech savy person
I'm an extremely tech savy person. I work from home and do everything online. Their website is absolutely disgusting to navigate. Try cancelling their subsciption, it says cancelled, refresh the page and it's still there. I was charged over TEN TIMES because of a technical glitch on their site and I'm fighting with them for a refund, taking almost 3 weeks. I've done live chat which they never answer, emails, tried calling, etc. With zero repsonse. They probably have one or two people handling all their customer service so they can save money. I will be filiing a dispute with my credit card company and will never recommend them. The "bites" are also VERY crumbly so have fun spending an hour cleaning after every meal, there will be crumbs in every tiny crack of your high chair, floor grout, you'll find it on your kids toys after a few days etc. Not worth it in my opinion. Also they dont even have vitamin c in their foods, barely. Kids need nutrients.
DISHONEST PRACTICES-LIMITS INSTAGRAM COMMENTS FROM PARENTS
I ordered food for my infant from this company a few weeks ago. For the first order I was able to select the flavors. Then went I went back to select it for the second order (I paid for 4 deliveries/one month in advance), I was unable to select flavors, change the orders or do anything on their website. Their website had suddenly changed and was very glitchy.
I tried to contact them via chat and the button didn't work. I tried texting them and they took almost a week between responses. When they responded it was an answer that had nothing to do with my issue. They were clueless. Then I tried to reach out via Instagram and realized that other parents were complaining about similar issues and that their food arrived hot. They ALSO LIMITED THE ABILITY OF PARENTS TO COMMENT ON THEIR INSTAGRAM PAGE-I'm guessing to hide all the complaints from parents like me.
For a company that is making infant food, I have no confidence in their practices. They are unreachable and they filter parents' comments about frustration with service and quality issues.
When someone finally responded, they said they would issue a partial refund which is not what they requested. I actually asked them if their website was always so problematic but they never actually answered any of my questions. They just offered a refund like telling me to go away and not ask so many questions.
Sorry, Yumi but if you're making baby food, parents will ask questions. You should close your company if you're not willing to answer questions from concerned parents.
