Survey good, the gent was knowledgeable and gave confidence in the Company and the type of boiler proposed. The surveyor said an electrician would not be required as there was a fused spur (or similar) already in place. We were told initially that the boiler would be installed Monday but the boiler installation, (despite the freezing conditions and a baby in the house), then only happened on Wednesday. An electrician was deemed required by the installer of the boiler but since there was no electrician they put in temporary wiring from a socket in the hallway to the attic leaving a potential tripping hazard. This also meant trips up to the attic to change heating / hot water settings. Repeated promises of an electrician came to nothing and eventually the work was only completed by an electrician a full week later.

An excellent service home serve provides . From the engineer who initially came to “fix” my boiler and informed me of all the works and problems. To the lady on the phone , Leigh who was knowledgeable and patient and helpful. And to Mick the surveyor who was friendly and fflexible who “knew his stuff “ . And the sub-contractor who was quick and efficient in fitting the new boiler.

I had to replace an old boiler and had originally gone to British Gas. They offered by discount as I had some level of cover with them but I shopped around as you should and came across HomeServe. They were so much clearer and honest in their approach. With British Gas they always tried to make it sound as if they were offering you the deal of a life time and "throwing things in for free". In reality the things offered were compulsory to the boiling fitting.
Aside from the difference in price for the same boiler and service, £600 cheaper with homeserve for the same boiler, the fitting was done promptly and quickly. My property required scaffolding which was up on the day of the fit and down the following day.
I have had some issues with homeserve since however. The digital thermostats which homeserve supply with the boiler are a cheaper variety than they offer account customers. I discovered this when the relay stopped working a day after it was fit and no one at homeserve could help me with the issue and told me to call Nest, the manufacturer up. After a diligent effort by Nest to help me write discovered that I did not have a Nest thermostat. The picture then became clearly and finally someone in their customer services who had previously been trained was able to help me (after repeated requests for call backs which did not happen).
It has now been nearly 3 weeks since the fit and the boiler is quiet and working extremely well. The relay for the digital thermostat is still hanging from the wall after not being fitted correctly and the fitter, it appears, has damaged walls and shelves with his feet when fitting the boiler because he did not have his step ladder with him. I have sent photos and the like to homeserve and to date I have not had a response.
Overall the initial treatment is good and the price simply beats British gas without trying. However the fit and the aftercare leave a lot to be desired and my issues remain on-going.

Good efficient website, friendly call centre team to give quotes etc. First engineer turned up as booked but was very miserable, walked in said no I can’t do it as your flue is under some boxing in and he would need to remove it and coving and he didn’t want to do that as it’s not his job. He left after 3 minutes.... not a happy man with much customer service I’m afraid. Called home tree straight away to explain, they apologised and sent their area manager a few days later who came out and had a look and kindly recommended another installer who would go the extra mile called Kevin.
Kevin turned up on time, very tidy, quiet and hardworking and got the job done with another gentleman (from Barbados who was lovely) to install the electrics. Both very neat and tidy and Kevin kindly reattached the boxing in and part of a cupboard we had built free of charge. Boiler is lovely, so quiet and works like a dream.
From quote to installation it took 1 week even though we had the initial hiccup so very happy with the speed and service.
I do think the apr% on the payment plan is a tad steep however so maybe that could be reviewed? Very happy though

A thorough ad efficient service to install a new boiler after my old boiler was deemed BER. My old boiler was BER on the Wednesday and by the following Monday the new boiler had been installed and working. The surveyor explained the situation fully and the engineers/electrician installed the boiler efficiently and without fuss. Hopefully the new boiler will serve me well if not I will be back!

The service was excellent from start to finish, the old boiler had been on it's last legs for a number of years and it was only a matter of time before it would be condemned, but fair play HomeServe kept it going in the fee. But once it was beyond economical repair the attention was excellent, the process slick, and the staff all efficient and courteous, it was agreed straight away that a new boiler would be provided and all of the work was done online and in real time, the boiler was installed within two days and it is of excellent quality as is the work and accessories, but don't think that this is a cheap alternative, the cost of installation was about the same as other companies would charge to provide and install a new boiler, I chose to go with HomeServe due to the quality, efficiency, and continuity the policy going forward.

Amazing speed to install. Given no heating and last boiler beyond economic repair I had no choice but to buy a new one. Help link did a video survey within 45 minutes of the first call and by 2:30pm I was booked in for an install the next day

I have to make constant phone calls just for the engineer to finish the boiler installation. They installed my new boiler Friday morning. They have installed the new boiler but because there was a burst pipe in our area, the water supply wasn’t sufficient enough to fill the new boiler. So the engineer told us that he is available on Sunday so okay finish it on Sunday I said. Sunday came and no one showed up. If you can imagine it’s been 8 days without hot water and freezing house. Tried to call the company who installed it but now answer (weekend). Monday came and I tried calling the installer’s office. They said they will send the engineer half past 3 in the afternoon. 5:30pm has passed nobody turned up. So I rang them again and told them no one has showed up. They said sorry the engineet was tied up with another job. We can reschedule it the next day (Tuesday) but I said we are very cold now in the house, there should be someone free to finish the installation but they said nothing can come to finish it this day. I then phone the surveyor (John Beswick) and left a message. Eventually around 6pm the same engineer who installed it last Friday showed up. He said, he was only told and book around 5pm and nobody told him to go and finish the job he started last Friday. Not very happy! Lost 2 days of money from work just to request a day off.

The team that fitted the boiler was very good. Was on time and treated the house as if it was there’s. They told me of any changes to the installation they had to make before doing them and at the end did a full run down of how the boiler worked.
