Since 1989, we have been providing compassionate, person-centred care at home to individuals across the UK. Our journey started in a small house in Warwickshire, and today, we have over 150 branches across the country. This growth has allowed us to extend our exceptional care and make a bigger difference while allowing our customers to remain in the place they love. Our carers are kind and compassionate individuals who always go the extra mile. They are fully trained to provide the highest level of care, no matter what condition you are living with. We are also recognised for delivering specialist dementia care, a service we have enhanced through our partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society. This has allowed us to provide our carers with dementia training to help support our customers living with different types of dementia. Our service is fully regulated and monitored by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales. We are proud to have received an overall rating of GOOD, and the CIW reported that our carers go “above and beyond, doing things that are ‘not on the list’.

Rang the Bromsgrove office on a Sunday afternoon on behalf of my mother (as I don't live nearby) and a visit was set up straight away for the following Tuesday. Thank you to Billie!

Very pleased we chose Helping Hands for my Mum and her Partners care. Helping hands is a very appropriate title as they will do whatever they can (within their remit and training) to support living safely at home.
Our only small gripe is opening Mums dosette box on the wrong days! But they can give her her meds and eye drops daily, which is brilliant for us to know sorted.

Following assessment carers are matched as much as possible with the person being cared for which bodes well for good trusting relationships. The carers are clearly well trained/skilled, curtious and respectful. They have also been supportive and caring of me as my husbands main carer.
As well as caring visits the company offer a sitting service which I utilise twice weekly which allows time for me, and to complete every day tasks out of the home which were becoming difficult to achieve. I feel confident and settled whilst out knowing he is being cared for by genuinely caring and professional people.
The Service appears to be well organised and responsive to changing needs with all levels of staff being compassionate and empathic to what can be difficult situations.
I would highly recommend Helping Hands Sheffield.

They are mindful of mum's needs and fulfill these smoothly. Any concerns they let me know straight away. The carers are respectful and friendly, always chatting away to mum.

The girls are always pleasant and wake you with a happy smile. They are always willing to help in any way you wish them to. If something is wrong they rectify it and always go out of their way to please.

We have found all the staff in the office, and the carers, to be helpful, accommodating, honest, and pleasant. This gives us confidence that our relative is getting the best help and support.

Helping Hands middlesbrough are a brilliant team we get the same carers visiting each week and the office staff are very helpful with updates. There is a gentlemen that works in the office, I cannot remember his name. He is very friendly to chat too and anything we discuss is sorted promptly when we speak to him.

After contacting them three times and specifically requesting care at certain times of the day and being reassured that they were able to accommodate, set up an assessment.
Only when they came to assess we were told that they did not cover our area and could not offer the visit times we had specifically requested.
Very embarrassing for the lady who came to assess and a complete waste of my time, which is unforgivable.

Helping Hands, especially Jo and Sarah could not have helped more. Jo spent time with us finding out what we were looking for and advice on how they could help. She also allocated Sarah, who has experience of FND, which was both kind and professional. Sarah was a joy for the whole week, she could not have been more helpful. She has a great sense of humour which worked really well for Mum and I.
The rest of our family holiday together around the same time every year, so I’m sorry but we will be back.
Thank you.

Organised care for my elderly mum, discussed times and everything was good. They have been visiting for about 4 weeks now and very rarely do they turn up on time.
After speaking to one of the carers about it she showed me her visits for the day and not one time at all. It appears the office regulate timings and carers move from one client to another.
My problem is that we were led to believe that mum would be visited at certain times with a contingency of 15 mins either way. Turns out carers turn up 9 times out of ten the 15minutes early. But that’s ok because it within their contractual timings.
My trust in them is lost because of this.
The carers are very good and this is an office issue and I feel an they should be more transparent

It is nice to have regular cleaning hut it's such a relief in particular not to have to worry about getting my rubbish out. I can manage to shift it from the house but I cannot safely lift the bags into the bins or move the bins around.
The helpers I have had so far have been pleasant, willing and helpful.
I think, if the helper has done all I need, they should be able to go even if the hour is not up. At the moment we sit there trying to make conversation when we both have problems understanding one another's accents. I have plenty of people to talk to and really don't need any more.
