The technical support line is answered by an automated machine which tells you your place in the queue, however, when in position 1 in the queue you get a message saying "if you wish to continue to hold press 1" then on pressing 1 the line gets cut off and you have to start the whole process again.

If I could give this company a zero I would. The customer service is appalling and will try anything they can to not help the end user. I ended up contacting a senior within the company who will hopefully be able to help however the normal service email is managed by useless individuals who will try and tell you they ‘don’t directly deal with the customer’ and that you should ‘contact a local installer’ even though I would be able to resolve the issues I am facing myself. I was also sent a rude and sarcastic email when I said that I had found an individual to help me with my query which was completely unprofessional.
Clearly I am not alone with this opinion as every single review on here seem to say the same thing. Absolutely appalling and I have files a complaint.

Absolutely the worst customer service from any company I’ve ever dealt with. Product worked for about a week, lost everything and was told there was nothing that could be done. Do yourself a favor and go with a different product!

Absolutely appalling service (as in you can’t get any) from HikVision. My installer is no longer on the scene and my system isn’t working. You need a degree in network engineering to set the thing up and trouble shoot and when I contacted HikVision directly, stating no installer available, they simply refused to help. And not politely either. Complete waste of money. Avoid at all costs.

HIK were recommended as one of the better camera systems with their colourvue range… all was well until recently when they’ve played around with the app and now the camera system is pretty much useless!

My physically, sexually and verbally abusive ex who has been removed from my house over 2 years ago apparently still has access to my camaras. I called hikvision a year ago and was assured he would be removed from the account. I've called several times since then and was told the same story. Just tried to scan the code AGAIN tonite and the DVR is still under his account. Not only am I unable to access the DVR that I was granted in legal proceedings but he us able to and has been accessing the feed to track my whereabouts. Thank you Hikvision for accommodating a violent stalker.

Hikvision Firmware upgrade
Tried doing a Firmware upgrade of a Hikvision NVR. Seemed to work fine. But now the whole unit is now corrupted. I can't even login. Can't use the SADMtool. Tech support won't help. The tech support Australia was worse that useless. Provided no help or support. Australia's worse technical support. I will NEVER buy another Hikvision product again. Save your money, time and sanity and go elsewhere.

Garbage, the customer service is horrendous , the products are horrible. I returned all of it . Don’t buy this junk. Customer service wouldn’t support their DVR they sold us then hung up on me when we asked to speak with a manager. Called back, the associate said a manager would take my call then left me on hold for 1 hours till I hung up and boxed all this junk back up. Never again Hickvison!

Tried to get support for a NVR Issue…
Tried to get support for a non-responsive NVR. Was told to speak with installer. But installer not supporting the NVR issue. HIKVision does not have any technical support of faulty products. No repair or replacement service, only buy new from installers!

For a company that actively manufactures new cameras, I can't understand why they continue to use outdated/defective software/firmware. Can't even use them on current browsers. We have yet to get the browser "FIXES" to work. Newly manufactured cameras shouldn't need "FIXES"!
I heard they only provide support for installers. If that's true, they should disclose that in their product description or shouldn't sell to the public. But that would cut into their revenue stream wouldn't it?
