I recently visited this popular electronics and home appliance store. They have a solid selection, but I found some prices to be a bit high. Staff was friendly, but I expected a little more variety
While the prices at Hiraoka are average and the excessive amount of sales staff constantly chasing me around the store got annoying, they do have one of the best ranges and layouts in Lima for electrical goods.
Hiraoka's delivery guys are always punctual and much better than those of competitors like Falabella or Ripley.
Yet, it's their installers and technical service guys that are the best part. And their technicians and installers are the reason I always buy from Hiraoka when I can.
The installer for my 55" and 85" TV in Pueblo Libre yesterday did a fantastic job. He arrived 2 hours early, installed everything perfectly and then cleaned up after himself. He's the best contractor I've met in Peru in years!
