The game is fun
The game is fun, but I have difficulties getting it to work on my Samsung phone. When scanning the qr code the song doesn't start playing in Spotify. The song is found, but not playing.
It works on an IPhone.
I have the Nordic version.

Fast delivery, great game!
Delivery was fast and the game was loads of fun. We kept playing for hours longer than planned because nobody wanted to stop!

What a blast!
Such a fun game and brings back memories and good times! Some cards did not play, but then we discovered that those were explicit songs and we had 'explicit' songs blocked on our Spotify premium account. We just set those cards aside. It would be nice if it popped up in the Hitster App as explicit and we could skip them. Look forward to getting an extension pack! This is our new favorite game!

May I ask in which country you bought your game and what language it is in?
Wrong songs while scannig QR codes..
On the one hand the game seems very cool, I gave it to my sister and we played it for quite a long time with the whole family, but at some point we noticed that the QR codes were wrong in relation to the songs described on the card. If one card was wrong, I could understand, but there were a dozen wrong cards. We ended up having to type in the songs manually, which takes away from the fun and purpose of the whole game. Although the game seems to be fun, I would not recommend it due to the above mentioned errors.

We work with a technical partner who has built the technical platform and the app, and we have naturally set requirements so that the technology can handle many people playing at the same time. Unfortunately, there was a service disruption that caused the games not to work as they should, for which we can only deeply apologize. This should not happen and must not happen. As soon as we received information about the problem, our technicians started working on a solution and then worked on the issue from about 6:00 PM on Christmas Eve until 1:00 AM on Christmas Day night, when the operation could be restored. Since then, everything has worked normally.
We truly understand the disappointment where you surely looked forward to playing together during the disruption and we are terribly sorry for what happened. As soon as the problem was known, we posted information all over our website and on Instagram, informing about the issue and that we were working on a solution.
This is the first time in the years the game has been available that we have had a service interruption of this scale, and we have worked intensively around the clock with our technical partner since it occurred to find a solution to prevent this from happening again.
The purpose of the game is to spread joy to you and others - and generating the exact opposite feelings is the absolute last thing we want.

I see, thank you for the clarification! In that case and with the added information that you get the error message "the QR-code isn´t a QR-code from HITSTER", we have a better understanding of what might have caused the issue.
There are 2 fundamentally different versions of HITSTER: those sold in the Nordics and those sold in the rest of the world. The different versions come with their own app. The reason why they are different is due to licensing rights to the game. Now, if you for example buy a game that is meant for the international market, such as the German version but you live in let´s say Sweden, then you won´t find the app that works with your game in appstore/google play, only the app that works with the Nordic versions. This is a very unfortunate situation and to prevent this from happening retailers are not allowed to sell for example English games that are retailed in the UK to customers in the Nordics. However, there are instances where this happens nonetheless or in case a game as been bought abroad and brought back to for example Sweden or the other way around.
So, to the solution.
1. If you have a game with only ONE speaker element on the front and live in the Nordics, you need to temporarily change your appstore/google play to for example the UK, download the HITSTER-app that is developed for your game and change back the country setting again.
2. If you have a game with TWO speaker elements on the front and live outside the Nordics, you need to temporarily change your appstore/google play to for example Sweden, download the HITSTER-app that is developed for your game and change back the country setting again.

A journey through time, you really can experience some long-lost-favourites and mix them with music from today, this game is the perfect family-game but works also well with friends, of course! We really enjoyed the first rounds and are hooked 😆

Thank you - glad to hear that you enjoy it! Yes, the number of swedish songs in the original game is not a lot. This has however been fixed in the stand-alone expansion "förläng festen" that was released this summer. This version contains 300 extra songs of which around 100 are swedish hits.
