Simple process but a slightly misleading initial quotation figure IMO
1. The add on items after the initial quote are difficult to understand and rationalise. Particularly the one where the claim amount is limited (??, Basic, Full) where basic for Home was £1500 and Full was £1000000, implying that the home actually wasn't covered in the initial quote. 2. The acronyms on the alarm question were interesting, how is someone likely to know what the qualifications of the fitter were when buying a house? Its unlikely to be covered in the legal forms in my experience. 3. The layout of the initial questions is good, simple - well done to the designer. 4. I would add some simple, explanatory signposts as you transition the customer from the initial quote into the subsidiary questions section. 5. Overall, its relatively easy process and system but there is an element of trust in Axa required towards the end of the process (as mentioned earlier).

Competitive price, 2nd year better
In my 2nd year of my policy. In the the first I found it competitive, this year even more so as the premium went down, presumably as I made no claims. Date of experience is a guesstimate.

Highly recommend
I've been insured with home protect for years as they're the best for people working from home. I purchased home insurance for a house that was just about to complete, it fell through at the last minute and I needed to cancel the insurance. Thank you for making a stressful day a little bit easier. The web chat took minutes and I got a full refund, which cleared the next day and that was so helpful.

Homeprotect auto renewal
I have been insured with Homeprotect for 1 year now.
I've had no claims or any contact at all with them since taking my policy out last year.
I've just had an email auto renewing my policy by a substantial 120% increase to my policy cost with NO changes and NO explanation. This increase adds a substantial cost to my premium.
I suggest you should shop around and don't have an auto renewal policy with this company

Not impressed with the need to know questions and they're quick enough to take my money but I can't review my cover in normal human terms ,I would much prefer a basic overall recommendation to a basic safe and secure policy due to me and technology don't get on anymore.

Sent very worrying emails stating a new policy was starting and quoting a huge premium and saying I had agreed to. All untrue but reasonably helpful customer service woman tried to explain . Will think very carefully next time when I renew, probably with a new company

Easy to set up my policy
I have just set up a policy for an unoccupied property in joint names. So there was a lot of checking and rechecking to do! It was easy to access and edit my quote and the questions and supporting information were clear.
