Total scam
Total scam, these reviews have to be fake. CYNTHIA MORGAN STOLE $1300 from me then sent movers to my house that expected me to give them all of my possessions plus $8000 CASH! Um, OK, let me give all of my belongings and 8K to a stranger when THE LIAR AND SCAM ARTIST CYNTHIA MORGAN told me the move would cost $3800 of which I had already paid $1300! TOTAL SCAM! DON’T GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!!

This company takes your money and then leaves you to the wolves. I was ripped off for nearly $5,000.00 by Homesafe and their affiliate in New Jersey called Movement Pro Van Lines. Destroyed furniture, statues, etc. Filthy trucks. Use this organization and you will regret it forever. You can't pay by credit card, only cash or money order. If you could pay by credit card they would be out of business because every customer would be stopping payment due to their unethical, terrible business model. You've been warned, you're a bigger fool than I if you use Homesafe Transit.
This is FRAUDULENT company.
Homesafe Transit STOLE all of our belongings. It's a fraudulent company in Florida. Do NOT use or you may lose all your belongings as we did.
Please Beware
Please Beware. I don't want you to go through what they did to my elderly parents.
The price went from $3900 to over $8000. Our attempts to discuss with Homesafe was to no avail. Cynthia will scam you and then they will prey on your vulnerability.

Three reasons to AVOID HomeSafe Transit
1. HomeSafe purposefully underquotes you to secure your contract: I ended up paying 36% more than I was originally quoted - even though I didn’t end up bringing some of my biggest furniture items on the truck (two dressers, nightstands, and bookshelves). They have an incentive to underestimate how much space you will take up on a truck, so that they can outbid other moving companies and secure your initial deposit. This means that you will end up paying much more than the quote that HomeSafe gives you. Be prepared for an increase in thousands of dollars.
2. HomeSafe works with sketchy and unprofessional carriers: We were not given information about our carrier until the day they showed up. The carrier we were assigned has notoriously negative online reviews, which they lived up to in our experience. The carrier added on hundreds of dollars of unexpected fees, and the movers tried to make a deal with us that they would waive the fees if we tipped them directly. They also broke multiple pieces of our furniture.
3. HomeSafe’s customer support is unreliable and rude: After our totally unprofessional and disappointing moving experience, I tried multiple times over the course of weeks to reconcile the situation with HomeSafe’s customer support team. The staff was dismissive, rude, and eventually stopped answering our calls.
HomeSafe Transit is a fraudulent company that needs to be investigated by the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Reality Check!
Reality Check!
Reality Check!
For those who call HomeSafe Transit without doing any due diligence you will likely not know that you are decided disadvantaged from the outset. On the phone the sales agent will expound on all the virtues of their company and how much they care for your business. Now try reading their website legal page. Here are the highlights”
There are no refunds
You can cancel within 72 hours of booking however there is an 11% cancellation fee.
If your pick up is within 7 days of booking, then there is no refund
If you cancel after 72 hours of booking, HomeSafe will only give you a credit towards a future move that must be used within 12 months; you will never get your money back.
In signing the contract you waive your right to filing a lawsuit and may only use their Arbitration process.
If you make the slightest change to your contract they will rewrite it and likely increase charges that, again, they will not refund. If they made a mistake, they will rewrite the contract anyway saying it was not completed correct, even if it is their fault and increase the price. Example: They did not include the additional packing material for a washer/dryer and therefore must rewrite the contract and throw in a new charge for ‘Destination Fee’ a charge they state as cost of them finding a moving company which was not included on the initial binding contract. Isn’t that what they contract for?
Any funds HomeSafe has you pay on signing their binding contract is their profit. They do not pass along any of that to the carrier. The carrier receives their fees at pick up and delivery.
HomeSafe will tell you delivery is typically within 8 to 18 days. HOWEVER their Less Than Truck Load (LTL) carriers have additional stipulations:
• May store your goods unless you contract for “Exclusive use of the vehicle.” Several of HomeSafe’s contractors rent their truck and do not own them, hence your stuff will most likely be stored.
• State in their contract that they have 30 business days, which does not count holidays or weekends, or it could take 45 days or more to complete the move.
• Loss or damage claims will not be paid unless supported by proof of ownership, value and weight. Make sure that is written on your inventory list.
• All costs of the move must be paid prior to any insurance claim being processed.
• All loss or damage must be described on the destination inventory log.
• Note that insurance payout is limited to $0.60 per pound. Insist on the truck being weighed empty or weight prior to loading and then again after your goods are loaded. You can pay for replacement value, however the insurance company will lower the value based upon age and wear. Make sure you get coverage from you own homeowners insurance company.
• It is your responsibility to insure the inventory list adequately describes each item. Example: Not just a TV, but a 48 inch, high resolution digital Sony flat screen.
Bottom line, there are reliable moving companies available, HomeSafe is not one of them.
This morning the LTL HomeSafe hired…
This morning the LTL HomeSafe hired rolled the U-Haul truck my daughters furniture was in. Driver was non US citizen, only had an international drivers license. Was not DOT certified. The deliver within 18 days promised by Home Safe would have occurred at 47 days!! The goods never left the state they were packed up in. Only after the police were involved did the goods get packed up in a U-Haul truck and moved. This could have been done mush earlier. This is yet another demonstration of the vindictive, deceitful, deceptive and destructive operation run by this company. Probably can't prove it, but am of the firm opinion that they held up the goods because of the grief given them for last minute hiking of their price by 40% when they had my daughter over a barrel wherein she couldn't delay the move. Also their contract states that if cancelled they will not return the money but give you credit for a future move.
While this website gives mostly favorable reports on this company, please check out the other reviews on Yelp, Bing, Google and the BBB who has lowered them to an F. I have found a favorable report on their FB page from a guy who lives in the Dominican Republic! Sure you want to trust the BOT driven comments on this site??
What a nightmare
What a nightmare! I scheduled my out of state move with Homesafe Transit and was picked up on 7/9/2021. I was told this would take anywhere from 8-18 days. I’m on day 44 and still don’t have my stuff. Every time I call, they tell me a new date. What a terrible experience this has been. Not only are we on week 6 of not having our things, but we’ve been sleeping on floors and kids had to start new schools without all their belongings. This is 100% unacceptable.
DO NOT HIRED THEM
Ok first things first, DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! YOUR ITEMS(LIFE) WILL NEVER BE DELEVERED. You are paying them to rob you blind. This particular story starts a few months ago. I need to move from Indiana to Arizona. I browsed online and UNFORTUNALLY found these "people". After some conversation with them I decided to use them as a moving service. The trouble started when they came to pickup my belongings. The people that showed up immediately asked for cash to load my life into their truck. I was taken back by this and after some conversation and not being able to wait any longer to move. I caved in and gave them what they asked for, as I needed to be out of the house I was living in asap. NOW its more then 2 MONTHS later, I have called everyone I can in regards to where my personal belongings are. THEY HAVE NO IDEA where my stuff is. They no longer return my calls, they just ignore me now. So here I am trying to save people from this SCAM OF A BUSINESS. If you are looking for a moving company, PLEASE DONT USE THIS ONE. They will steal everything you have worked for and wont feel bad about it in the end.
Thank you again for helping Better Business Bureau protect others from scams.
Homesafe Transit was exactly what I…
Homesafe Transit was exactly what I needed for my move.
Professional and hard working movers! The movers insured my items were safely packed and moved! My items were handled with so much care, I felt the movers were treating my items as they would their own! Not only is homesafe transit affordable, the company professionally communicates all aspects of the estimate.
This was our third move in 4 years so…
This was our third move in 4 years so we have lots to compare to. This was by far the easiest, smoothest and most enjoyable move (actually the only enjoyable move). Our movers were super efficient and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. It was a pleasure to move with this crew and how often can you say that moving was a pleasure ?! Highly recommend !!!
The movers were on time and very…
The movers were on time and very professional.
They knew exactly how to carefully move things that were special and fragile. We had things loaded into a truck for out of state and things loaded for a storage unit. They were very efficient, especially when unloading the truck at the storage unit. Also, Emilia was very helpful.
I was lied too
I was lied too, price was jacked up 3 days before the move, then they did not show up on the day of completion, I was left in the lurch.
They then kept 11% of the deposit for doing nothing, am considering legal action for the deposit return and my extra out of pocket expenses incurred on the day of move
Very shady company that needs significant management review and change of practices
DO NOT HIRE THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY
DO NOT HIRE THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY
- ADDITIONAL FEES (>30% HIGHER THAN ESTIMATE): Homesafe Transit will give you a much lower quote than any other mover, but then charge $200-700 upon pick up and another $200-$700 upon drop off in additional unforeseen fees.
- NO TRACKING OF YOUR STUFF: Homesafe Transit does not keep tabs on where your belongings physically are during the move. They have a policy to check where your things are at least every 72 hours, but they DO NOT follow this. Homesafe Transit is not in contact with the 3rd party moving company that is actually moving your things. As a result you will have no idea where your stuff is/how long it will take to reach you.
- WILL BE *VERY LATE* TO ARRIVE: Their timing estimates are made up - and will change throughout the weeks they have your stuff. 7 days will become 14 days, which will become 14 *business days*, which will become 21 business days by law. Expect 21 business days from the start.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE IS USELESS, DISRESPECTFUL: Calling is useless. 75% of the time they simply won't answer. The other 25% of the time, a boy named Jonathan (who constantly sounds like he is crying for some reason) will hang up on you. His bosses, Cassandra and Eric, are no more helpful. They know nothing, you will get zero answers. They will blame the 3rd party movers and insult you.
- The reason you don't see MORE BAD REVIEWS is that they'll offer $100 at the end of the process if sign a non-disclosure agreement. This is after charging you $400-1400 ABOVE your initial estimate throughout the move. I was originally offered a $500 refund, which was rescinded days later in favor of the $100 non-disclosure agreement (another case of Customer Service not knowing/making up policies on the spot)
Scammers! Don’t use!
I signed up to have Homesafe move me from Washington to Idaho. They required a $1700 deposit which I paid. Within a couple hours I decided to go with another company. I had read several reviews and complaints on the Better Business Bureau’s website. As per their contract, I notified Homesafe that I was canceling their services in writing. I was told I would get my deposit back within 10 business days. I waited those 10 business days and did not receive my money back. On business day 12 I called the company and was told my file didn’t get closed properly and they would need an additional 7 business days to get my refund back to me. I told them the error was an internal error and that it should not delay my getting my money back. It has now been six business days and I still haven’t received my money. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I have never dealt with such a crooked company. Don’t use their services unless you want to be scammed!
Don't trust them your time and money.
The offered me a complete moving service.
I paid in advance like 30% of the total cost as a deposit.
They booked the moving for Nov 27.
And in that same day the company assigned to my moving named "Oasis" called me to let me know that they could not make it that day. I was really bad because I had everything ready for that day!
I called Homesafe and their office was closed I imagine because it was black Friday, so no one answered my calls and emails . So no one helped me.
Why schedule movings in a day you can't support your customer?
So the assigned movers Oasis moved the date to Saturday 28 and I accepted and they did not show up and called full of excuses again at 6pm to try to reschedule for Monday.
I simply couldn't continue getting that bad service.
And told them to not show up anymore, I can't have my moving on a Monday.
On Sunday 29 finally Eric from Homesafe's dispatch answered my email, didn't helped me, he was on the movers side.
I asked for a refund of my deposit because they didn't keep their word. They scheduled on Friday and the guys never showed up.
He denied my refound stating that I had direct agreement with the movers and moved the dates and then I refused the service, but no they called me to inform they were not going to be there in Friday!! I did not reschedule anything it was them.
I could not receive the movers on a Monday!
So at the end Eric was very rude he denied my refound and hung up on me.
They haven't answered any emails or calls anymore.
Too many movers calling!
I got a call not to long after I was online and my rep was very informative I ended up using a Uhual but I have to applaud them they are very very knowledgeable and helpful.
