Epc gaff
Epc man came into property whilst prospective tenants were clearly there. At the end of a very noisy period crashing about in the loft and instead of taking the opportunity to talk to me outside, he proceeded to gabble at me about my loft insulation being inadequate - only 3 inches thick and should be 12. The bills would be so much lower etc etc etc. I was genuinely unaware of this, having never been in the loft, and indeed this is what an EPC us for. However I don't want to be accused and embarrassed in front of would be customers as it were. Has this man no social skills? Why not ask the owner to speak to you outside! Give them an opportunity to sort out the problem privately. The property isn't actually illegal as it stands! Though I will rectify. Won't be using this company again for fear I get allocated this guy again!

Surveyor should think before they speak!
We were having an epc for a buy to let mortgage, chap who came around told tennant's that we must be selling the property, subsequently we got a phone call on Christmas Day from our tennant's ( a young family) asking us if we were selling (we aren't) they must have been worrying for 5 days before phoning us, maybe surveyor should get more information before assuming!! If the tennant's had started looking for a new property his wrong information could have cost us a lot of money!!
