We appreciate the feedback and we're happy you were able to get a last minute dumpster using Hometown Dumpster Rental! We agree... it's best to rent a dumpster several days in advance because most local haulers will have already set their schedules and may not be available last minute. Previously, customers that needed a same day or next day delivery would have to call around to several haulers to find one that is available. Hometown Dumpster Rental has solved this problem and saves a lot of time and hassle by doing a fast and automated "availability check" with all of the dumpster companies serving your city, allowing us to quickly discover those companies with availability to meet your last minute request.

Thank you for the feedback. We're glad you were able to get your dumpster quickly, the same day you requested. That's one of the strengths of Hometown Dumpster Rental's system, allowing you to check availability for a same day or next day delivery from many haulers at once and find one with last minute availability. We're sorry the pickup didn't happen on the day you requested and for the inconvenience of having a dumpster in your driveway over Easter. We will investigate what happened here. In the future, if you need the dumpster to be out of your space, it's definitely worth reaching out to your service provider in advance to let them know what you need. Most service providers will work with you to meet a hard pickup date if they know your situation.

Thanks for the review, Patrick! We're happy you found booking a dumpster with a locally owned service provider through Hometown Dumpster Rental a better experience than using Waste Management. WM is a good company, but they are huge... so it's difficult to get the same level of personal service when renting a dumpster. With a locally owned dumpster company, you're often talking directly with an owner when you make customer service requests. Along with better customer service, our nationwide pricing data shows Hometown Dumpster Rental's local haulers are usually $50 to $100 cheaper than WM for most dumpster rentals.

Hi David. We're sorry for your poor experience. This was a case where a staff member for your service provider was confused and submitted you an incomplete quote. We expect 100% accurate pricing. Hometown Dumpster Rental has thousands of service providers nationwide and most have saved their pricing on the site and we help them double check those prices for accuracy. Your service provider has not yet saved their pricing and they submitted you a one-time quote. For some reason the staff member that submitted the quote to you did not include the full price, even though they are clearly instructed to do so on the quote request. Normally, if the customer cancels their booking there is a 5% cancellation fee. In this case, the cancellation was clearly not your fault and we have refunded the remaining 5% cancellation fee, bring your refund to 100%. Again, we're very sorry for the hassle.

Hi John. We apologize if there was any confusion about what could be placed in the dumpster before you booked it. We'll modify our order process to make sure those instructions are more clear going forward. When you rent a dumpster specifically for yard waste... other types of waste like general trash and construction debris cannot be mixed in. The reason is that general trash and green waste need to be dumped in separate locations. Landfills for general trash generally do not accept green waste, so the hauler needs a clean load of green waste. Other items like hazardous wastes and chemicals are never allowed in the dumpster for the same reason. They cannot be lawfully dumped at the landfill with general trash.
