Beware!
I paid for an engineer to visit in order to seek help with a poor internet signal. I was advised to get a Starlink and then pay £900 for Homevision engineers to ensure the signal went everywhere in the house.
I paid 50% deposit in good faith.
I got Starlink connected and then found that’s all I needed. The signal goes across the house and I did not need extra work done.
The advice I received from Home vision was wrong.
They gave refused to give my £450 deposit back. It’s “non refundable”.
I have appealed to Homevision because I acted in their advice. They have refused to
give me my money back.
Well so far so good. I needed a survey carried out as we would like a 65" TV fitted to the wall but one that we could swing out to suit our viewing angle. I had no idea who to turn to so I contacted Home vision and they arranged an appointment for this morning. One of their engineers came out by the name of MW, sorry was it Mike or Mark, my bad but it was job J571148, he was excellent, gave me all the info I needed, so much so I have now ordered the TV and have booked the fit for next week. Its so refreshing to meet an engineer who is polite, knowledgeable and does not try and bamboozle you with techy stuff. Top man, so far i would highly recommend Home Vision and will update once it is fitted.
Be careful with this company. They take bookings with no intention of turning up. Home vision didn't show up 4 times to install a Starlink receiver. Each time they said their engineer has been delayed on another job. I can believe that when it happens once, but when the same thing happens 4 times in a week then you know the kind of company you are dealing with and one you don't want to trust in your home.
Really poor experience - nothing got sorted; paid them for a callout of ~£120 for them to essentially quote me on what someone else told me was a small job (both in terms of labour and materials) for OVER £1300! Had no choice but to pay them for attending too.
Spend a lot of time getting you to book and arranging the engineers - but the engineer himself was an utter cowboy. Don't use.
We called for an engineer after our TV ariel ceased to function -no signal immediately following guttering replacement. When the engineer arrived and examined the situation he described the problem was due to age of the ariel. When we asked for an explanation as to how the ariel suddenly stopped functioning due to the roofer's intervention, he said he did not know, he was not there. We paid him for putting back the ariel, which has no signal to consider our options. Be aware they charge by the hour, even if time is taken by a confusing explanation! Not recommended.
Phoned on the day to say engineer has gone home early and can’t replace them. Luckily they offered to help out by re-booking a week later. Shocking you can’t even pay people over the odds for a job these days. World has gone mad.
Came over and checked our aerial and tried to charge us for things we dont need and in the end had to pay £100+ for call out charge and nothing was sorted. Not happy. Would not go back to this company again although staff was friendly.
I had a good experience from the Home Vision engineer, Andrew, today. He arrived at my house only a few hours after I'd called, did the testing and then knew exactly what was needed to get two TVs connected and tuned in.
It was all sorted within an hour, and Andrew had to go into the loft in temps of 35c in my house -- where it was even hotter.
I've no idea if the charge of £60 to supply and install a booster box is a fair price. Once the engineer is here and has done the diagnostics, you want the job done and don't have time to check the price of parts. Apart from not knowing if I've been 'ripped off' with the price of the booster, I'm pleased that the job is done and I now have two fully working TVs -- sorted efficiently, and with an interesting conversation about the way the future of TV is going thrown in.

Had a free quote in Cambridge and this guy was just unprofessional. Came across patronising and didn't help me understand the technicalities at all. I'm new to Cambridge and his tone was like, "Do you know Sandy? Do you not know Sandy? I meant Sandy Heath!" When we called we were offered a same-day installation but when he arrived he refused to assess the loft for installation, claiming it was too hot (fair enough) but then he berated the call centre for "sitting around in air-conditioned rooms and not knowing what they're doing". When asked for a quote he said "it depends on if you are getting other quotes" and my response was that I really want it to be installed asap, and he just joked and quoted me £1000, then laughed as if it was some advice for me to get quotes from other providers. Will take his advice in this case. It would be useful if he could learn some basic sales technique as a baseline for his job.
Excellent service from Brian the engineer!!! Cannot recommend Home Vision enough.
Called in the morning and shortly after a new arial was installed that same day.
I would give this company a no star rating they charged me nearly £300 to replace lmb on satelite dish the part only costs about £20 on amazon they didnt quote before installing please use someone else they are just theives
´Engineer´ replaced my roof aerial and when he tried the TV again, it was the same poor signal. He then found the real reason for my poor signal was the pin was broken in the wall socket, about 2 metres from the TV. The charge was 299 and the paperwork did not mention the fact that the socket was replaced. When the company was contacted to try to get some of the 299 back, they have obfuscated and denied any mistake by their ´engineer´. So, a new socket costs about 6 quid has cost me 299!
OUTSTANDING, OUTSTANDING OUTSTANDING!
From the moment I called and booked same day call out, the Customer Service given was exceptional.
Harry was the technician who fitted both my cameras with solar panels.
I received an Extremely Professional Friendly Service.
Harry was great and very patient whilst my rubbish wifi was trying to connect, he ensured my cameras were correctly angled and I was happy with the end result. Brilliant!
Highly recommended, Professional, speedy and Reliable, with Great Customer Service.
I will definitely use this company again. Would highly recommend.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My old tv aerial sudenly became dislodged this morning and was very unsafe. I used the live chat option at 7am this morning to request an engineer to remove it. I was hugely surprised to have a follow-up phone call a few minutes later, which confirmed how much the charge would be. The visit was arranged around my availability and the engineer checked that I was happy with the quoted price before proceeding. I would definitely recommending this company based on the response time and clarity of pricing.
Friendly very good wont use anyone else in the future
Was very happy with everything that was done for me. Lovely Andy came out same day and explained everything as being mid 70s know zero about technology. He was very professional and tidied all the old stuff up.Thankyou very much.
Had my TV hung on the wall by Andy. He was great, and did a great job. Would highly recommend. Price on the phone was around £50 cheaper than what I paid but just pleased that I had the job done.
James was really helpful and sorted our free view connection and tidying up. Made television and sound bat were working correctly and identified that our supposedly new free view box purchased at Argos was actually a return ! Everything worked just fine
Engineer attended today, I paid the call out fee, he gave me a quotation of £273.60 to replace my aerial.
I said no thank you as I think this is very high.
The engineer left and I get a call from Robbie in the office to see why I never went ahead and said the cost was only £179 +vat.
I told Robbie the engineer gave me a different amount and this is a big RED FLAG for this company!
Please do not use them
I feel ripped off as was told I needed a new aerial and it took them 20 minutes to install and I was charged £750!
