Being able to get funds so I could move before final sale
Upon the resale of my home I was suppose to get a second check for the remaining funds. They sold my house on 9/16 and as of 10/3 the wire has still not reached my bank. Additionally, I had to keep the utilities in my name until they sold the house and what they wanted in repair costs kept changing.

The communication was really good. They were flexible and helpful and easily reachable. I never had difficulty getting information from Homeward.

This was a great program for my wife and I. We knew the home we bought via homeward was not going to last on the market for long. So this was a great way for us to move across country and know where we were going to be living. The team is above and beyond in terms of communication and making sure that everything is running smoothly. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to move especially in areas where the market still moves quickly.
They backed out of the deal after we moved out of the home. They didn't care that we had to move two kids and 4 pets out in 14 days. The CEO Tim Heyl said he would help us but then never replied to any more emails when we asked for help. They have no compassion and are not trustworthy.
They overpromised and under-delivered and abandoned communication in this critical hour. Even reached out to the corporate execs which also left all parties with crickets. Don't use these guys
Homeward enabled me to be a cash buyer and get the home of my dreams. So pleased with my experience.
Homeward made us an offer and we agreed to move out of our home in 14 days. We moved out and then Homeward backed out of the agreement. We are screwed. We are put money and we now have go register our home. This was the worst thing that could happen and we now have two mortgages because of Homeward. DONT TRUST THEM!
Went with Homeward. My house Closed on 4/30. Today is 5/6 and the only communication has been when I reached out to them and they responded that it takes 2-5 days to calculate proceeds. That was 5 days ago. Nothing since. There is not a Standard Business Calculation in the World today that takes longer than the time required to enter the data to process. Everything should have been ready for the closing. Bottom Line - No Communication, No money. Closed 4/30, still waiting.
Homeward was convenient accommodating and informative
We didn't have any problems with homeward, our problems were with our agent. If we would have had a better agent we probably would have had sold it sooner and for more. We were very pleased with Homeward.

We honestly can not tell you to run from Homeward fast enough. We do not understand how they have so many high star good reviews, they must buy reviews and/or delete the bad ones. We can’t be the only ones with truly a horrible experience.
Yes, we knew there was a gamble in taking this route to sell our home but had no idea Homeward would take every opportunity to take advantage of us.
-We were adamantly told by Homeward and the contracted realtor assigned. That not only would our house sell quickly but for the top dollar amount they offered based on their expertise. They lowered the price without consulting us and also ended up accepting a contract on our home without negotiating with us. Which we were told we’d be part of this process. They accepted an offer $30K lower than what they said they could sell it for and originally listed the house for. Also took them 99 days to sell the house.
-Our Closing was significantly delayed because we needed to pause to catch up with the house we were buying. However, no one ever informed us if we didn’t close as originally scheduled, we’d have to wait 11 more days to close due to they don’t do closings during the end of the month. This caused significant problems with the house we were buying and resulted in having to do business and paperwork while we drove 2200 miles to our new home. Very inconvenient and not the kind of paperwork you want to be signing on your phone. Had we knew they wouldn’t do closings at that time we would have kept our original closing date. Also, ended up having to close with Homeward on our kitchen island with movers swarming everywhere due to the delay.
-Homeward spent $6K in repair costs when we signed a contract stating $0 were needed to repair our home. This was deducted from our final amount owed. We were never told repairs were being done or asked.
-Our fire alarms were sounding for over 24hrs. Realtor agency as well as the realtor were notified. Took them over 24 hrs to get to the house to rectify and establish everything was ok. Mind you, you are still responsible even though you no longer own the house because you carry the insurance policy should the house burn to the ground or anything else happens.
-Final closing was delayed and we had to contact the realtor to find out. We wanted to confirm before canceling insurance and utilities.
-Homeward will pad their out of pocket with the line item adjustment/listing cost adjustment for your final payment even though you are charged a significant fee in this category when you do your original closing. We are talking $1,000’s…
-We were told we’d receive funds for the final payment day of closing, it took Homeward 13 days to fund and having to ask several times for them to send the payment.
We had many other issues but these are the top ones and most significant.
The purchase of my property went smoothly from start to finish. The team was always accessible to provide assistance. Their agents exhibit patience and care, making every effort to promptly resolve any issues. I commend the entire team for creating an excellent selling experience. I highly Homeward!
