Thanks for the feedback - the plan does come with a $100 deductible which is industry standard. We do have a no deductible plan however replacement allowances are more limited on that plan and selection of coverage would be a la carte. If you wish to discuss your options, please reach out to us.

The overall claim process was terrible

The overall claim process was disappointing. Establishing a claim itself was easy. Your company's acknowledgment of my submission of the details of my claims was time consuming and frustrating. I submitted emails on one claim 3 times, and every time I followed up with a call to confirm receipt of those emails, the representative said they never received my emails. It wasn't until I contacted the selling agent of the warranty that I received some actual help with the process.

I also find it rather misleading that your warranty literature doesn't detail the limits of claim coverage upfront. My cost of repair was $1,575, yet your company only covered $1,000.

The claim payout process was also confusing at best. Had a heck of a time getting my bank to confirm the printed paper check was valid. Why not offer direct electronic deposit to a checking account without requiring an account and taking 3-4% of the funds transferred?

So many opportunities for improvement. I will never purchase a home warranty product again from any company as a result of this experience.

Thanks for the feedback - we do provide the limits for the evaporator coil replacement on page 3 of your terms and conditions and you were given the maximum amount listed. We regret the frustration over not receiving the emailed HVAC records - we did attempt multiple times to locate them but they did not appear to be received on our end.

Unhappy Camper

Every time I have had to replace an appliance, Home Warranty will only offer $325 even though the last three appliances were over 20 years old and obsolete. After I complain they will come back with an offer of $500. This is unacceptable, and I am cancelling my policy.

Sorry to hear you are less than satisfied. We did find several claims where we paid more than that amount (dishwasher, stove, washer). With the level of plan you have, if parts are not available, we give an estimated cost of repair based on comparable parts to take towards new. There are higher levels of plans with higher payouts should you wish to transition to those.

It was a struggle

The assistance I received was a fraction of the actual replacement cost. The payout barely made a dent in the expense and left me responsible for the overwhelming majority of the bill.

The entire experience felt designed to minimize the company's responsibility rather than provide meaningful coverage. The marketing creates the impression that major systems are protected, but when a major failure actually occurs, exclusions, limitations, depreciation calculations, and payout caps seem to do most of the work.

The claims process was frustrating, communication was slow, and the final result left me questioning why I had paid for the warranty in the first place. When homeowners buy a home warranty, they expect peace of mind. Instead, I was left with a failed air conditioner, thousands of dollars in unexpected costs, and a reimbursement amount that was nowhere near what was needed to resolve the problem.

In my experience, the home warranty provided very little value when I needed it most. I would strongly encourage homeowners to carefully read the fine print, understand the coverage limits, and compare the annual cost of the warranty against simply putting money into a dedicated home repair savings account.

We regret you are less than satisfied. The actual failed part on your AC was the compressor which we listed out at max reimbursement in our terms and conditions. Since you elected to do a full system replacement, you are responsible for the price difference between the maximum part repair allowance and the full cost. We cover the actual failed part up to the maximum outlined in the agreement.

Worst Service ever

The company (TipTop Appliance) picked to do assist with my washer and dryer claim was the worst experience I've had in 8 years of coverage of my Home Warranty Insurance
The man from the person from TipTop Appliance came out the same day June 11,2026 completed a diagnostic test and requested parts for both appliances. I called Too Too Appliance on Wed to inquire on when the parts would be available, he came out the same day June 17,2026 and repaired parts . On a Thursday I washed to loads of clothes. In Friday I went to wash and dry my 4 rd load and the washer was back of balance giving me the same error and my dryer is not having trouble getting hit but making screeching noises like a cat that was not happening before.
I don't understand how a repair to improve appliances is now worst.
I strongly suggest Home Warranty vet their selection in businesses to partner with to perform services in their behalf.
I will be calling Home Warranty first thing Monday morning.

You only covered the cost of an obsolete part. Entire system had to be replaced.
“Preferred” contractor was shady. Quoted 8500, became 9500. Drove in lawn w/o asking and damaged yard and broke irrigation system.
Switched level of replacement w/o approval. When original work was requested, he threatened to increase billing and would not honor quote.
Horrible experience.

We also covered $500 towards the replacement of the non-failed portion to bring into R410A compatibility because you had Enhanced. We are following up with the contractor regarding the additional comments. This is the first complaint we have received.
