I dislike that the online payment is mandatory, and I have to send this option to my clients. I have direct deposit and e-transfer clients who do not want to pay via credit card. It's a hassle to send them the invoice, as well as a PDF version.
It isnt intuitive to use at all. I thought my invoices were setup to be streamlined and they aren't and now I have to do everything manually. I was sent here to use this platform by my mentor and I am having a hard time navigating everything. To me it would be easier to just have google form sign up links and follow up with venmo payment. Honestly.
Cautiously Evaluate Before Committing
I’ve been a HoneyBook user for some time, but with the recent price increases, I’m finding it harder to justify the investment. The platform has undergone several updates and changes, but unfortunately, many of them have made the user experience more complicated rather than improved.
While change is expected with growing platforms, the lack of accessible customer support and limited educational resources has made the transition frustrating. For a service marketed as user-friendly, I expected more guidance and hands-on assistance—especially considering the premium cost.
If you’re considering HoneyBook, I recommend evaluating how much support and ease of use you need before committing, as these areas have been lacking in my recent experience.
Honeybook allows me to run my business smoothly and helps keep me on track. The reminders/notifications and automations are all super helpful as an ADHD entrepreneur. It has almost everything that I need to run my coaching, consultation and training business. The only thing I'd like to see differently is being able to more easily manage groups. The customer support is quick and helpful. They are also constantly improving and adding new features.
The price keeps going up regardless of the amount of features that I don’t need. there should be different teirs for basic, medium and advanced users.
I’m only still using it because it’s too much trouble to start with something else but eventually, I will switch to something cheaper because I can’t justify that continuous huge price jumps
Honestly I like the service however almost $600 is wildly overpriced for what I am receiving. My website was not this much, I renewed because I have people in there right now but will likely pull my services next year.
We've just begun using HoneyBook, but so far, it has already streamlined our processes considerably. Our staff and clients find it easy to use, and it's fantastic for knowing what revenue is coming our way, so it simplifies our budgeting. So far, we highly recommend it!
I've been with Honeybook since 2019 (I believe) and did try to leave this year because of the price increase. However, I stayed because of how user friendly it is. With that said. I am missing so many features that would push your platform to the top and then I would never consider leaving. We need some sort of email list management in the system. If I could send out all of my campaign emails with more tracking options and automated follow up emails, I would be a happy lady! Batch emails is fine but very limiting. Then I could get ride of other subscriptions I hold.
I also wish there were more trigger options for automations. I'd love a "midway through project" automation so I could send midway invoice easier. That would be so amazing!
Overall, I'm a long term customer and could use some small upgrades that would allow me to get rid of other subscriptions and justify the new pricing.
I hope that makes sense and I'm happy to elaborate for the good service providers who love HB.
I have been using honeybook for over a year and I LOVE IT. The contract templates and ability to send, sign and pay all in one place is extremely convenient.
some of clients are having a hard time opening proposals I think
I have been a customer for a very long time, and I was not able to receive the discount that I have maintained for a long time.
I like the automated billing and ability to configure automatic email reminders. I thought I was getting a bookkeeping solution, though, as I am trying to replace Quickbooks. Also I signed up with the understanding that I had a 7 day trial, but upon logging in I was prompted to enter my payment information. I did that and was immediately charged. I felt duped about that.
I love all of the features that even the basic package offers. It helps me run my business very smoothly from payments to inquiry forms to client contacts and more.
I absolutely love this as my CRM platform and will not be changing any time soon. I did have to hire a HoneyBook Pro to make any sense of it, so beware of that (first time using a CRM).
It's 4 stars because the price has nearly doubled over the past few years. Unexpected and no notifications for renewals. Just beware that the first year pricing will be vastly different from future years!
I enjoy the professional upgrade HoneyBook brings to my business. We were already organized but the addition of the client portal just really takes things to the next level while improving organization. I am very pleased with the ease of use and will recommend to my clients.
Very easy to use and navigate. The invoicing and credit software make my job a breeze
Honeybook’s support team is solid. I’ve done okay using the tools to organize my projects, especially after spending a substantial amount of time setting up templates. As someone who doesn’t use it daily, the monthly cost feels too high. I even stopped taking payments through Honeybook because I was losing too much to fees. I wish there were a low-cost plan (something like $10/month) for users who only need it occasionally. I’m sticking with it for now because I’ve put in so much setup time, but I’m not thrilled with the value.
HoneyBook stands out far above other software I've used in the past to organize and manage my coaching business, both in their product and in their customer service! I've only been using it for a few days, but I can see the momentum this great product will provide as fuel to my business as I continue to grow in the future.
Just getting started with HoneyBook and so far so good
