They sent me a tracking number that took me to usps tracking..usps never received the package and said it was an invalid tracking number..I never received my package and can't track it..what a bunch of idiots at horizon hobby..it been two weeks and they won't tell me where my package is..Shop at Amain hobbies..real people, no chat excuses and you'll get your order..I called my credit card company to deny the charges because nobody knows where the item is..

I have bought 3 RC airplanes from HH. 2 have had serious problems out of the box. The Super Timber had warped wings. Getting HH to cover it was like pulling teeth but they did replace the wings (without graphics). I got them 7 months later. Turbo Timber Evo was a trainwreck from go. It took off, flipped over and crashed hard. Since it is past 30 days they won't do anything.
Do yourself a favor and avoid Horizon Hobby.

I pre-ordered an Aston Martin Scale model months ago . A message came through a week ago that the package had been delivered but I never saw somthing arriving . Tried to mail Horizon but to no avail , unreachable and no reply . Tracking says it's been delivered so no appeal possible. Money lost. What a scam ! Do not buy from these guys , non-reliable site !
Excited for a Fresh Start with the Night Radian 2.0m BNF Basic
I’m genuinely excited and eagerly anticipating the arrival of my brand new, high-quality Night Radian 2.0m BNF Basic motor glider. Reflecting on my journey so far, I realize how much I’ve learned since first diving into the RC flying hobby. When I was just starting out, I didn’t fully understand the differences between the various versions available, and I accidentally purchased the PNP (Plug-N-Play) version of the Night Radian back in October 2024 from Horizon Hobby. At the time, I didn’t realize that the PNP model doesn’t include a receiver—and, to make matters more complicated, I didn’t even own a Spektrum transmitter!
In my efforts to get airborne, I ended up salvaging an AR637TA receiver to make it work. Unfortunately, my inexperience caught up with me, and after a particularly rough crash, I had to part ways with that first glider just yesterday. The experience was a tough lesson, but it’s also made me even more enthusiastic about starting fresh with the correct BNF (Bind-N-Fly) version this time around.
Now, with a better understanding of what I need and a renewed sense of excitement, I’m truly looking forward to enjoying the hobby with a top-notch aircraft that’s ready to go right out of the box. Here’s to new beginnings and smoother flights ahead!

Update 7.9.2025 Got a call from Horizon Hobby and they are sending new tail feathers for the SUS airplane
Thank you and it really helps a lot to know a company will stand behind their products!
First beginner plane was the Aereoscout and the left wing ail servo doing the jitterbug 20' in the air until nose dive into the ground.
Second plane is the SUS 1.2m and it arrived with damaged aileron (left wing) and the tail feathers are twisted to the left. Nothing but crickets from HH so far..
It’s so sad I grew up financially restricted and I could not afford remote control aurokanes . So now build them for people and my payment is equipment and materials to simply build More!
I had a charge to show up and contacted this bunch. I got to chat with Michael D, who had to be the rudest person I have ever dealt with in any customer service. I am sure I wasn't the friendliest either, especially when he kept saying, as stated above in my chat. Horizon Hobby, if you want to keep business, I hope you will look at the chat or contact me and let me send you a copy. As far as I am concerned, he cost you a customer due to his smart mouth.

Im Scott Dowda I mentioned my full name, cause I want this organization to know. On one hand, Horizon Hobby is freaking pretty awesome on the other hand .I havee been a loyal customer to Horizon Hobby for years have spent thousands of dollars with them, God forbid you place a wrong order contact them within two minutes of that order asking them to adjust it their best answer they have not shipped the items obviously is they cannot however when I receive the item, I can spend the money to have it shipped back to these assholesI will this one time. I'll never have that problem in the future could go yourself.

I ordered an item that said in stock and then all of a sudden it's on back order because someone was as the customer service guy said quicker on the mouse it ruined a birthday it ruined my day then he had the balls to tell me that it's a super expensive to have software that live updates the inventory bullshit it is. I will never shop there again they don't care about anything but money No one even sent me an email to say it was on back order they just left me in the lurch

Absolutely insulting and ridiculous shipping. On the website and at checkout Horizon Hobby outlines 3 to 5 days for their shipping service include in the purchase. No where do they clearly disclose that it can be up to 20 days for an order to arrive after they shipped it because of their cheap service contract with FedEx.

Ive been a dedicated Horizon Hobby and spektrum user, have spent thousands of dollars to support my hobby Thru these two companies.
I have a NX10 that I screwed up in updating and file transfer. I sent it in and they fixed it and turned it around in 5 business days. I received good communication and dealt with a man named Craig.
Really happy with this guys
Putrid customer service. They love them some lyin'. Go through your local hobby store instead.

Can't get through to tech on phone. Tried chat. Not working. Message get back to you in 48hrs. My advice don't buy anything horizon hobby makes. For very very poor technical support. Finally got back to me. Simple fix not in instructions. Go figure.

So Horizon Hobby not only goes out of their way to assist beginning pilots, they basically have paved the way for how remote controlled companies should be ran.
There are a multitude of horror stories out there from an RC aircraft, boat, & surface machine standpoint when it comes to the buying/learning process. Horizon Hobby takes the guessing & ignorance out of everything. They give such detailed instructions and assistance that it makes purchasing anywhere else seem un-ideal.
I started this hobby purchasing from a HORRIBLE company called BananaHobby.com. They would get negative stars if that were possible but Horizon Hobby assisted me with fixing Banana Hobby's screw ups and even though I still have not been able to fly anything bought from Banana Hobby, Horizon has been able to provide me with valuable information that will make the other company's planes obsolete. Horizon Hobby cares about their customers and it shows when visiting their website. Thank You Horizon for all of the dedication and hard work. It shows and your company will undoubtably grow beyond any of the competitions.
Horizon Hobby is a joke!!!! You can't call them because it says they are having issues. Chat now is a bot. Absolutely terrible customer service. I have been waiting since at least November of 2024 for some Athearn parts to come back into stock. They just keep pushing the available by date back. It is now May. I doubt it but will keep my fingers crossed.

Horizon hobby/Tower hobbies is a dealer of Broadway limited import. I put a pre-order 5/24/2024, after waiting for almost a year they just canceled my order without any explanation. That is the first time I have experienced so bad a business can did. Will not buy anything from them.

Been trying to contact for tech support , two days later , can't call says they are experiencing problems , can't email it won't let me send it , vitual support does not let you talk to the tech it wants you to email . Dead ends !!

Absolutely terrible experience. I purchased an rc plane and transmitter from tower hobbies (which I now know is owned by horizon). I ended up cancelling that order after waiting 10 days and it didn’t ship then after waiting an hour for “Bob” with Horizon Hobby customer service to answer. This guy is in the wrong business. 2 days later I see a debit from my bank account from horizon hobby for the same order as if I purchased the same order from horizon hobby. What the heck is going on here!? I never placed the order again. I called Bob back and waited another hour on the phone and he said it wasn’t his problem and that I shouldn’t have ordered it twice. After coming unglued over the phone and him hanging up on me he called back with an RMA number. I just waited another hour for Horizon Hobby customer service to see why after 15 days of receiving my rma that I haven’t received the refund and guess who answered!? Yup! Friggin Bob! This guy loves to piss people off! He said that it may take 10 days to see a refund but, I should just wait until the department receiving the rma’s gets around to it. He offered to email the department then retracted that offer. I asked him to go ahead and send the email, then he replied that he would get in trouble for sending the email to check on the status. Bob will get in trouble for helping a customer Horizon Hobby!? Seriously!? I’m copy/pasting this review everywhere Horizon Hobby. Do better
