The Elite Membership is a great deal especially if you are a veteran. Veterans get a discount right away then with the discount coupons the membership pays for it self after a purchase of around $200. I hold off making major purchases until after renewing my membership. With 20 points per dollar spent 2000 points = $5 I save a lot on replacement parts.

Well, I am an Elite Member now and have been for 4 years. This membership is worth the extra few dollars spent because it allows me special privileges and deals on products at an increased discount. Every company has room to improve including Horizon Hobby. However, this Club Membership only has one area I can see that needs to be Improved. That would be issuing tracking numbers by email as soon as a order ships. Let's face it most company's do this for online orders. Horizon Hobby use to be great about doing this until the system change. I understand Horizon Hobby wants customers to use their local Hobby Shops but being a elite club member has no points benefit by purchasing thru let's say Hobbytown for example. If this could happen then maybe I would drive the hour to purchase planes and parts from them. This elite club membership also gives me an Elite Loyalty Team member Joseph C who helps to resolve any issues and gives advice on upgrades or modifications. Joseph has been awesome and has been above and beyond helpful to my RC journey. Having the Elite Loyalty Team is the best benefit of the membership besides the increased points and special offers. Also to mention is the club membership packages sent every year. The swag package included a hat, sunglasses, backpack with water bottle an coffee mug and a Christmas tree Draco and a cool RC Christmas tree car.
I have been an RC hobbyist for some time and have had many experiences with ordering from on-line vendors. In the past it was a 50-50 proposition that my order would arrive in a timely manner and be correct.
Horizon has undergone some recent changes, and in my opinion, for the better. Their offering of a diverse rc experience is great and their support has been a welcome positive change. I became a member of their elite membership and have totally been happy with Horizons attentive attitude. My orders arrive in two to three days. If I have a issue or concern I email or phone horizon and so far have received a quick and timely response. I continually get updates on new products. Overall I am happy to be dealing with a supportive and professional vendor such as Horizon.

I have been an elite customer for 4 years and the customer service I have received has been outstanding. Every issue I have brought to their attention has been dealt with promptly and professionally and when the issue was related to broken/damaged items received, they have sent replacement items within hours and with essentially they required no no explanation.

I have been using Horizon Hobby since I became involved in flying radio control model aircraft in 2019.
Since then, I have purchased over 20 planes, three transmitters, and numerous batteries other products from them without any regrets. My radio control flying club also exclusively uses their products to train student pilots due to the reasonable cost, reliability, and quality of products. Have there been manufacturer's defects with some products? Sure, however the customer service staff has ALWAYS been responsive and timely to my communications, and have always been fair and made-good on any issues.
When Horizon Hobby began their Elite Club Membership, I was one of the first to purchase Elite membership as it was obvious that the benefits far exceeded the cost. As an Elite member, I receive free two-day shipping on all purchases, extra points on all purchases (which helps me to get reduced prices on future purchases), direct phone support with my Elite customer service representative, and other benefits. The direct phone support is especially valuable as it allows you to develop the same kind of business relationship you would have with a local hobby shop staff.
Horizon Hobby's products, prices, and customer service has definitely advanced the hobby of flying radio control model airplanes, and I encourage you to use them for your purchases.
I've ordered over 15 planes from Horizon Hobby and all have arrived on time as promised. I had one warranty claim and the plane was replaced. I've sent radios and receivers in for repair. All done promptly and I was kept up to date as to when I would get them back. The receiver was toast and HH replaced it at no cost. I'm an elite club member and enjoy the points to reduce cost of future items. I also appreciate the free shipping as a veteran.
I like the fact that if I really need something, I have a dedicated agent to assist. Also enjoy the extra points and free shipping. I believe the Elite rewards program is worth the money for sure!

Have been workin with HH for almost 20 years. I am also an Elite Member. Their customer service is tops and their products are very good. Have 12 planes and 4 helicopters. 3 Transmitters all Spektrum. Also always use Spektrum ESCs and Receivers when buying from other manufacturers. Highly recommend them.
I have never been dissapointed with Horizon. I order items and receive them as specified. I am an Elite club member and enjoy the perks and ability to contact a Horizon representative who knows what their products do and won't do. Often I get products in a day without having to drive 30+ miles to a hobby shop that often doesn't have what I am look king to buy.

and free Fed Ex shipping they offer have been well worth it to me. Regarding customer service reps, I have overall had good responses and problems solved in a timely manner. Regarding their product lines, I have had a few issues with some E-Flite planes out of the box, such as bad servos and scarred foam wing surfaces. But their Aarma vehicles are top class and fantastic machines. And I also have a few Pro Boat model boats and they are top notch as well. And of course the Spektrum radio line is world class quality. I have been an RC modeler for 50 years and so I have seen it all.
Got back in to the hobby after a couple decade hiatus, am in to just about anything R/C and if I'm not my sons and grandsons are. With that said, love E-flite planes so Horizon is the place. Had an issue with a plane early on, not that big of a deal, but HH sent another plane in it's place, didn't ask for that, they just did it in order to satisfy the customer. Just started my second year as Elite and for me has been very beneficial, maybe not for all depending on how much you spend, but has worked great for me. My rep when needed has been Johnny on the spot with any concerns and/or assistance I've needed. Can honestly say their cust svc overall is excellent. Those are my experiences and I'm not a bot or a shill, just an actual living breathing RC flyer, tanker, driver, and boater. Out.
I have been a customer of Horizon for over 10 years and they've always stood behind their products. When I have had an issue whether product or order related, their staff is always friendly and have taken care of my issues in a timely manner.
Horizon Hobby's website is all inclusive, easy to navigate and both the e-flite and other rc airplane offerings for every level of flyer are outstanding. Likewise, their customer service is there when you need them. I am an Eflite and Spectrum fan even though I also venture out with FMS, Arrow, Flex Innovation and others. Seem to always come back to Eflite.
Elite member customer service helped me to fix an IX12 radio that had a problem which required a complete wipe and reload of the android and airware software. My $600 radio is like new!
