Very disappointing experience

I am already an NHS hearing aid wearer, but I am looking to upgrade to a system that can support my tinnitus. As it's going to be an expensive outlay I have been trying to do some research as to what is available, the different models and programs. If you were buying a car you would want to see and try various models and get as much information as possible.
I had already checked out places like Specsavers and Boots but decided to check out somewhere dedicated to hearing. I popped into town and into the shop. The Reception area was empty and nobody appeared to be around. I could hear voices in one of the rooms so I sat and waited. After about 10 minutes a girl came out and asked if I was OK. I explained the reason for popping in, just to get some information. She explained nobody else was there, no audiologists, just her (an ENT person) and she was busy with someone. She said I could make an appointment, but seriously, after such an uninspiring, unmanned reception I told her I would not be bothering. If this is what customer service is to be expected I'm not going to be spending over £3000 on new hearing aids if nobody is around to support me if I need someone's advice. I also wasted my parking ticket.

Thank you for sharing your experience – I’m truly sorry to hear it didn’t meet your expectations. You’re absolutely right that when exploring such an important investment in your hearing health, you should feel supported and valued at every step.

Unfortunately, you visited on one of the very rare occasions, when our dedicated Perth audiology team were helping to cover another branch.

Our clinician, who was covering Perth was attending to another patient, who had arrived unexpectedly with an urgent clinical need, so the clinician took the opportunity to attend them straight away, leaving the reception area unattended.

While this was a very unusual situation, I completely understand how it must have made you feel, and I’m disappointed we didn’t make a better impression on this occasion.

However, we set ourselves very high standards here at House of Hearing, and when we believe we have fallen below them, customer feedback such as yours is invaluable.

We would really welcome the opportunity to make this right. If you’d be open to it, please contact me directly at eilidh@houseofhearing.co.uk and I can answer any questions you might have. Robbie the Audiologist very carefully explained,once more,how to change filters and why I should be wearing my hearing aids longer.
He also showed me,again,how to use my phone with them.

Quick and efficient service

I needed an ear syringe as I had a blockage in one ear. Despite not being a regular customer I managed to get an appointment at short notice. The staff were excellent and cleared the blockage very successfully.

A five star experience.

I asked the NHS when I would be able to get a hearing test. I was told i would have to wait more than 2 years !! Shocked, I looked for audiologists in Perth and came across The House of Hearing. It had excellent reviews and I was offered an appointment the next day. They are amazing!!!!! I can hear properly and clearly at last. I am a museum tour guide, so need to hear people asking questions from the back of the room. The level of service from all the staff at House of Hearing, is exemplary, from the audiologist to the receptionist, all are committed to producing the best possible experience. Aftercare is equally great and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are definitely worth five stars from me.

Exceptional staff and service…

I called House of Hearing and was offered an appointment the same day. As soon as I walked through the door, the staff greeted me with a smile and it was such a relaxing atmosphere. I had booked to have ear wax removed and a consultation thinking it would be an expensive day but I knew it would be worth every penny. I have to say though, how honest and trustworthy the staff were. After my consultation I was advised there was no need for the ear wax removal and they only charged me a consultation fee. I then went on to see the Audiologist and she could not of been more helpful. I am so glad I chose to book an appointment with this place today.

Great Service

Great service, friendly, couldn't be more helpful. Right from the moment I walked through the door with an enquiry as I couldn't hear from one ear. Charles was so approachable and friendly. I then had a quick check over with Robbie who confirmed the issue. Back in for a follow up appointment with Bev and she was great, put me so at ease and kept me informed all the way through the treatment. Highly recommend this clinic in Perth.
