Failure of Houstons to respond to urgent concerns
I had a back tooth extracted on Tuesday 17th February. The procedure appeared straightforward with no difficulty. I was charged £500. I have been a registered private patient for a considerable time and the cost of an extraction on their website quotes extractions from £175 for private patients. When I queried my bill the dentist said he could have charged up to £900. Since the extraction i have ongoing problems with a large cavity that has not healed. There is a piece of bone/tooth protruding which is very painful. I booked a 2nd appointment on 24th February when the dentist attempted unsuccessfully to file down this protruding exposed bone/tooth. The cavity is still not healing and further bone is being exposed. I sent an email addressed to the Practice Manager on 16th March asking for a further consultation as a matter of urgency. This was not acknowledged or answered. I therefore, telephoned on 18th March to be told that someone would contact me. Noone has yet had the courtesy to do so. I am still waiting.
