In the past a few year, this HP printer turned to my nightmare, various kinds of weird issues and nothing worked even for very basic printing.

HP printer is literally crap!!!! They are genius who can make a printer stop working in many kinds of issues.

$183 for 0 ink

I am 62 yrs old and I have only owned HP printers and been a loyal customer. Now the printer will not work unless you buy there ink. generic ink will stop the printer. Who ever was the blue collar that came up with idea should be fired. My daughter was charged for there free ink for 10 months till she called and stopped it. She told them she has not needed ink why charge me. The answer was "thats how the program works" I got on the phone and said shes an 18 yr old who makes min wage cant you refund some of the money since she never received the product. The answer was "no thats how the program works". I said can we get ink now and was told "yes if you pay lst month and this month membership". Its a legal scam. I will never again purchase an HP product. She lost $183. I have a hp4255e that ran out of color today. I disconnected it and took it out to the trash. I dont know what I will buy but it will not be HP . I have seen hundreds of reveiws with this complaint

HP printers are garbage

HP printers are garbage. Stay away. I have a new Desk Jet "All In One". Have had to reinstall the drivers 10 times. It craps out for nothing. Printer ink very expensive. Real garbage product. New printer, nothing wrong with it. Drivers are complete, non-functioning, bug-ridden garbage. Software is easy to hack and this may be the problem. Avoid this product. No customer support but all that is needed is functioning drivers. DO NOT BUY

If there was a 0 rating I’d give it that. They are absolute scammers. Constantly taking money out my account nearly every 2 weeks and I’m not even getting products for it. I got charged £25 today for no reason and haven’t used the printer in 3 months. Disgrace and no one to contact

If there was a zero or minus rating…

If there was a zero or minus rating that would be still too high.
My printer was faulty from a few weeks after the purchase. HP dragged out the 'support' until it was out of warranty and then said 'it was out of warranty so they could not do anything'.
Beyond slimy and the support in who knows what country are beyond lazy and useless.
Never never buy an HP

Time wasters

Time wasters , you use half my ink with alignment of the printer.
Only so many minutes in a day and yet another company who thinks it's ok to waste them with non consenting alignment. Stop wasting people's most valuable resource of time.

Appalling customer service - doesn't even deserve 1 star

I've tried for 5 days to get advice regarding an error on my HP LaserJet. It is impossible to get to speak to a human, and all other 'AI' and chat advice has been useless. To add insult to injury, I then received a message to say that the issue had been successfully answered!
When I've had problems in the past, I was able to get advice from a person at HP that sorted the problem (albeit for a charge) - the current system is absolutely impossible.
I am now forced to buy a new printer - and it won't be an HP!

Horrible experience

What ever goes right with these printers? It takes approximately 12 minutes for the printer to turn on, you can't turn quiet mode off, it constantly says there is a paper jam when there isn't. The stress caused by trying to use this printer is obscene.

Awful!!!

Awful!!!! I need to use a printer infrequently, unfortunately I bought a HP. Which needs to run a clean and alignment if not used regularly (if not used every other week. But worst of all trying to locate the cleaning and alignment tools on the HP Smart is a absoulte nightmare, "keeping it simple" my AH. I am not normally a person who writes reviews and when I do they are normally positive but this is what my useless HP printer has brought me to doing today, so welldone HP!

God awful HP printer

God
What an awful piece of junk
After spending 2 hours with chatgpt trying to figure out all the error codes and it not turning on or off or doing anything I wanted it to do. Turns out I can't use it without an account and paying for the ink subscription service. So I have a printer with power with paper with ink and I can't use it because I'm not paying a subscription. What a terrible business model.
Awful awful awful. I'll be returning and never buying HP again.

Connection not as easy as it should have been

Down loaded the 'Easy' app and started the wireless connection. Needed permission to use location - shown as 'off' on first screen and can not be changed here - you need to go to security option! Then needed pin number for printer - not easy to find - it was inside the ink replacement compartment! Think things like this should be included in the 'one line' set up instructions.

Smart App work around. Cheap ink refill !!!

HP 2800e printers work well as long as you do not install their SMART APP.. I let Win10 find driver for 2800series on the net and install. Use printer IP address to enter printer set-up and toggle NO FIRMWARE UPDATES. I use ink from AliEx $8 delivered to refill set-up cartridges. All sweet and super cheap!
Only print off line using WiFi direct as a safe guard. I top up ink regularly. If displays empty ink toggle use original. No firmware updates is the secret......

I bought an HP envy 6100e printer and have never had such difficulty setting it up. It has taken me three hours to get it going. It took an hour to fit the cartridges as I am disabled and my hands don't work very well but I managed my previous hp printer which had a much easier slot in method for the cartridges. And why do we have to go online? Why can't we just plug and play as we used to do.? The website was very hard to follow. Why can't we just have a nice simple printed guide?
