Not as bad as posted
Even though I was frustrated by the lack of information from Hssuk, as soon as posted on this site and sent a chaser email to them the goods came next day, so I have to give them credit for this.
Please avoid this company at all costs
Please avoid this company at all costs. They take your money immediately, you then cannot get through to anyone - I waited 30 minutes to get through several times which costs a small fortune using a mobile phone. They were useless, after said I would receive a refund in a COUPLE OF WEEKS! We’ll see if I do, but I doubt it. Absolutely useless and they almost laugh at you on the phone when you call them out on their behaviour and policies. Am reporting to trading standards also.

Got their catalogue in our local newspaper for the first time. I was appalled at their prices. Particularly on PPE where they appear to be preying on peoples fear of Covid-19. Other items appear targeted at people in lock-down with highly questionable prices. For example bird feeders (page 10) at £4.99 which are exactly the same as those sold in our local Poundstretcher type shops for £0.99 this company is shameful.

My 83 year old mother ordered an item from Home Shopping Selections. The product arrived and it was faulty. The item was returned and she requested a refund. No refund was received. She wrote to the company twice. Still no refund received. I have emailed the company twice. No contact from them and no refund received. I refuse to ring their premium 10p per minute number. Next step Trading Standards as per the person below. Disgusting way to treat an elderly person. As promised to this company if they did not respond, I have left them a negative review on Trustpilot. AVOID.
Avoid this dishonest company
I made an online order and money was taken immediately. After one month there was no acknowledgement of the order and no goods. I phoned and was told that one item was not available and had not been available when I made the order, although there had been no indication of that. When I phoned again the item was still not available and there was no date for its availability and they “could not send out a partial order” I’ve got my money back but will never deal with this company again and I would urge other shoppers to ignore their ubiquitous flyers.

During lock down I ordered a Hedge trimmer from this company for an elderly neighbour, thinking it was easier online than them going to post office, boy I wish I hadn`t. It arrived with no charger, on the advert in the paper this was not stated, it was an extra £100 for the charger, so they returned it through the Post Office. What then followed is a lot of emails from me, IGNORED. Phone calls from me at 10p A minute, each time I was given a different reason as to why I had not received the refund, in the end I contacted Citizens Advice Bureau, the first step in reporting to Trading Standards and finally received the refund. Absolutely shocking company from start to finish!!!!!!!

I ordered 40 surgical masks which were supposed to be in stock on the 16th. May and they took £61.28 from my account the next day. Since then I have heard nothing from them. I have completed an online enquiry form and sent an Email to their customer services department but they have not replied to either. I have also cancelled the order but, of course, my money has not been refunded. At 10p a minute, I am not prepared to telephone them as, no doubt, this is just a way to get more money from you.
THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY THAT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH and am today reporting them to Trading Standards.

Wish I had read the reviews before I placed an order. I was able to place an order and the money was taken out of my bank the same day. There was no mention that the item was out of stock and no emails to let me know. I had to ring them to find out what was happening. Going to report this company to trading standards and write to the newspaper that their catalogue was attached to.

With effect from 21 April 2017, Visa mandated that merchants cease capturing ‘Card Verification Value’ (CVV) data (the last three numbers on the back of your bank card) in a written format, including on mail order forms, to protect consumers from ‘data compromise’ (misuse). Yet in March 2020 Home Shopping Selections, or HSSUK as it describes itself in the mail order catalogue it sent to me, still wants my ‘Card Security No.' included with any order placed. Beware!

Beware they keep your card details, to be used as automatic payment for hard sell on the old and vulnerable. They swindle the unsuspecting out of millions every year, Do not shop from them. They are connected to Easylife group who also con the old out their hard earned money.

Thank you for all the previous reviews. Having received their magazine in our weekend newspaper, I was about to order snow boots for my wife and I. Fortunately I read the reviews on Trustpilot first.

Keep away.-COWBOYS. And I don’t mean the nice ones.
I ordered two items. One was acknowledged the other not ! So I phoned number on acknowledgement - continuous tone. Tried the email - not valid. Assumed fraud & Phoned credit card company to advise. Informed a bona fide but many complaints. Suggest I wait before creating a dispute. 4 days later the un acknowledged item arrived( low quality) I left message on their web site and told 2 nd item on its way - it wasn’t! Here the tale gets complicated but included 3 deliveries of the un acknowledged item and no arrival of the acknowledged one. On their last email a phone number appeared and I was able to cancel the un arrived item and give them a piece of my mind. Thes company is not fit to trade. The word “Cowboys” come to mind

Absolute rubbish outfit. Overpriced. If you try and cancel an order they claim it has already been picked. You can opt to refuse delivery but Yodel ignored my instructions. They offered a refund authorisation code but cannot guarantee refund of the postage. AVOID
Designed to get the max £ from you for not much in return
Re Luggage scales item no H64617 from their latest flyer in my weekend newspaper. Astonishingly overpriced @£9.99 when you can get the same poor quality from any pound shop. The scale may or not be entirely accurate, as you have to hold a 20 Kg case and the scales with one hand while simultaneously trying to read a figure at an angle, praying the handle won’t shoot off the slippy hook which it does with ease. Don’t waste your money on this ripoff item.
Poor quality products and service
I bought some rug grippers and a radiator from this company. The info on the radiator said that it could be freestanding or wallmounted. It came with no instructions and no wall fixings. We had to adapt it ourselves.
The rug grippers were useless and just made my rugs walk even more than they did before! They ended up in the bin.
There was little point in contacting this company as they charge you 10p per minute for the pleasure. There was also no info about how to return goods.
