I purchased some Hunter walking boots from Frasers. Luckily got them in a sale but they were still over £100, wore them for one hiking trip for a week, so in total maybe wore them 20 times, the seams... See more

Hunter Women's Balmoral Side Adjustable…
Hunter Women's Balmoral Side Adjustable 3mm Neoprene Boot, just 3 years old & used rarely, however the waterproof coating has literally fallen off in the adjustable pleat. Very expensive disappointment, considering I’ve had several pairs & trusted this brand.
Hunters are premium product and yet you…
Hunters are premium product and yet you not only make customers pay for their returns, we have to find and source a courier company. Making returns the customers problem is building a terrible customer experience.
Hunter Balmoral Men’s Wellingtons.
Hunter Balmoral Men’s Wellingtons.
I have been a long term user of these boots and I’m appalled. Instead of lasting years, the last 2 pairs have lasted months.
It is the uppers that are the problems. Within weeks they develop cracks. I rarely keep receipts (my fault) so returning is not an option. Instead I have taken to covering/filling the cracks with Stormsure glue. Once they’re muddy the repairs don’t show too much but for £100+ wellies, it is beyond ridiculous quality.
For anyone considering buying some, look elsewhere! I’d give no stars if I could.
Waste of money
I purchased some Hunter walking boots from Frasers. Luckily got them in a sale but they were still over £100, wore them for one hiking trip for a week, so in total maybe wore them 20 times, the seams have already come away from the fabric where the waterproof layer attaches. I’ve had longer lasting pairs from Aldi!
The size 14 jumper was more like a 12
The size 14 jumper was more like a 12. No free return. And a 15% handling fee. So it cost me almost a quarter of the cost just to see it. Website for return was horrible and the emails didn’t answer my questions. Never again
Awful quality
Awful quality. Shoes start falling apartment after 10 months.
DO NOT buy women's Chelsea boots
DO NOT buy women's Chelsea boots. They look like they'd be comfortable, however the elastic ankle piece is very tight, and despite having slim ankles, you have to really force your foot through the neck of the boot. Once they're on, the neck of the boot is SO tight, it rubs your ankle bones - no matter how slim your legs and ankles are! I tried with various different socks but continued to get blisters and cuts from the tight edges. Not worth the money. Don't waste your time. Plenty of other more comfortable labels to wear on your precious feet!
Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Not one bit happy with this brand. I bought a Hunter jacket, costing in the hundreds of euro and the quality is just appalling.
It has been cared for as per manufacturer’s instructions, and the two sleeves are coming apart at the seams. It appears as though the garment isn’t even stitched, it’s glued together!!
I contacted Hunter customer service who was most unhelpful.
I checked out as a guest from ASOS and therefore could not find my proof of purchase for the jacket and they therefore wouldn’t help me.
Hunter will not accept any responsibility for the faulty jacket that is falling apart and cost me approximately €250.
Never ever will I buy this brand again, nor will I recommend anyone to buy.
I was brought up with this brand in the 90s, the wellies were great, the quality has gone so so down hill since then. I wish I could post pictures on here the garment is truly a disgrace.
Bad experience
I bought a Hunter bag less than 6 months ago from TK Maxx as a Christmas present... it barely got used, but when the big day came – the hospital run for my baby’s arrival – the strap gave out completely. One of the most important journeys of my life and the bag literally fell apart.
TK Maxx told me it was a Hunter product fault and directed me to Hunter. Hunter, in turn, pushed me back to TK Maxx. Neither company is taking responsibility... leaving me with a broken bag and no resolution.
I’ve always associated Hunter with quality and reliability, but after this experience I’ll think twice before ever buying their products again. Sharing here so others know what to expect.
Waste of money
Waste of money. Products won't last for a year. Customer support not supportive at all.
I absolutely love the comfort of these…
I absolutely love the comfort of these boots and how light they are but the quality is absolutely terrible. As I love how comfortable they are I have had 3 pairs now and every single pair at just out of the warranty period of 1 year they start leaking in.. peeling and basically rotting to pieces!! Shocked when your supossed to be a good company! Customer service never helped so I'll take my custom elsewhere!!
Return fee is an absolute disgrace
Return fee is an absolute disgrace
I was charged £11 to return an item! It's disguting - you should be ashamed.
Terrible quality for a so called…
Terrible quality for a so called premium product. My 6 month old Hunter Wellingtons have started peeling, the top layer is coming of… making them look like sh*t. Customer service is non existent. No reply whatsoever.
Never buy these!!!
AVOID GLOSS HUNTER WELLINGTONS
This is the second pair of Hunters quilt gloss wellingtons I have bought. Under no circumstances go for the gloss wellingtons. They split across the top of the foot.
Although they are a few years old they have hardly been worn as they were purchased for more formal events.
This is the 2nd time it’s happened, I accepted that it happened to the first pair, again hardly worn, but to happen again, not acceptable, especially at the price of them.
No more Hunter wellingtons for me.
I can’t be the only person this has happened to.
Purchased a pair of hunter wellies
Purchased a pair of hunter wellies. Sure they were around £200 at the time. Purchased due to Hunter being a known brand for style and also quality. It seems, looking at other reviews, they have fallen short of the latter over the last few years. Just outside the warranty period and both have split leaving me with wet feet today. Will be moving to Aigle or La Chameau.
I purchased a pair of hunters play…
I purchased a pair of hunters play short boots in black
They didn’t even last 1 month , the seem between the heel and boot started lifting and coming away . They were only worn a few times to walk locally . Luckily i had purchased from secret sales website and they refunded me for the purchase and gave me a free return . I was gutted as they do look great but they are not made well at all 😌 I wouldn’t recommend anyone purchasing them , as with a lot of reviews they don’t last . I got a similar ankle pair of boots now from Asda for only £15 , so hopefully they last .
Poor quality
£130 boots, minimal use around the garden for 3 years, the odd dog walk. Now the rubber has cracked and split through above the ankle on both boots.
Like many others say the quality has gone through the floor in recent years. Won’t be buying Hunter wellies again
No support behind this tired brand
Having been a loyal customer of Hunter Boots, I was totally let down by their customer service on a recent issue. Basically zero support. There are alternative brands out there with products as good or better AND have a higher level of customer satisfaction and service.
Expensive and not waterproof
I received a pair of Hunter wellies as a Christmas gift. For the price point, I’m extremely disappointed. Since day 1 they have not been waterproof. I use them when walking my dog over short, grassy fields which at most is damp however my socks are absolutely soaking by the end of the walk. Defeats the object of having waterproof wellies. Will not buy this brand again. Don’t waste your money!
Poor quality boots
Like most reviews state, Hunter no longer make quality boots. My last pair have already split in less than 7 months.
