We came across Husverket while searching online for contractors to help us build our summer cabin. We contacted them in November 2023 for an initial call, and from the beginning the process felt professional and well structured.
We decided to go with the Klassisk K3.50 model, with an adjusted roof angle and a loft above the rooms. To keep our budget under control, we chose Klimatskal färdigt utvändigt, planning to complete the remaining interior work ourselves over time. At that stage, we had not decided on surface finishes, lighting, electrical outlets, or bathroom details, which actually worked very well and gave us flexibility to figure things out as we went.
We signed the contract in March 2024, and shortly after paying the down payment we received the drawings needed for the building permit (bygglov). The permit was approved in May, and in June we had a production meeting with Husverket to plan the manufacturing and installation schedule.
The house was delivered in October, which gave us enough time to prepare the foundation and arrange a temporary access road for the delivery truck and crane. The building elements arrived directly from the factory in Lithuania. They were first offloaded at a nearby location and then transported to our site using a smaller truck and crane. All construction elements were assembled on the first day. Over the following three weeks, two very skilled carpenters completed the roof, gutters, façade, and windows. We were extremely happy with the quality of their work. The Tjärvitriol finish turned out beautifully.
Now, more than a year after construction, we are still very satisfied with our house and with Husverket overall. The only thing I would pay a bit more attention to in hindsight is the windows: since they are full-height windows and window doors, it would have been useful to have exterior handles, a mechanism to keep the doors fixed in an open position and door stoppers.
Other than that, everything went very smoothly, and I would definitely recommend Husverket to anyone considering building a house or cabin.
