I am very disappointed with the…

I am very disappointed with the delivery timing ! Instead of the 5 to 10 days announced on the order form, the shipping took 22 days!! and as a result my wife's birthday was ruined by this delay in delivery!

Very high prices given quality of products (very fragile) and their delivery service (which they claim is not their fault, but the partner they have chosen..)

In summary, good looking products, nice idea, Hylus really trying to preserve an image of a company that cares for customer service, but the reality is that the quality of the delivery service of their partner and more importantly the quality of the products are just NOT in line with the prices. Even with huge discounts... I think Hylus lacks knowledge on how to protect prints on acrylic glass (i don’t mean for transportation - I mean making sure the print stays on the boards and doesn’t come off simply by touching gently when mounting on the wall...) and maturity to manage it’s partners. Even with a pandemic going on, I only had issues (twice...) with the Hylus delivery. Also given the time I spent to provide feedback, I saw that Hylus remained polite, but did not improve its service with the second batch it sent out to replace the faulty products I received the first time round. Globally I am disappointed with my purchase, especially as I find the concept really cool, but given the price, the quality just is not there, the products are super fragile... and it was not just the batch of three skateboards I received. The products look nice on the wall, cool idea, but frankly are not worth anything near what Hylus is charging, especially given how fragile they are.

Below is a more detailed version of what happened.
I just picked up a second package as the the first one had 2 of the three skateboards damaged. It took me precisely 55 mins (again) to go pick up as Hylus’ delivery partner didn’t deliver to my house (again), lied about it, and simply left the package at a pick up point far away. Hylus said that the GPS says the pickup point is 11 mins away from my house... claimed my house is in a remote place... I live in the dense part of the Parisian suburbs, 25 mins from the Paris center... it’s not a remote place. It has been quite annoying to keep hearing all these polite excuses about why there was an issue instead of simply accepting responsibility without trying to make out it was to do with me, or my address, or my dismissal of issues due to a worldwide pandemic, etc). Hylus kindly told me it’s not their fault and but UPS’s and that I should complain to them... even though they also filed a complaint, the first time round.
I appreciated that Hylus rapidly sent out another package but only of the 2 skateboards which were faulty, leaving me the task to align two new ones to one skateboard already fixed on the wall. Sounds easier than it is.
In any event I damaged one from the first batch simply by holding it gently when mounting onto to the wall. The print comes off simply by touching it, they are extremely fragile. Especially given the price, Hylus should review the quality of what they are selling (delivery service and product).

Reflecting to your point on how we handle our products, we'd like to point out how many of our customers before and after your review praise how well our products are packed: with a double layer of bubble wrap, and a double sided cardboard box, forming a very thick layer to protect the product. Of course, in some cases damage can still happen, this is out of our control, however we take full responsibility for it - as you mentioned in your case as well, by sending you brand new items in record time, during the holiday season nevertheless.
Also, as we're talking about Acrylic Glass products, yes, they are fragile, and we advise to handle them with care. Whatever the case may be, our customer service team was always ready and available to answer your queries and help out.

Our customer service team, next to sending out the new boards immediately, has also lanched an investigation with our delivery partner, UPS due to the driver delivering to an access point. Any claims or changes we make with our delivery partner cannot go through in the few days in which we've sent out your second package. Unfortunately, sometimes delivery drivers are on a very tight schedule and have to resort to having to deliver to Access Points, where you can collect your package, especially during a worldwide pandemic, and in smaller towns such as yours. This Delivery Point (according to Google Maps) is an 11 minute drive from your home. Our point in that case wasn't that it's "not our fault" - it was that we cannot personally tell any driver what to do, only to file a complaint with them, which we've done.

At the end, we're happy that you've received your new skateboards, and that you are enjoying them on your wall, in perfect condition.

I just received the "Venus" skateboard -which I had ordered as a present for my niece- and was a bit "worried" if it had been the right choice for its purpose ...(as I wanted it to be "exciting" and symbolic and I had "rejected" other choices that I liked a bit more when searching the site, but did not combine all the elements I looked for). The only thing I can say now is THANK YOU ! ! ! It's FANTASTIC and the site does not do it so much justice, as the real thing is very impressive and exactly what I hoped it would be ! It is modern, high quality and very beautiful.
The customer service was also EXCELLENT, very prompt and polite and "delivered" what they said they would ! I was also worried about the delivery time (due to COVID and Xmas period) but again they were very precise and informative and followed-up professionally.
so Thank You again ! Great Job !
