Yesterday I went into this cafe my 4 year old was desperate to use the toilet. As it’s a cafe with children’s play area I never expected the response I had from the owner for my daughter using the toilet.
The man said excuse me have you purchased anything from our cafe ( I hadn’t even had chance to as my daughter was about to wee herself) I explained no I hadn’t. To then be very rudely told I should have asked for permission to use the toilet.
I apologised and explained my daughter really needed to go, the man wouldn’t accept my apology and continued to embarrass me by belittling me infront of customers and sarcastically told me my children must be very proud to have a mother like me. The man made me feel very intimidated and also scared my children. I’m absolutely disgusted by his behaviour

There is always a friendly welcome. Truly, both Mike and Leslie make certain their customers feel at home. They are good and caring host. There coffee is the best in town and the place is very popular. I asked Mike if I may leave a review and he gave me your address

Lovely little café owned by a local couple and their adorable pooch! My favourite café in Torbay, always great to go in to such an accepting, warm, friendly atmosphere and have a chat with the staff! Absolutely love Hyperspace, have been a frequent visitor over the past two years and its always a pleasure!

We visited for the train play session. There was so much for them to play with my son loved it. The staff are so friendly. They couldn’t do enough for you. Will definitely be back.

Today I took my 2.5 year old toddler and my 10 day old baby. Firstly, the Caramel hot chocolate is 2nd to none ( i definitely recommend it for the sugar boost of keeping up with a toddler, not to mention now the weather is getting colder). As it was our first time the owners took the time to show us the play equipment and to my surprise there is even a baby area suitable for my 10 day old full of lots of lovely sensory activities and lights. This meant while my toddler was able to independently play on the soft play ( as it is thankfully for under 5s) without me worrying about older children taking over the space or being to overwhelming for my child, he also had the option to play with lots of different free play toys too ( something i haven't experienced at many soft plays) this meant his attention was held for longer as he had so much to keep him occupied. My baby son really enjoyed the lights and as a new mum this space really helped me feel like I had balanced their needs nicely as there was something for both of them. Extra bonus points for the fact it is central in town and also very clean ( some soft plays lack this aspect). We will definitely be back, regularly.

A soft play and cafe ,friendly staff,clean , but the soft play area is very small and suitable only for under 5's having said that at least it avoids over enthusiastic older children clambering about around little ones ,so that's a plus ,my grandson enjoyed it and I think found the smaller space less overwhelming ,some of the customers were regulars and the husband and wife team who own it ,clearly have experience with children ,warm friendly place ,I would visit again .

The place is spotless and there is so much variety for different age groups. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and seem really passionate about baby and child development. They have even put thought into dietary requirements for dairy free etc in the cafe. We’re really looking forward to returning! Also - Boba tea for the win

Lovely play centre for our 19 month old to explore and he absolutely loved it! Would have stayed even longer if we let him. Bubbles given out when leaving were a nice touch, and good coffee for adults too!

My daughter loves it here, has hugely helped with her confidence and the owners are so lovely. Clearly care a lot about their jobs and children’s development and always there to talk to. Changing faculties are always working and clean. Hyperspace is our favourite soft play.

Me and the kiddies love it here, there's something for everyone. Even my particularly fussy 8 year old keeps asking when we can go back to the "fun place with the Mario kart" 😆

We have been going since it opened and she still enjoys every visit. Great selection of drinks for both children and adults. Friendly owners.

A great idea to keep the kids entertained

First and last time here.
Found staff to be extremely rude, the place is very small - the photos you see online are deceiving. The place was very dirty - doesn’t look as though it’s been cleaned in months and some toys were broken.
Booked an hour time slot but only stayed 20 minutes.
