We had an overall good experience with IAS who assisted us in getting a residence permit in Spain for my wife. They provided a good plan from the start which was executed until the end. Along the way... See more

IAS is a wonderful company who dealt with my spouse visa in the correct manor ensuring an easy process and kept me upto date with the process at every stage of my application a big thanks to my case worker Naz Jiva

My experience with the Immigration Advice Service was deeply disappointing. After an initial consultation, I provided a detailed list of follow-up questions that were essential for our corporate governance process and immigration planning. Despite clearly stating that we were willing to pay for written advisory work, my emails went unanswered for more than two weeks.
No fee quote, no guidance, and no acknowledgement of the substance of the questions were provided. A response only arrived after escalating the issue to a supervisor, and even then it did not address any of the queries raised. The written “advice letter” we received was mostly generic guidance, poorly written, and not tailored to our situation.
This level of service falls far below what is expected for matters as serious and time-sensitive as UK immigration strategy. As a result, we have decided to seek representation elsewhere.
I cannot recommend IAS based on this experience.

A big big thank you to Harpreet Kaur. Harpreet helped every step of the way with my wife's Indefinite Leave To Remain application making it far less stressful than it would otherwise have been. Many Thanks
Working with Harpreet Kaur from Immigration Advice Service on my Skilled Worker Visa application was an outstanding experience. She was supportive, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient from start to finish. No matter how many questions I asked, she always took the time to explain everything clearly and guide me through each step, which made the whole process so much less stressful.
Thanks to her professionalism and attention to detail, my application was approved, and I’m truly grateful for all the hard work she put in. I would gladly recommend Harpreet to anyone needing immigration advice...she really knows her stuff and genuinely cares about her clients.
Thank you so much, Harpreet

Our caseworker, Naz, was very professional and helpful. She made it very clear what we needed to do when in order to submit our application, answered all our queries in a helpful and timely manner, and made it easy for us to submit a successful application.

Niv is so helpful and a brilliant caseworker, she had just taken over the case, we have been concerned as social workers that caseworkers keep changing and she reassured us and carried about work very efficiently. She kept us updated and final it has felt like we have progress. We had no previous caseworkers and it was a stress situation for us as social workers. She has put out mind at ease and she gets things done. Thank you Niv

We worked with Naz Jiva for spousal visa application. She was highly knowledgeable and responsive. After we submitted our visa application, we received a positive decision very quickly in 27 days after biometrics. Thanks also to IASUK for all of the help.

This is the second time I've used IAS and for this round, Saima was assigned to my case for ILR application and was nothing but professional, friendly, hopeful and helpful. We are really looking forward to working with her to complete this process.

Scammers. A woman called Sarah Dodd sends out bulk emails as follows:
“Good morning,
I hope that you are well.
I am reaching out to you as within the last 3 months, you have contacted IAS regarding an Immigration matter and as of yet you haven’t moved forward with any of our services.”
No, I have never contacted them! And I don’t need any help with immigration 😂

Before using Immigration Advice Service, be sure to ask about the costs. They charged us several thousand euros on every call, always assuring us that no further payments would be necessary. The service likely costs €15,000, and that's without any guarantee of success. Their business practices are unethical, and the people they speak to are deceptively trained.

Very prompt and responsive service. Was a pleasure working with Harpreet throughout.

The process was very smooth and precise throughout and Naz Jiva was very attentive to ensuring we had everything correct so that we did not have any hold ups. We did not have any issues that came up from the home office and I got my spousal visa and will be in the UK in a matter of weeks.
The only portion of the process that was at all stressful was the waiting period after the biometrics appointment! It took almost all of the 12 weeks to the day, but I believe it may have been that it was at the same time of the year when a lot of students were applying. IAS does not control that, but if I was going to do anything different, I would have gone for the priority service. Maybe I should have thought about the time of year it was being submitted?
Other than that I can't complain and can't thank IAS and Naz enough for all the help.

The kindest way I can describe them is pontless.
The immigration law adviser was negative from the start (not to mention that she was 10 minutes late).
She didin't have any solutions, just problems everywhere...
I got much more and better information after 10 min on google and on gov.uk!
Save yourself a few £ on pointless consultation.
The only thing they can give you is high blood pressure!

I am very grateful for Miriam Ballard. She is the best lawyer I have come across. She worked hard at my appeal and today I was successful. I would recommend her to everyone.
I am so happy for all her help. She tried very hard and the results were good.

I had a paid Consultancy / Immigration Advice appointment with IAS on 19 September 2025 and more specifically with Tom Egan after an initial call with Lindsay Alexander. Prior to the appointment I furnished IAS with the substance of the appointment. I was promised a letter by Tom Egan during the appointment of a letter of our discussion. No letter was received despite of me having contacted IAS a week ago.

Naz Jiva provided exceptional support with the Document Checking Service, efficiently reviewing our documents in a short timeframe. This allowed us to proceed with our visa application well before the deadline.
Thank you Naz

Visa Success
The immigration process is quite robust and the first time we were not successful in our application. Harpreet Kaur was our immigration caseworker from IAS, and provided us with a thorough review of all documentation, to help ensure our second application was successful. She provided suggestions along the way to ensure the application was robust, and respectful when decisions were made that did not adhere to her recommendations. Responses to our queries generally quite quick and always within the timelines outlined in the contract. If you are undertaking a first visa application, we would highly recommend obtaining support. While it is not cheap, it is certainly much more cost effective than having to apply a second time!
