Really pleased :) I wasn't sure what to expect when I found ID5 after a quick web search. The website looked very professional, but over the years I've learned to be quite skeptical of online reviews... See more

Nobody wants bureaucracy but...
Nobody wants to deal with this bureaucracy but, when there is no option and you would like a service that gets what you need done in a short time span, its better value than you think
Good experience
I had requested a service when in fact, none was needed. Time was taken to explain to me why, and I was set on the right path for what I needed to achieve. Top marks for professionalism and courtesy.
No replies, no paperwork since 12th Dec 25
I have been waiting since December 12 for the paperwork after having completed an ID interview. No replies to emails. No one answering phone.
The person running this company is a liar and a cheat, and has wasted me valuable time and money. I'm trying to sort my family's affairs after the death of my Husband. THIS has not helped me in any way. No contact, no replies. AND he now has all my identification details. I'm bloody livid.
Edited to add: had a garbled voice mail this morning about 'delays over Christmas' and please call me. Nope, you've had your chance. If you cared you'd just send the paperwork, not mess me about more.
Second edit: Number he rang and left voicemail from is now blocked. Cannot call or text back.
I was shocked by how bad the service was
My emails were ignored, it took two attempts to complete the form. Then we waited a whole week for the ID5 form (although we paid £9.99 for Tracked 24 Post - total deceit as it makes you believe it would be a quick delivery). We were dealing with a rude and unprofessional person, and the whole process gave us a lot of stress.

Still no refund
After several spam emails, about 8 in total to George's email & the company's email info@ email, along with an email to another company that he seems to work for - I finally got a response.
Got told that he had been on annual leave and that's why I didn't get an answer - which seemed odd to me, because you'd usually put on an out of office etc. So your customers could have an idea of what's going on etc.
I asked for a refund, provided my details for the return of my money - still no refund within the last five days.
DO NOT USE
DO NOT USE. They have not fulfilled their service obligation. They provided ID verification forms in 2024. Land registry contacted me in Nov 25 to say that ID5 have not responded to their requests to confirm the verification. Rang ID5, got through after 4 attempts. I was advised that they can't field the number of land registry calls they receive at 9am, not really my problem. I was told to speak to land registry and ask them to write to them, by e mail or letter. I did indeed speak to land registry who confirmed they had phoned several times, sent 2 emails and 1 letter, over a 3 month period. I phoned ID5 to relay this information. Left a voicemail, sent an e mail - asking for confirmation that they will provide immediate verification, no response back. 5 unanswered calls later, I've written it off has a bad job - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Spoke to Gareth
Spoke to Gareth , he dismissed me straight away, told me i didnt have the right information and to get it and he will give me a call back , never did. Also ignored my email.
Avoid this company
Avoid this company, there are more professional and reliable services that provide an online service. We did not have our calls or emails returned and when I finally got through on the phone I was treated very rudely and unprofessionally. I had a far suprior andprofessional service provided by Parachute Law in London.
I would not recommend this service
I would not recommend this service. We were told our ID1 and ID5 forms had been dispatched on the night run of 14 November, yet after more than two weeks nothing ever arrived. We chased repeatedly by email and phone with no tracking information, no updates and no resolution. This delay forced us to instruct a different solicitor to keep our process moving. Based on our experience, the service was unreliable and did not deliver what was promised.
Rude, incompetent and outright unprofessional
If I could I would give 0 stars. Do not use if you need forms done quickly and are not prepared to chase them. You need a thick skin with this company as they treat you like you are the biggest inconvenience to them. In fairness my form was done as agreed by one of the 2 lawyers there, but my ex partner had the other lawyer and it was hellish. Only when we mentioned data protection was the form done and a bill sent. This was 10 days after the video call. However the bill was £10 more than we had agreed. We paid it as we were starting to get stressed with the house sale. Again- nothing. Asked for the postal tracking number and only then was it sent. This one particular lawyer makes you feel like you are hassling him when in fact he is not providing the service the company is advertising. Stay well clear of this company. Awful and extremely stressful experience.
Extremely rude and unprofessional
My experience with George Boyd-Gibbins mirrored the review by Nick on 1 April 2025. He was 7 minutes late for a 15 minutes appointment, appeared scruffy and grubby and was extremely rude and unprofessional. The only thing in his favour was that I hadn't paid in advance but it still cost me leaving a bitter, upsetting taste which still lingers.
Unprofessional
Had an appointment booked for today at 12pm Gareth rang to say he’s busy in a meeting and will call at 1pm. No call and it’s 1.40pm very unprofessional. Also provided the wrong email address.
Glad I checked the reviews and noticed other people with bad experiences so will not be using this company again!
Extremely rude!
Extremely rude!
We were forced to chase the ID documents due to delays and the fact we had no response either via email or phone. When we finally got through to George on the phone (we had to ask his law firm which we found on google for his number instead of the number on the ID5 website, as he wouldn't pick up), it was one of the worst experiences I have had with a solicitor. Gave a shouty lecture, made a nasty judgement about me, didn't let me get a word in and hung up.
Do not use this company - horrible experience
Painful process in the end
Painful process in the end. This company do not communicate well with other solicitors and to my astonishment do not communicate well with Land registry either. Early on this company was actively responsive until payment was sent, I believe they log numbers on their phone system so that they don’t pick up the phone to current clients. I called from my work phone twice and got through however they came wise to that number and didn’t pick the phone up thereafter. If you do try that method be aware that there is a very angry, patronising Ork that will mostly likely answer and be extremely rude. All in all I would not recommend, this is a legitimate firm however extremely unprofessional and somewhat disorganised in my experience.
Really disappointed with the service
Really disappointed with the service. The staff were rude and unhelpful, wasting my time.
All these reviews must be fake
All these reviews must be fake. They have single-handedly stopped our house sale going through when all they needed to do was answer a phone call. Every communication I had with them, they were rude and defensive.
I had a bad experience
I had a bad experience. The APP had a glitch and wouldn't complete downloading my documents. The appointment was rescheduled, I uninstalled the APP then reinstalled it and went through all the process with my documents. It said everything was complete, however when I attended the rescheduled appointment I was told that the documents had not uploaded. At this point I was accused of wasting the solicitors time and spoken to very rudely. We ended the appointment. I have since completed the check with a local conveyancer who was polite and quickly dealt with everything needed.
Excellent service.
Excellent service.
Made it all easy to understand and very helpful.
