IDEAL WORLD UK - BLISS& BEYOND SONIC TOOTHBRUSHES

Be wary of buying this product, my friends!

Two of these sonic toothbrushes were bought middle of March, one for me, one for my wife. They were classified as a completely 'New Product'.

'Bliss & Beyond'? IW claim to 'own' that brand and responsibility for manufacture.
I have evidence of that via the presenters.

That aside, the brushes arrived with some charge on them and they performed reasonably well, so no argument there.

The tiny leaflet (poor in representation!) mentioned nothing about any need to charge fully before first use. It states:

1. '...if the toothbrush has NOT been used for SIX months, charge it for more than 10 hours...'

2. '...after 10 hours of continuous charging, the toothbrush can be disconnected and used directly...'

Consequently, since there was charge from the outset, both brushes were used twice a day for a week before losing power.
Recharge necessary, then, though who's to know with NO VISUAL INDICATION AT ALL for that on the small display? Could it have just failed?

A docking station allows USB-recharge from mains and computer.

A white battery icon flashes on the small display and continues to flash unless disconnected. Why? Because as per 2. above, you presumably need 10 hours continuous charging, but again have NO VISUAL way of knowing when full charge is reached, so the icon flashes merrily away.
Surely, as with many rechargeable devices, it should display 'Full' or at least show, say, a GREEN icon when fully charged? Right?

Our brushes were charged via a quality mains-USB adaptor. Heaven help you if it's via computer!

Charge time assumes of course you've not forgotten to set an alarm for the 10 hours' wait or you like looking at that little flashing white icon!

On 'full' charge (whatever that looks like!) approximately 60 days' use is possible, the leaflet claims.

After 10 hours, both brushes worked but I wonder how long that internal battery will last if people 'overcharged'. Easily done. See above re: alarm set!

Again, no leaflet info on whether 'trickle charging' takes place after 10 hours! So what price long battery life?

I alerted IW 'Customer Service' in detail. Their response was 'to return the items' laughably adding 'for them to review the issue'. As if they themselves would know!

The easy route, of course, setting up a potential loop for yet another return when any replacement showed the same issue - which chances are it will. Then, no doubt, a long wait for any refund...

Instead, I suggested that, since IW owns B&B they should be able to contact them for advice and offer some suggestion or resolution on the matter. But no...the return/replacement/refund route was all so-called Customer Service could offer.

In other words, they don't really care about any quality issues with their branded manufacture and that speaks volumes for longevity of any product. Meanwhile looking as if they're 'doing something' about an issue by box-ticking.

Rather than waste any more valuable time, my wife and I resolved to keep the brushes and see just how long they lasted. THEN BUY ANOTHER BRAND.

One final point: on purchase, replacement heads (4 with product) were available. Just checked: nowhere to be seen now. Simply directed to the very toothbrushes on dispute!
So I guess, when the heads wear down, you're just supposed to buy the whole toothbrush all over again just to get replacment heads!

My advice: either ditch Ideal World for anything labelled 'Bliss & Beyond' and/or limit yourself to no more than a £20 purchase if you really must.

Maybe then they might realise misrepresentation or omission of vital info in TV presentations is just bad for business!

After 10 hours of charge each, both brushes have lasted just over a week! Exactly as before! So much for 60 days!
This product is clearly sub-standard, poor quality masquerading as 'good value'. Pity because otherwise it operates efficiently. If you choose to buy regardless, just ensure you have a spare 10 hours to wait!! After a week, rinse and repeat!

How to lose customers very easily?

Used to be a regular viewer and purchaser of this platform but my patience is now wearing very thin. I am sick and tired of listening to tacky awful row that purports to be music claiming to be time to buy. What is this all about ? The presenter(s) disappear off the camera and put on awful distracting noise that now makes me either mute button or change channels. It actually annoys me so much that the channel is becoming less and less viewed. Also the products are becoming cheap market junk that is becoming expensive to return and the gross exaggeration by the presenters is not acceptable or appreciated. Also the misleading prices that presenters portray the easy pay price is the actual price.

The at forward is to ditch the plonky noise, and give accurate information and description of products if you want our family to continue viewing and interested.

Said an ad wasn’t on the tv when it was!!

Bought 2 collagen powders. Won’t let me return one even though it wasn’t a bundle deal.

False advertising that you can return if not happy in 30 days if no visible results seen..

But can’t return cos the bags been opened. Well how are you supposed to try it if you don’t open the bag!!!!!!

Unsupportive company

27th November 2025, Thought I had bought a lab life hairbrush! First one didn’t arrive. Second arrived with no charger so I returned and request a refunded but a third was sent and I didn’t accept delivery. They acknowledged receiving it back but many phone calls and emails later, I still have not received a refund (15th February 2026).

Absolutely disgusted with this company

Absolutely disgusted with this company, when advertising items on TV, the presenters always state try it, if you're not happy with it return it within 30 days for a full refund. What utter shit. Tried returning a toning belt, we returned it twice, came back first time, no explanation or anything, sent it back 2nd time only to be told the refund will not be issued. We spent £300 on a shite toning belt that wasn't even worth £30.00.. BUYERS BEWARE IF YOU ORDER ANYTHING!!!!

Purchased a pilates board as a Xmas present it is advertised as having £40 pounds worth of free gifts a back roller, hula hoop,£10 gift voucher,and a booklet.i opened box it had hula hoop and board in no roller no voucher no booklet I phoned ideal world up was told to wait till Monday they may turn up after weekend no package so phoned again we will look into it and contact you if phoned today now there wasn't any free gifts with your purchase which I pointed out it's still advertised on the show and the hula hoop was part of it so again we will look into it and contact you so if it states I should have free gifts with it how can I send it back they could turn round and say I haven't sent whole purchase back will not be buying from them again

Avoid

I would give 0 if I could. I'm a molton brown customer and saw the 3 piece shower and bath wash for £39.99.I did purchase one. The first set arrived damaged so I was sent a second. The fiery pink pepper is supposed to be a clear pink colour. The one I received in both sets were a dirty muddy colour with no scent whatsoever so the second one is being returned. I'm not sure if this is molton brown so I wouldn't purchase this set. I will contact molton brown to let them know . It's the first and last time I will shop with this channel and not surprised to find out they are a sister channel to TJC so not surprised that the quality is terrible. I will stick with QVC

suspicious technical problems

tried to place order online for hair growth brush as a guest only after entering credit cars details did they suddenly have a technical problem extremely suspicious wont be trying again and will be monitoring my bank to make sure they do not charge me for anything

AVOID, rip you off. £200 out of pocket

AVOID. Months I have been trying to get my money back or replacement. Items that should have been delivered. Box was empty on delivery. Box was tampered. Photo proof. Over £200 worth.
Blood is boiling, thinking they are getting away with this customer , so called service.
They keep blocking me. Then give a new reference number. Then it starts all over again. Hit a brick wall again

Got leather jacket from ideal world next day delivery service fantastic my past experience with them not great but times change and hopefully it a better future now regarding ideal world moving forward next day delivery spot on royal mail 24 hours tracking at cost 6.99 but worth it leather 12 pounds off pay 107 so jacket very good quality chemicals smell but that not problem it will go in time experience and customer service im please say lot lot difference to previous experience with ideal world

Thought I would give ideal world another go was go smacked I purchased Elizabeth grant toricilum 6999 4 x14pound no delivery when I received it they charged me delivery charge so I rang customer service was told they can not refund me the delivery charge even though it was there error but they would take it off the budget pay surely that's illegal the contract I entered with them was 4 budget pays no delivery customers be aware this company make there own rules up illegal or not needless to say I will not be shopping with this shady company again definitely would not recommend them I will deter people from buying from this dishonest company

Faulty Goods-Struggling to get refund

Firstly they sent out a broken item. On 15th July I asked them for a returns label which they said several times was in the post but never arrived so I took the initiative and paid £7.99p for EVRI to collect the parcel and return to Ideal World. That was on 7th August. I still have no confirmation that they have rec'd my parcel. They just keep telling me to wait in the meantime they continue to take payments from my bank. First & last time of using these people.

I used to be a regular customer of IdealWorld and made many purchases that I was happy with unfortunately things have changed.My latest buy of two sweatshirts I thought would be great for my winter wardrobe was a joke.They arrived promptly and I immediately went to try on,looked good but then I became stuck as the welt and neck were so small and tight I was unable to get on or off,after a struggle I managed to get the thing off and discovered there was zero stretch.I had ordered my correct size,I packed them up and the final insult was having to pay to return these not fit for purpose items
