Brilliant
Very happy customer of Igloo. Easy to manage my account through the app, and also to ask any questions I've had. Best energy company I've ever been with 👍
Happy Igloo Customer
I've been a customer with Igloo for around 2 years. They are by far the easiest energy company I've ever dealt with and are very transparent. I get 3% on my credit balance which is a unique but brilliant perk to have.
For the people complaining your prices are rising - energy companies operating at the price cap are being forced into operating at a loss. If they offer less than the cap they are operating at significant risk. You signed up for a variable tariff and in these times its not unreasonable for them to have to raise their prices. I'm sure this isn't what they want to do.
Igloo's service and operating model is refreshing. They are naturally a small company who are trying to survive a really challenging time. I'll be sticking with them and hoping they can make it though.
1 Star
I been with them from June, and they rise the price 3 times, from a contract for £42 ,I end up pay £65,and spend no more then £35.
I decide to go back to scottish power,at tge last you can trust them.
I contact u about my refund because you own me money, but you send me a reply with vague answer.
I wondering how long I will need to wait to have a refund now.

Excellent Energy Supplier
Been with Igloo for over 12-months. They provided by far the cheapest tariff for me. I knew it was a variable tariff when I signed up and the price increases due to wholesale price rises were expected. Even with the latest increase, the tariff (price for kWh) is very competitive in my area and I really hope Igloo survive the current crisis. The website is simple and easy to use. I get easy to read statements and bills quickly because I provide regular meter readings. My account balance stays fairly "flat" and if I am in credit they pay me interest. I get so frustrated by people who compare their current (post price increase) rates with what they were paying their previous supplier and feel they've been duped. Why not compare their previous suppliers current rates with Igloo current rate to get a fair comparison.
People need to stop panicking!
People need to stop panicking!
Igloo are not at fault for the current situation the country faces (especially when people want the best energy rates). That last thing they need is people jumping ship and not supporting them. Ofgem have clear procedures for energy customers when their supplier goes under, you won't lose your credit and it will eventually be available no matter what. Those with large amount of credits should of maybe approached the situation sooner, remember to always do your best to stay on top of your finances (nobody is perfect).
Igloo have always been great with us and even with the price increases you will find their rates are still relatively cheap. This is a company of people, it's not a robot, jumping ship isn't going to fix their problem and you will most likely end up paying much more whilst potentially putting Igloo in greater danger.
Their app and customer service has always been good, my only negative is the smart meter situation, but again this is out of their hand and is an industry wide situation. Don't penalise a company for industry standards that are detrimental.
1 star rants
To the people leaving 1 star reviews - where have you been for the last month - read a paper or turn on the news. My experience of Igloo has always been positive - give them a break. Ultimately some of them may lose their jobs, you will merely change supplier … MCC
Absoulutly brilliant compmany
Absoulutly brilliant compmany. Have been wirh them since the beginning. Moved house with them. No issues at all. They have been consistently one of the cheapest suppliers I can find and their customer service is excellent.
Open and Honest pricing
Open and Honest pricing, pay interest on any credit balance. Highly recommend
Great customer service, app is easy to use.
Many thanks to the customer service…
Many thanks to the customer service team member who helped me this morning, given the current situation she was friendly and cheerful. I am disgusted by the attitude of government towards the difficulties faced by small energy companies. A few years ago they deregulated the industry with the aim of increasing competition and reducing energy costs for consumers. This proved successful and customers have saved many millions. Now, however, due to what hopefully will be a temporary crisis in wholesale energy costs these companies are being allowed to fail. They are even being blamed for poor business models - if the government was not prepared for this crisis how could the energy companies. When all this is over and only the big 6 energy companies remain they will have no competition and no incentive to reduce prices. To management and staff at Igloo and all the other small energy suppliers you deserved much better support.
Price increase 3 times in 3 months £64 to £79!
Price increase 3 times! I signed up for Igloo after switching from EON earlier in the year because they were the best value for Money. However, Since signing up for Igloo my price has increased from £64 to £79 in a space of 3 months. I feel like this has been falsely advertised and I will be looking to leave asap before the prices increase further.

I've had no problems to date with Igloo. All straight forward. Easy peasy to register meter readings and change my monthly DD.

Energy regulator Ofgem has told five suppliers to pay what they owe into a renewable energy fund or risk being stripped of their licences.
The regulator said that the Feed In Tariff (FIT) had not been paid by Colorado Energy, Igloo Energy Supply Limited, Neon Reef Limited, Whoop Energy Limited and Symbio Energy.
Between them they owe £765,000.

Sky News reported that Igloo is on the brink of collapse, having called in insolvency specialists Alvarez and Marsal to review its options.
Customers of companies that go out of business will be transferred to other suppliers, along with any credit they have with their current provider. However they may have to pay more for their energy.
Absolute joke
Absolute joke. Shopped around and joined and before they'd even swapped my supplier over they gave me an increase. 1 month in and suddenly there is a price rise followed swiftly by an increase in my direct debit. No better off than I was with SSE!

Here’s all the issues with this…
Here’s all the issues with this company:
Currently 30 mins on hold waiting to get through after I requested callback THIS MORNING and we are now well into the afternoon.
Cannot change the direct debit amount despite using £70 roughly of electricity I get charged a DD of £180 per month and they have disabled the feature to change this amount via their app. This was an estimated amount due to meter readings from the previous tenant.
Despite having the app sometimes it doesn’t ask you for a meter reading and sends you overestimated bills and they won’t allow you to change the DD amount for SIX MONTHS!
I have £300+ credit on the account due to this overcharging and can’t get through to get it back. Joke. No wonder everyone’s trying to get through if you’ve disabled all the app features so people can’t get their money back while it sits in Igloo’s interest account 🙉

A nice energy company
They are supportive and initiative in ways to try and get you to save electricity. Only downside is that they may support thermal pumps but currently do not offer this nationwide. I also like the fact that you are rewarded for being in credit. If you ever do have issues they have been really friendly on the telephone. Do respond to all emails.
No problems
Igloo has been fine for me. The rising prices is an industry wide issue and not specific to igloo. I just hope they can stay afloat.

Moved to house where igloo had been the supplier
I moved into a house where igloo had been supplying the previous occupants. I tried to switch to igloo, but the fact that the house was already supplied by them meant that the switching process via an online comparison site didn't work. I received various emails from igloo, had to re-supply all my details and then was asked to give my bank details via email with no regard for cyber security. I gave up and chose another supplier; now I am trying to pay Igloo's bill arising from the handover period between them and my new supplier, but the Igloo bill has no bank details to make a payment. Instead there is a link to igloo's website (ways-to-pay) which says the best way to pay is via direct debit, or if you want to make a one off payment, login to your online account. But I don't have an online account - it's ridiculous.
13 October update
I received an email asking for my contact details so Igloo could call to take a card payment. Responded and then received this message:
"We are unable to make outbound calls.
Our phone lines are open from 09:00-16:30.
Please contact us and we will try to help your query."
I can't call in working hours and frankly why should I have to? Why can't the Igloo bill tell me how to pay it?
