We don't now it
Easy booking, great pricing and refund policy!!
Super easy booking process and best price around! So excited for our trip! The 30 day refund policy option is also why we booked here.
Beware of lack of live support!!
Very hard to talk to a live person! Whatsapp, chat or email responses are AI agent based and do not address your questions in a timely manner
nice booking process
Great all around!
Good booking process, great staff for pickup and dropoff. Very nice vehicle.
Still waiting for resolve
To begin with it took over 3 hours once I arrived at the rental shop (on time) before I got my RV. There were only two couples there before me who were traveling together. There were 3 employees working at the time. There were issues with their rentals and for some reason, mine was delayed.
I was given an RV with almost 7/8 a tank of gas, but due to the long delay, the young lady in charge waived it on my contract and showed the gas tank as empty - thus giving me credit for my trip.
Two events happened after I rented the RV - my daughter tripped inside the RV going from the kitchen area to the back of the RV and broke her toe along with severe bruising on her hip and back. This was due to the step being unnoticeable as it blended in with the floor.
Although we did have a walk through of the RV ahead of time, the table was never lowered in the demonstration and while on our trip, we were unable to lower it. We communicated with an AI app and then a live person, neither of which could help us as the table still was unmoveable. Due to this, we did not have use of the conversion from table to bed.
When we returned the RV, the gas tank was over 3/4 full and I respectfully asked for them to consider reimbursing me for the gas. By not reimbursing me, they basically erased the credit given to me for the long wait at rental time. I have talked with a couple of people and emailed a few times, only to be told they would consider but have yet to do anything. I returned the RV on 6/20. It has now been 24 days and nothing.
I also asked that something be done about the step - a label or tape of something added so make the step stand out. I have not heard back about that request either.
It was overall a wonderful trip, but I feel the issues we faced were not handled professionally or timely.
yes very good

The camper was delivered to me a day…
The camper was delivered to me a day late, and—despite returning it after 14 days as scheduled—I was charged for an extra day of rental. Two weeks later, I have still not managed to get a refund for this charge.
The first thing that disappointed me…
The first thing that disappointed me was the poor website. No clear pricing and unable to get a proper look at the Campervans until I started to make a booking. It was still very poor. Their reviews on site do not seem to include low scores and I was unable to do a search. The score was supposedly 4.7 or so out of 5. Trustpilot seems to give a more balanced view although many 5 star reviews are only a few words long! Unlike the paragraphs in the 1 star ratings. I didn't check the Trustpilot until we were on the holiday, big mistake.
The Edinburgh pick up site was a grubby industrial unit with the customer toilet totally black in the bowl! Various campers were parked up for handover and many more in a back yard. We had tried to upgrade from a basic damage cover to Standard, however Standard was greyed out and we had to go Premium (edit, full amount refunded, suspect it was a damage deposit sold as insurance) When I was shown the van I was gobsmacked. It was totally dirty inside and out. There was a 4 foot gouge along the nearside and a rear offside panel was held on with white tape which was showing signs of age. The white casing for one mirror was cracked and the other was black. Inside there were bits of trim and handles broken or missing. There was a slight smell of cigarettes and dog. We had to cover the seats with rugs as they were so stained. The upper mattress was also stained. The pop up tent part was torn where it had rubbed on the frame over the years when not pushed away during raising and lowering and was taped up. There was a tyre with the outside 2 inches of tread bald. The garage man measured it and declared it within legal limits! There was no spare wheel and they only provided one under protest. If we hadn't already booked our site (non refundable) and if our 6 year old Grandson wasn't so excited I would have cancelled. When I asked why the van was so dirty I was told that's how they come back and they were too busy handing over vans to clean them!
When we got to site we found there was no electric hook up cable and no key for the water fill cap. The camp site was able to lend us a cable and we were close enough to the facilities to get water as required. The lower double bed was difficult to assemble until I reattached a wheel which was missing a circlip. On locking the van there was occasionally a false alarm which seems to be the driver's door needing a good slam to register that it was closed even though it seemed to be closed. A rear nearside parking sensor light was always on at the dashboard panel.
On returning the van we had cleaned it inside and out, The lady doing the hand back even remarked that it was like a new van compared to how it went out, (van is 3 tears old). I was shown that the water fill cap just needed forced on and off, I had tried a bit but didn't want to risk breaking it. I took many photos before taking the van away as I had a bad feeling about the place (I also photographed mileage and fuel level). I await any unwelcome extra made up charges.
On the plus side, the van (auto VW California Ocean) was easy to drive and the reverse camera was great.
Our Grandson loved the upper pop up bed and had the front tent panel down in the hot weather. It was a little cramped for 3 but that was to be expected.
I would not use Indie Campers again and may be wary of other companies. Trustpilot next time.
We rented our RV from Indie Campers and…
We rented our RV from Indie Campers and were excited about our trip to north west of the US this summer. We collected our RV from the depot in Seattle on the 29th June and that is where the problems started. To begin with, the Indie Campers depot at Seattle is not "handily placed for Seattle Airport" as they claim. It is about ten miles away. Their Seattle depot is somewhat shambolic and very chaotic, with most staff not knowing which vehicles were required, how they worked or the booking procedure. From conversations, they appear to have a high staff turnover. We were given a tour of our RV and sent on our way. However, several hours in to our journey, when we stopped to buy supplies, we discovered that the refrigerator did not work. (It later transpired that the fridge had not worked for several weeks but we were sent out with it anyway) The AI help was useless, continually asking me to check that the empty fridge was not overstocked. When I eventually got hold of an agent in their call centre, they went through the same suggestions as the AI. I managed to convince them to get it repaired. After a wait, I was told to take it to repair company in Missoula, Montana, who would be expecting us. This was on the 02nd July. However, when we arrived, the company was closed for the Independence Day holiday. This meant that the agent had straight up lied to me.
After further calls and complaining, I told IC that I would take the RV to their depot in Bozeman, Montana. This depot and it's staff were much more helpful but could not repair the fridge. We had to wait a further day and they provided us with a replacement RV, smaller than the one we had originally but all they had available.
I just wish to say that neither the staff in Seattle, not the video guides, mentioned that the original RV had two separate release valves for the black water. This caused us serious issues and we only discovered the answer in Bozeman.
Indie Campers in Seattle? Terrible. Indie Campers Customer Service? Useless and liars.
When I raised these issues, I have been offered 164 dollars by way of compensation.
Basically put, do not use Indie Campers.
We had a camper on hire for 2 weeks and…
We had a camper on hire for 2 weeks and we could not fault our experience. The van was clean and mechanically sound. Any issues we had were solved instantly via WhatsApp.
Kimmy checked us in and out with ease. Explained everything very well.
Would recommend and we will definitely use this service again
